Regina sunk to the floor. They were in the kitchen. She had a shine of sweat covering her body.

"We need to get you out of this dress" Emma said leaning down. "We need to see how bad it is."

Regina pulled the sleeves off and Emma gently helped her pull it down.

"Regina? Why aren't you wearing a bra?" Emma shrieked turning away.

"You can't wear a bra with that dress" Regina winced. She was amused by Emma's reaction. She wondered if she was this shy when they were cleaning her up the other night.

Emma looked down and the wound. It was still bleeding, but it didn't seem to be ripped open like she feared. "It's not that bad. I'm going to go get a wet rag." Emma disappeared into the downstairs bathroom.

Regina jumped as Snow and David came charging in.

David saw Regina naked from the waste up and turned bright red and covered his face.

"Are you okay?" Snow asked swooping down onto the floor looking at Regina's side that had blood running down her flat stomach.

"Yeah" Regina said eyeing David who seemed to be keeping his eyes covered. "Emma is getting something to clean this with."

"Good, what did gold want?"

"He wants us to go with him to New York." Emma answered as she rushed back in. She noticed David. "Dad! What are you doing? Wait in the living room." Her face was red as well.

Regina smiled. "She's a little prudish Snow." she chuckled.

Snow smiled. "She's not from our land"

"What? Teen boobs were on parade in the Enchanted Forest?" Emma huffed as she bent down and started cleaning the wound.

"So, Gold wants you to go to New York?" David asked from the hall.

"Yeah, he wants us to help him find his son." Emma explained.

"His son? "Snow thought back if she ever remembered who that might be. Nothing.

"yeah" Emma shrugged. "But once we get back he'll take the string of death out of Regina."

"You made a deal with him?" David asked concerned.

"Yeah, i had to." Emma said sheepishly.

"I don't think it was a real deal." Regina admitted. "I think removing a string once he got back was always his plan."

"Why didn't you say anything?" Emma frowned.

"This way he has to honor it." Regina shrugged.

"I guess" Emma accepted that and helped Regina to her feet. "Let's get you dressed, and packed."

The morning came quicker than anyone wanted. Regina barely slept a wink before Emma came knocking on the mansion door with Henry to collect her. She didn't want to leave him behind.

Regina wanted to tell Emma about the vision she had from Rumple's memories, but the opportunity never presented itself. Maybe it's for the best. She has a feeling Emma lacks when it comes to impulse control.

"Mom are you ready?" Henry hollered through the Mansion.

She wondered if Emma told him exactly what happened to her.

She wouldn't blame her if she hadn't, it was so complicated.

"I'm ready" She called back as she grabbed her bags and walked down the stairs. She was wearing some black tight pants that were a shiny sort of material and a leopard sweater. Her bright red heals alerted them that she was coming before they saw her.

"Wow" Henry smiled looking at his wild haired mother. "You're going to fit right in when we get to New York."

Regina looked in the mirror and made sure her curls looked okay. "I hope so. Emma said that was important. So we don't stand out."

"You look like one bad mama Jama" Henry laughed.

"What's that?" Regina asked a little subconscious.

"It's a good thing. It's from an old song. Here" He pulled out a little gadget that started playing the funkiest music Regina had ever heard.

When Emma walked in she found both her son and his mother dancing in the Fourier. She smiled big. Regina was dancing like she's been dancing to the heavy bass music all her life. She was smiling bigger than Emma had ever seen and Henry was laughing and getting down too. Once Regina saw Emma she danced over and pulled her over and they both danced circles around Henry who was pretending to sing. He had pulled on his oversized sunglasses and pretended the music player was a microphone. Emma couldn't help but laugh and she couldn't remember the last time she had so much fun.

Once the song ended they laughed and laughed.

"You ARE a bad mama Jama" Emma laughed as she helped Regina sort out her hair. "You're missing something" Emma said walking over to her bag and pulled out a tube of lip stick. It was bright red. She put it on the girl and stepped back. "Perfect"

Regina gave her a nervous smile.

"Hey" Emma said taking the girl by the shoulders. "It's okay to be scared." They smiled at each other for a moment.

"and these" Henry handed her his sunglasses.

Regina put them on. "It's so dark" She laughed.

"You look like a movie star" Henry said laughing.

"What's that?" Regina asked.

Before they could explain it. Regina sucked in ragged breath.

"He's ready" She said walking over and grabbing her bag.

"Can't he just use a phone. Or a pager." Emma snarled.

"Look at you" Snow smiled as she walked up to Regina. Regina just smiled and kept a hand protectively on her wound. She reached up with her other hand and straightened Snow's hat that had gone lop sided. "You should be wearing a thicker coat, dear" Regina lifted the sunglasses, so she could get a better look.

Regina doubled over but stayed on her feet.

"We need to go" Emma said pushing everyone towards the car.

They said their goodbyes and loaded up into the yellow bug.

Regina looked around the front seat and smiled over at Emma. "I like this carriage."

"No, you don't you hate this car." Henry laughed from the back seat.

Regina shook her head pulling the sunglasses back down. "I think i must have started lying about what I enjoy to seem... serious."

"I think a lot of people do that." Emma shrugged.

They pulled up to Gold's shop and Regina visibly stiffened.

"Regina" Emma waited a beat after Henry hopped out of the car. Regina looked over to her.

"When we get a chance i want to talk about what you wanted to tell me yesterday."

Regina just nodded and got out of the car.

"You're late." Was all Gold said as he dipped into the front seat of his black Cadillac.

"By five minutes" Emma protested. She loaded their luggage into the trunk and noticed that Regina was pacing.

"Ready?" Emma asked

Regina nodded and took a deep breath and ducked in the back seat next to Henry.

Henry looked up at his mom and noticed how worried she looked. He reached over and took her hand. She squeezed it and smiled down to him.

As they neared the town line Emma sat up. "Wait can Regina cross the town line? Will her memories be wiped?"

Rumple just accelerated "She created the curse"

"So, she can leave?" Emma wanted him to be clearer. She can't believe she hadn't thought about this before.

"She's done it before." Rumple looked toward the leaving story brook sign and took a deep breath.

"She did?" Emma looked back at the girl then to Henry. Regina was staring out the window. Henry just shrugged.

"I never knew she left." Henry said squirming in his seat keeping a hold onto Regina.

"Mom" He said shaking her hand a bit.

Rumple relaxed as they got farther away from town.

"Remember she wouldn't remember Henry." Emma said softly to the boy.

He nodded. "Well you were brave to leave town mom" He said over to the girl.

"No, she wasn't" Gold snickered. "She was terrified."

"Why did she leave?" Emma asked giving him a not so nice look.

"She left to retrieve your son. She had to go to the adoption agency."

Henry smiled big up at Regina who has squeezed his hand.

"You are brave." He said quietly to the girl.

"I try to be, but it's okay to be scared sometimes." She said softly to the boy. He nodded taking in the statement.

The ride to the airport was mostly silent. When they got through customs, after Rumple acted a fool about his scarf, Regina sat down on one of the chairs in their waiting area. She looked over at a picture of a plane.

She leaned over to Emma. "These things fly like birds?"

"Kind of" Emma smiled. "Don't' worry they're safe."

Regina nodded. She wasn't as scared as Emma would have been.

"How's your.." Emma motioned to Regina's side.

"It's okay." Regina looked down at her hands on her lap.

Emma noticed a guy across from them looking Regina over. Regina stood up.

"I need to use the restroom"

"Here I'll take you." Emma looked over to Henry who was stuffing his face with a huge cinnamon role. "Can you stay here with Mr. Gold?" He nodded.

Emma looked up and Regina had started walking already. The guy that was watching her stood up and Emma put up a hand to him.

"Don't even try" She said as she quickly caught up to Regina.

"This way." She said taking Regina's arm. She looked back to the guy and he shook his head watching them and sat back down. She hoped he was finished. She wondered if this was going to happen a lot during this trip. Of course, it would, Regina was beautiful. Emma sighed. Savior, cock block, what else.

On the plane Regina sat next to Henry and Emma next to Gold. Emma looked back at the two and smiled. Regina was telling Henry some story and he was listening and laughing. She was glad they are getting some time together. But Emma was concerned about what would happen once the Regina she knew was brought back. She would worry about that once they got back home.

"You'll want to clean her wound." Rumple said still looking out the window. "Now that we're in a land without magic, she's just stitched together with gold thread."

"Good to know" Emma looked back at the girl again. She did seem to be favoring that side.

"So, this is what you've been scheming for?" Emma asked.

"yes" Gold simply answered. "for longer than you could possibly know."

" What does that mean?"

He didn't answer, and Emma sighed.

Once they landed they went straight to the address Gold had for him.

Regina was looking around in wonder right alongside Henry.

She wasn't really paying much attention, she was looking off to a street performer when a chase broke out. Regina's heart raced as Emma started running after the hooded man. Without thinking Regina ran as well.

"Mom" Henry called after her, but she had to help Emma. She knew Gold would watch him. If he knew what was good for him. She was running as fast as she could tearing down the street. Her side was killing her, but she was thankful that she had changed into matching leopard flats after they landed. She lost Emma when she came up to a building and was forced to choose left or right. She chose right and ran as fast as she could. Before she knew it, she was slammed into and she and the other person were sent flying to the floor.

"Regina!" Emma breathed heavily as she caught up to them coming from the left. "Regina are you okay?"

She ran to the girl's side but then she saw him.

"Neal?"

"Emma?"
