Chapter 29

"Take the blindfold off." A familiar voice whispered in her ears. It was masculine but gentle, caressing the bare skin with his warm breath. She did as was told, lifted her gaze to meet a white building. She knew this from the magazines she'd have read. In elegant font, the name of this restaurant was carved right out of its marble wall: "Hestia's"

A restaurant only businessmen, celebrity, politicians and men of power can hope to enter.

"Oh, My…" She trailed off as she quickly spun on her heels to meet the man behind her. He was smirking and his stormy blue eyes twinkled in mirth and pride. "Thank you…" That was what her lips could only allow as no other words were enough to convey that simple message.

"Well, let's get going, Blondie. The food ain't ordering themselves." He offered his arms into which she gladly slid hers into as they strode off towards the opened doors, where they were greeted by not only by person standing there, but also with several pairs of curious eyes.

"A table for two?" The man waiting by the desk on the front doors spoke.

"A table for Mr. and Mrs. Dreyar." Laxus said in a tone that enforces formality. Wow, never would have thought that this normally brash guy could have well…a wholesome image…Wait, did he just say Mr. and Mrs. Dreyar? He sure did! Lucy smiled in content as she was called in that name. Lucy Dreyar. It really has a nice ring into it.

"Follow me, sir." The man started towards another opened glass doors and the couples followed, stares of curiosity peppered them as they strode off, arm in arm. Some gasped while others seemed to be stuck in wonder. Maybe they recognized who they were. Lucy's chest swelled with pride. Beside her, Laxus, seemed to have paid them no mind. As a Dreyar, well, he was accustomed to these kinds of admiration. But for now, she will bask on the attention these people gave her. It has been a long time since she was the center of attention, since she wore pretty dresses and lived in the mansion of the Heartfilia Konzern.

Cool air brushed her face as they exited the glass doors and was welcomed by the sight of a table intimate for two. Silverware glistened as soft beams of the moonlight touched them. Lucy scanned the surroundings. An open ground, she decided. Marble floors ended in stairs three feet away from the greenery and red roses. In the center of the garden was a large fountain, its water glittered and gracefully cascaded as it caught the light of the full moon.

A soft melody caught her attention. Three people ten feet away from the table, in an elevated marble space, decorated by Doric columns in a semicircle shape were playing. A girl played a cello. The man sat down as he pressed the keys of the piano and another man stood beside the cello girl and played the violin. Their rhythm was hypnotic.

"Blondie." Laxus called her and gestured for her towards the waiting table.

"Never thought that this was possible, Spark Plug." Lucy teased as she was led to a chair by Laxus, pushing it lightly as she settled down.

"Can it, Bug Eyes." He walked towards the other chair. Despite his supposed-to-be blunt statement, she could see a faint blush in his cheeks. Was he embarrassed? Laxus and embarrassed? Cute.

'Oh, this is so good.' Inner Lucy snickered.

"Mr. Dreyar, may I serve the appetizers now?" The man standing beside Laxus spoke up.

"Nah, maybe later." He turned towards her with a serious expression. Uh-oh.

Lucy could still remember what happened yesterday. And boy, it was sooo romantic. She doesn't care how so-twenty-years-old she was, because last night made her feel just like a certified teenager living the teenage dream. Whenever Laxus do something related to romance (which pretty much was rare), Oh, Mavis, she could still feel her knees trembling under his gaze.

He had taken her to an expensive restaurant.

Oh. My. Gosh. He had taken her to an expensive restaurant. She could still giggle.

Not just any expensive restaurant. It was "Hestia's", the most sought-after restaurant in the whole of Fiore.

And they had dinner an open space, overlooking a garden, under the gaze of the full moon, with soft music humming in graceful melody played by the finest of musicians. Oh, how she could still want to relive that. She sighed in content. Oh, dear, Mavis, she fell in love again and again.

She could still remember the terror when he turned his attention on her with a serious expression. Uh-oh, that was what she thought, gulping probably all of her saliva, tongue, teeth...probably even her uvula. Her hands were trembling in an unknown guilt. She thought of all the past sins she'd committed only to be dumbfounded when she hear him say sorry.

He apologized for his immature behavior which Lucy already can't remember. How was that? "Who's Chico?" She asked as she stared directly into his stormy blue eyes. Mavis, she can't remember a freaking thing about the food or the sound. It's just the glorious eyes.

"Uh, our guild mate?" His eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Really?" She sighed dreamily, her eyes trailing down to the bridge of his nose, to his lips. It was only now that she realized that his lips were…oh how, perfect they were. Perfect for kissing her.

Then their talk made a drastic turn towards the Sting Eucliffe and Jellal Fernandes incident and the magic suddenly vanished. The atmosphere turned sour and she was slapped back into reality.

For just a moment. How heart-stopping that was. She worried the whole night would be destroyed.

She fumbled for words at how she has no, absolutely no relationship between those two guys. Though she knew she was innocent of such accuses, she still felt nervous that he might misunderstand some things and then one thing would lead to another…and…and she might not get married. Hey, she's a woman and even if she has to cross hell, she will have to, just to fix this damn problem and ring those wedding bells.

"Jellal just wants to talk about my power and all." She said. Laxus just nodded in understanding. He already knew what that guy wanted from them.

"What about that Eucliffe kid?" He frowned, visibly pissed off at how in the early morning they both looked wasted. His hands clenched on the table but before he could break anything, (which probably, he can) Lucy reached out and held it, her thumbs brushing circles in his knuckles. He relaxed.

"He asked me about how to confess. Specifically, how you confessed." Lucy gave him a reassuring smile.

"Nosy kid. Did you tell him that?" Despite not mentioning it, Lucy knew what he meant. And that was her supposed death.

"Nah, I only said that he better confess in a romantic way." When Lucy still saw that he seems unconvinced, she spoke again. "Oh, don't worry; it's not me he's hitting on. It's Yukino."

"Well, he better be, 'cause I ain't sharing." He smirked.

"I know. You're selfish." Lucy smiled, teasing.

"Hey!" He exclaimed and replied. "You too."

"I know, so let's just both be selfish for a while." Lucy finalized, giggling. Then the magic returned. Laxus stood up and offered her his hand, taking her in the center and danced in the music.

Who knew Laxus, The Laxus, could actually be charming. If he could do this forever, Lucy wasn't one to complain. Never. It will be like, 'One sweet, yummy hubby, please!' everyday for the rest of her life. If Laxus even wished it, she would spread her legs wide open and get on with the thirty babies. Sadly, he didn't. How disappointing that was but then again, she understood that they're only starting off as a couple and she was the one who wants to be married first.

Yeah, perfection doesn't really exist. And it was better this way. At least the atmosphere wasn't destroyed, just her feet. Yep, the real Laxus wasn't rainbows and butterflies and velvety voice. That would be Dream Laxus. This Laxus was the real one because he stepped on her foot every time they waltzed. It hurts.

And thanks to that, she had an excuse to be carried by the hunk until they reached the inn, where they kissed outside of the building in the dark of night…

"Oi, Luce! Stop dazing." Natsu snapped her out of her memory lane. Oh, come on! Just when she was finally in a happy place…

"Lushyyy, you're drooling!" Happy the annoying Exceed followed but just to be safe she wiped her face with the back of her hands. Considering the romance, she might actually be drooling the whole time.

"Huh? What time is it?" Lucy spoke up, trying to readjust her sense of time. For all she knew, she was daydreaming here and today's the wedding. She scanned the surrounding and came up with the answer that it was not yet the wedding day. Darn it!

The sky was orange and dimming in the horizon. She could see that from their watching stand. Watching stand? What the? Were they watching someone? And how on Earthland did this happen? In blaring lights, she saw the scores for the day. December 10, X794. What the hell? It's already the fifth day? And the sun's already setting? Just how much time did she spend reliving last night's event? Darn it! She looked at her side, there, on her left was Gray, on the right was Natsu with Happy and on the front was Erza…she was looking at something…and why does her shoulders seemed to be shaking?

Lucy gulped. Did she do smoothing wrong? Was her going to Lala Land the reason that their team lost? Oh, no! Oh, boy! This can't be a good thing. The blonde slowly went her way towards the redhead to utter her apologies but Titania was looking at the score board, so she too followed her team mate's gaze.

Fairy Tail B = 20

Fairy Tail A = 19 + 1 = 20

Sabertooth = 17 + 1 = 18

Mermaid Heel = 9

Lamia Scale = 7 + 1 = 8

Blue Pegasus = 5

"What happened?" Lucy asked out of the blue, noticing that their team won. Thankfully!

"Erza won but Jellal wasn't so lucky." Gray replied, moving towards the two women at the front.

"Why? Who'd he fought?"

"Jura." That was Natsu.

"Come on, Erza. That guy's one of the Ten Wizard Saints. It's only natural for him to win." Gray explained, trying to dispel the tense atmosphere. With Erza's condition right now, it's guaranteed that she'll throw a tantrum. And Erza and tantrums don't mix well.

"Y-Yeah, w-we should check up on him to know if he's alright. Right, Lucy?" Natsu stuttered. He too, doesn't know how to deal with a foul mood Erza. She might as well beat him to pulp than have her silent all the time. Too scary.

"U-Uh, Y-yeah…" Lucy trailed off. She better cooperate now or the three of them will have a taste of Erza's red-hot anger.

A/N: And here's another update, you guys!

Nightmare Senshi: Hmmm...Thank you for those words because now I have an insight on how I should write the wedding chapter. Thanks! :D

clairedamoon: Ohhh...I'm sorry about that. I kinda misunderstood it. Thanks by the way for the review and the compliment about my writing style (believe me, I'm stressing about that for months) but I can't promise you that I can make the story longer. Maybe ten chapters...I dunno. I mean, at some point, this couple has got to finally tie the knot. We're all LaLu fans here so, yeah, this should be a happy ending.

supercrazyperson: YOU. ARE. SO. AMAZING! Though I don't have plans of watching Bridezilla, I have searched it as soon as I'v read your review and it gave me an instant idea on how to write that chapter. Oh, My God! You're my savior! :D

twilightamanda: Here's the new chapter and don't worry. Vacation really has this effects on us, so I can't blame you. I've always had those post-vacation liberating feeling. :D

OgaxHilda: Thanks for that! Men really are fickle creatures especially Gray Fullbuster. I mean, (no offense to his fans out there) he's always denying Juvia of her affections but does things that will make her fall in love...How weird is that? Hahaha :D
