In the early days of the Disney Princesses dwelling together, we find Aurora relaxing outside the Princess Pad in the courtyard. She swung her husband's sword, moving through some exercises with some difficulty. She huffed in frustration, as the movements did not come easily to her. Mulan came out into the pleasant courtyard, and smiled at Aurora.

"Hello Aurora! How are you?" Mulan asked. Aurora started in shock.

"Oh! Mulan! Uh, hello! I'm all right." She tried to hide the sword behind her back. "You?"

"Fine," Mulan said. She looked over Aurora with a bemused expression. "Practicing with the sword?"

Aurora sighed.

"Well, that's what everyone wants nowadays. Princesses with swords," she scowled as she lifted the sword back up. "But I didn't need one in my movie... Neither did most of us!" She let the sword slump down, and panted in frustration.

Mulan patted her shoulder. "There's no shame in not being good at something, you know."

Aurora snorted. "This from the warrior girl herself."

Mulan chuckled.

"It's just how my story went. Your story went another way. It doesn't make either way better or worse, just different!" Mulan beamed. "But if you do want to learn how to use a sword, I'm happy to teach you. It didn't come naturally to me, either. I had to train for a long time."

Aurora smiled back. "I think I'd like that, Mulan."

It was this moment that a small, red dragon popped out of Mulan's robe. He landed in front of the two princesses, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, anything to get the slash writers typing harder-" He began to snark, but he was interrupted by two things: Aurora screaming, and frantically swinging her sword at him.

"AHHHH! NO! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Mushu shouted, dodging the strikes.

"DRAGON! DRAGON! DRAGONNNNN!" Aurora shrieked, violently swinging her sword around at him. Mulan narrowly got behind her, and locked her arms to stop her attack as Mushu cowered behind a birdbath.

"AURORA! AURORA, CALM! CALM! IT'S OKAY, IT'S OKAY!" Mulan shouted. Aurora's struggles slowed, and she very slowly calmed down as she gasped for breath.

"Haa... Haa... Haa... R-Right... Right... Sorry... I'm okay... I'm okay…" Aurora panted. Mushu poked his head out from behind the birdbath, glaring at Aurora.

"What the heck was that about, Sleepyhead?!" The dragon demanded. Aurora looked aside, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment as well as strain.

"I had a bad experience with a dragon once, all right?!" She said defensively. Mushu growled, jabbing his clawed finger at her.

"Oh sure, so all dragons are alike now, huh? You princesses look all alike to me too, ya know!"

Aurora was indignant.

"This dragon tried to KILL MY HUSBAND! IT WAS TRAUMATIC!"

Mushu hissed.

"How would you know?! You were asleep for that part! Like you were for MOST OF YOUR MOVIE!"

Aurora seethed, kicking her legs to try and get the little dragon.

"You little-!" Aurora growled. Mulan rolled her eyes and sighed.

"Mushu! Aurora! Calm down, everyone... It's just a misunderstanding, so let's all apologize and get along. Okay?"

Aurora sighed. Mulan scowled at her. Aurora nodded, and Mulan let her go. Aurora looked contritely over at Mushu.

"I am very sorry, Mushu. Can you forgive me?" She asked. Mushu huffed and crossed his arms. Mulan glared at him. He glared back. Finally, he gave in with a sigh.

"Eh, yeah. I'm sorry too," Mushu said. He looked thoughtful as he considered Aurora. "By the way, Blondie: I've been having trouble getting to sleep and I was wondering-"

"Mushu," stated Mulan, her voice hard as steel, "I'll give her the sword again."

"-and I'm going over here and not saying anything else!" Mushu muttered, scurrying off into the undergrowth.
