The TARDIS, or Time And Relative Dimension In Space, is the most advanced time machine that has and will ever be invented. It can travel anywhere and when, through technology so advanced that it looks like magic to the casual observer. When one walks through the doors, they find themselves in a space, a control room to be precise, far too large to possibly be contained within the dimensions of whatever the shell looks like at the time. This particular TARDIS has the outside of a bright blue 1960's police box, and belongs to a Time lord, the race that had invented these machines, though the term is loosely used. The TARDIS is so advanced it is a living entity that exists everywhere and when at once, spanning all of creation in its infinite and never ending complexity. It is a machine that defies the human mind to fully comprehend, it is a device to see anything and everything one could possibly want to see.

It's also a great place to run and hide in.

The control room was dark and poorly light in some areas, with a spherical dome that had round...things in it. What the round things are, nobody knows exactly. The floor was metal grating, with a downward ramp leading to two wooden doors with fogged panes of glass set in a three row at the top. Eight curving pillars of what looked like coral surrounded the center, where a circular console full of switches, buttons, levers, lights, a few screens, plus bits and bobs that served no discernible purpose. Set in the middle of that was a cylinder that had six hollow glass rods inside. And aside from the occasionally beep and whir, it was silent.

That changed when the doors slammed open and two teens ran through like bats out of hell. One of them slammed the doors shut and put his back to it while the other one ran to the console and started working, moving around the console with a speed and familiarity that said he'd done this many times before.

"Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up!" The teen at the doors yelled at the other, slightly panicked as something started banging at said doors.

"I'm hurrying as fast as I can! It takes six people to fly this thing normally, it's a miracle I can do it as fast as I do!" The other yelled back, the strain of concentration on his face before he threw a final lever. A groaning, wheezing sound of VVVVVVVVHHHHHHHHHRRRRRR, VVVVVVVVHHHHHHHHHRRRRRR, VVVVVVVVHHHHHHHHHRRRRRR filled the air as the tubes in the middle started moving up and down while the sounds at the door started fading into silence.

Both teens sighed in relief before the one at the door stomped up the ramp, looking pissed. "Dante, I will kill you!"

The teen in question looked fairly attractive, going by other people's standard. He had skin that was slightly tanned from hours spent in the sun, but his complexion refused to darken anymore. His arms were muscled enough to see the mass without sacrificing speed and flexibility, flexing subtly with every movement. On his right wrist was a leather gauntlet, with another piece of leather clipped over something. His hair was pitch black, a outline of the void in the low lighting, long enough to be a mess and drop to just above his eyes, but not enough to get in their way. His clothes were a black short sleeved T-shirt that looked like someone had grabbed it and not let go until it'd been ripped along the shoulder seam, jeans that fit comfortably and allowed full range of movement, and running shoes. He looked like an average, fit, teen, until you got to his eyes. The iris was a solid and, one could argue, slightly glowing silver, surrounding the black hole of his pupils. The unusual contrast between the two was a remarkably effective way to make people nervous when he was angry, as he was now.

The other teen didn't even blink. In fact, he didn't even pay full attention to his companion, but was checking one of the screens.

"You say that every other time we meet."

Dante, or his full name of Dante Price, was starkly different from his friend. His skin was naturally dark due to his African American/Puerto Rican heritage, which also gave him dark curly black hair and brown eyes. He was well built and a few inches taller, but still not too muscular. His clothes was a open red and black hoodie, a white T-shirt, jeans that were well worn and converse sneakers. On his left arm was a red device with a hourglass symbol on it, called the Ultramatrix. A device that gave him not only an alien heritage, but allows him to access any abilities of anyone he's encountered in his travels across the multiverse.

The two people were hybrids, each with their own unique origins. Dante Price had at one time been an average seventeen year old kid and self proclaimed nerd living in the Bronx. That had all changed in one night.

The TARDIS, the TARDIS they were in right now, had landed not twenty feet from him, which was actually impossible, due to the fact the TARDIS was only a device in the fictional TV show Doctor Who in his universe. But the multiverse was full of nothing of not surprises, one such surprise meaning the TARDIS had landed right there. A few things happened with Dante meeting the Time lord owner of this TARDIS, who went by the name The Doctor, and getting the Ultramatrix fused to his wrist, giving him his abilities and changing his DNA until he was half human and half Time lord. This has the unfortunate side effect of preventing him from going back to his home universe into he could remove the device, but it had still opened the way to exploring the unknown reaches of creation.

How old he was now, nobody knew exactly, not even him since he'd lost count over the years, but he'd changed drastically since then, gathering powers, experience, weapons, technology, and most importantly in his opinion, friends from the universes he visited. He'd also done just anything you could think of. Fought in an intergalactic war, check. Walked through universes with laws of physics devised by a madman, check. Fought things like giant robots, dragons, sea monsters, gods, demi-gods, interdimensional beings with enough power to destroy a universe, check check and check. If you could think it, he'd done it. Even things he didn't admit to.

"Yeah, well the other times didn't end with us almost getting raped!" The black haired teen yelled before rubbing his hands down his face. " 'Come on Tobias, it'll be fun. This place has a planet wide festival every few years and they shoot off fireworks that cycle through every color imaginable. Nothing bad happens at festival's.' Why did I listen to you?" He groaned, seemingly more disappointed in himself than anything.

"Hey, they did shoot off fireworks like that!" Dante pointed out.

"Yeah, but you also forgot to mention that the population was seventy percent females due to the chemicals the plants naturally produced and that they practiced polygamy because of the skrewed population balance! But no, no, that's not even the worst part!" Tobias said, coming up to the console and leaning against it. "The worst part was when you swooned a bunch of them and they tried, very hard I might add, to get us to 'join in the festivities'." He made quotation marks.

Dante stopped and looked at the other teen. "You know, some guys would think that getting invited to an orgy would be a no brainer."

"I am not most guys! I'm a half human half Thal hybrid with with enough power to level a city and two girlfriends that I am bonded to and extremely happy with, thank you very much!"

"Don't forget two eventual kids that are linked to a Slayer and an entity that used to be composed of pure dimensional energy."

"That too!"

Tobias Song was a second enigma that few ever fully figured out on their own. He was a hybrid, only he'd been that way since birth. His other half, Thal, was a race from the Doctor's universe that was extremely close to humans in terms of physiology and genetic compatibility, with two expectations. One, their lungs were longer and thinner than humans, which Tobias had not inherited, but he had inherited the second genetic quirk of his people. He had a much higher tolerance to radiation of any kind, his body being able to process and remove harmful radiation more efficiently than humans could, with the added side benefit of being able to build an immunity to certain kinds of energy if he's exposed to them enough.

That, however, wasn't even the most interesting/horrible thing about Tobias. No, the thing that took the top of that list was the fact that he had been made to be a weapon.

Why, some of you may be asking? It's a long story, but we'll give you the basics. Saying Tobias was born would technically be correct, but it also implied parents and growing in a womb. The truth was an "religious" organization, known only as The Silence, had been attempting to make the perfect weapon to kill Dante. The Silence was an order that spanned time and space, but nobody was sure exactly how long they'd been around. Their goal, however, was unmistakably clear.

In the universe where they and the Doctor resided, there was a question, said to be the oldest question in the universe, hidden in plain sight. The Doctor, however, is the only one who knows the answers to the question, or he had been until Dante has traveled with him, learning all his secrets, even the answer to the question. Though it was not sure what exactly would cause it, answering the question would bring about the end of their universe. So, the solution was apparently obvious to The Silence. Kill The Doctor and Dante before they had a chance to answer the question. They'd set out to do just that.

They'd made a weapon to kill the Doctor too, a woman named River Song who would eventually become Tobias's adoptive mother, but we'll get to her later. The Silence had been fully aware that Dante wouldn't go down without a fight, so they played it smart. They managed to capture an energy signature from powers that Dante had used during one of their encounters before implanting the energy into the still developing embryo of Tobias. His cells were able to absorb it and make it a permanent part of him, giving him the ability to control air in nearly anyway he could imagine.

A few more events happened, but Tobias and Dante eventually met and, instead of fighting, had become foster brothers.

"Come on, aside from the almost mental scars caused by sexual assault, it was fun." Dante pointed out.

"We were chased by thirty woman Dante! Thirty! For two miles! The only thing that tops this on the worst trips ever was when you took me, Maya and Justin to Isla Sorna."

"Isla Nublar, technically. And she loved it so why are you complaining?"

Tobias deadpanned. "Oh gee, maybe it's because I 'accidentally' got locked in a room with two velociraptors."

"Hey! I did not know they were in there and I didn't make the computer short out! Besides, you got some nice teeth and claws for souvenirs."

Sighing and rubbing his eyes, Tobias said, "Just drop me off at home please. I promised Yahan and Kazehana that I'd take them to London for the day once I got back. Apparently they found this dessert shop near the Thames."

"Fine. I've got my own plans anyways," Dante said, pulling a lever. "Jenny and The Doctor wanted to go see the shuttle launch of 1969 again and they expect me to bring the snacks."

"Have fun with that."

"That's the idea. Now, let's get you home." He pulled another lever, expecting the TARDIS to make the sound that meant it was materializing. Instead, he got a jerky, whiny squeal. He blinked, then looked at Tobias. They stared for a few seconds before the silver eyed teen said what they were both thinking.

"That didn't sound good."

The entire control room suddenly jerked, so violently they both were thrown. Dante hit the control console with his body and clung to it while Tobias went back first towards one of the pillars. Before he connected, he twisted around, grabbed it with both hands and swung himself around, stopping himself with his feet so it looked like he was squatting sideways. Another jerk almost dislodged them both from their spots, but they managed to hang on.

"Not again!" Dante yelled, pressing and pulling everything in arm's range to no effect whatsoever. "She's not listening to me!"

Tobias growled, pushing off the pillar and grabbing the console as he landed. "You've got to be kidding me! How many times does your TARDIS just drag you places without warning?!"

"I've lost count!" Dante checked the screen. "But she normally has a good reason! Oh, been there! There, there, been meaning to, there, no, no, boring..." Another jerk made him stop talking about the universe's they were flying past.

"Let's just make this easier on us!" Tobias jabbed at two blue buttons on the console, making the room stop shaking. The teen released his death grip on the console with a sigh. "Why don't you ever use stabilizers?"

"Because they're boring." Was the flippant response. Dante ran around the console once, pushing and pulling, but nothing happened. "Great." He threw up his hands. "She's completely locked me out. I can't even slow us down." The room shuddered once before settling with the materialization sound, the lights dimming slightly. "Oh, but we seem to have landed." He ran back to the screen to check it.

"Any idea where and when we are?" Tobias asked as he drifted to the door, opening it to stick his head out. The TARDIS would protect them if the doors opened in a vacuum, so short of being in the middle of a sun or lava pit, it was doubtful he'd get seriously injured.

"No." Dante said, smacking the casing of the screen in the hope the gibberish on it would resolve itself. Instead it just seemed to get worse. "Screen is down. I think she wants it to be a surprise." He sighed, glancing at the door. Tobias slowly pulled his head back in and closed the door, a strangely blank look on his face catching Dante's attention. "What's wrong?"

"I know where we landed." He said flatly.

"Really? Where?"

Tobias meet his eyes. "We're in Republic City."

Those four little words made Dante move so fast he blurred. One second he was on the opposite side of the console, the next he was almost ripping the door off the hinges in his haste to get out, his eyes looking at everything they could. They'd landed in a alley way, dark and dank with some discarded trash in places, but you could see the main road from here and the city skyline.

The people were dressed in clothes of Asian design, loose pants, slipper like shoes, and close fitting shirts with oversized sleeves, walking back and forth on the sidewalks while old fashioned cars, similar to the ones in the 1920's, did the same. The city skyline, however, was similar to the style of the 21st century, tall buildings built with glass and steel. Finally, a gigantic pale blue mountain capped with snow completed the small picture.

"Fuck." Dante swore under his breath. He'd been expecting a surprise, but this was the "kick in the crotch" variety. He hadn't been to this universe for decades, not since the Hundred Year War has ended, and his company...

He looked back in, seeing Tobias was leaning against the nearest pillar with his arms crossed, looking at the ground as he apparently thought. Closing the door behind him, Dante cleared his throat.

"Uh, I can try to get past the lock on the controls and get us going again. It might take a few days, plus I'll have to keep us cloaked, but-"

"I want to go out." Tobias cut him off. His eyes were determined as he looked at the double doors.

"You sure?"

He nodded firmly. "This place was always on my list of places to visit, ever since Shinto Teito. It's a bit sooner than I expected but... If we're here anyways, I might as well." He then looked at his clothes. "We're going to need cloaks though, and I need a new shirt."

Dante sighed. Well, might as well. He had unfinished business here, some old debts to settle. "The wardrobe should have something in your size, and I've got some cloaks we can use." They started walking down one of the halls at a brisk pace. "Maybe try something other than black?"

"Sure, as soon as you cut off a hand."

Twenty minutes later, the pair was exiting the TARDIS, light weight black cloaks complete with hoods thrown over their shoulders, dropping to the ground and fully concealing their bodies. Dante made sure to lock the for before tapping his Ultramatrix a few times. In response, the TARDIS started flickering and going see through before vanishing.

"There. Safe and sound in the Time Vortex." He looked at Tobias, who was looking up the road anxiously. "Let's go." Both of them threw their hoods up, casting their faces in deep shadow before they moved out of the alley, melding smoothly with the for traffic. A few people have them odd looks before shrugging and going off on their ways.

The street was bright, full of booths and shops that were decorated in Asian style, selling everything from food and clothing to decorative masks and trinkets. The sidewalks were packed, but the pair was easily navigating it.

"This place has changed." Dante mused, looking around. "I still remember when they were laying the groundwork for the city. Before that, this was forest as far as the eye could see."

"I remember that." Tobias said, then snorted. "Course, it's not really my memories is it?"

"No, I guess not." Dante said, looking up. The buildings got progressively taller, but linking them were overhead power lines and coiled metal ropes that seemed to serve no purpose. "How do you feel?"

Tobias looked up, silver eyes flashing as he looked around. "Honestly? A little bit like I'm home. I'm guessing that's from my spirit. Plus, it feels easier to sense things. Like..." He suddenly stopped on the middle of the street, so suddenly that Dante kept going for two steps and the person behind Tobias almost ran into him. He managed to serve and threw the teen a dirty look, but he was looking down the next street to the right.

"You OK?"

"There's something down that way," Tobias nodded in the direction. "And it feels really familiar."

"You don't think..."

"One way to find out." The pair moved swiftly in the direction, keeping an eye out for something in particular. They spotted a small crowd of people down the street and glanced at each other before crouching and jumping, landing on a rooftop ten feet above them, then jumping again to twenty feet. Their new vantage point afforded a perfect view of the scene.

A store front window was broken, apparently the victim of a robbery, but the car was crashed in another store, the back wheel spinning pathetically as a broken fire hydrant spewed water into the air. Some of the road was torn up oddly, like a directed crack in the surface, and some ice was melting in a small spot. Two things were standing near the car.

One of them like like a cross between a polar bear and a dog, with a saddle and straps on its back. It was sitting peacefully, bushy tail wagging, next to a dark skinned girl who looked around nineteen years old. Her dark brown hair was in a high pony tail and two braids that framed her face, dressed in a form fitting blue top and baggy brown pants, the entire ensemble finished with black boots with white fur at the top. She was extremely attractive and had a cocky, self confident stance.

Dante glanced at Tobias. He was kneeling, one arm on his knee, and was studying the girl with a unnerving intensity with his hood down.

"So?"

"It's definitely her." Tobias said. "It's the exact same feeling I got when we fought back then. Newer maybe, but that's it."

"You're going to fight her." It was a statement, not a question.

"I want to see how I stack up to the original." The teen pulled his hood back up, eyes flashing with restrained excitement. "And how she measures up to her predecessors."

The girl in question was the latest Avatar, Korra of the Southern Water Tribe. She had been aware that she was the Avatar since she was a child and had fully embraced her bending powers without a single doubt. The Order of The White Lotus, after confirming she was the Avatar, had then trained her in all bending styles. She had excelled at the physical side, easily mastering water, earth, and firebending, but she had trouble with airbending and getting in touch with the spiritual side of her abilities. She was also, according to the Order, too brash and impatient, without enough discipline to balance her nature, but she couldn't help it. She has wanted to leave the South Pole and see the world, bringing balance to it like the previous Avatar, Avatar Aang, had. That was part of the reason she and her loyal polar bear dog, Naga, had snuck aboard a ship heading to the city. The other part was to find her airbending teacher, Tenzin, and learn the last element from him. That was still on the agenda, but with this being their very first time in the city, they'd gotten side tracked with sight seeing, than taking down three benders who had been shaking down a store owner for money. Now she was standing in front of their get away car, two of them dazed and fallen out of the car while their friend was taking a nap on the floor of the clock shop a little ways back, feeling good about herself. She was about to make a comment before Naga suddenly started growling quietly, facing down the street to their left and crouched low.

"What is it girl?" Then she looked in the same direction and spotted what has gotten her pet/best friend upset. A cloaked figure was walking towards them, a hood obscuring all their features. They stopped twenty feet away, cocking their head.

"You're the Avatar."

That sentence made Korra smirk before she patted Naga on the head, making the animal calm down and sit. "The one and only. And what's your name, tall dark and cloaked? Isn't it hot under there?"

"Not really." The figure replied. "I've heard a lot about the previous Avatar's, but you...well, frankly I'm underwhelmed."

That made Korra's eyebrow twitch. "Try this then." She stomped the ground, expecting a square section of earth to catapult the guy into the air. Instead, a cloud of dust erupted under him and drifted outwards. "What the...?"

"I didn't come to see cheap tricks. Come on," he brushed aside his cloak, freeing up his arms. "Hit me."

Korra smirked before getting into a earth bending stance. "Fine. But you asked for it." She stomped the ground again, this time making a boulder burst out of the ground before she punched forwards, sending it flying. She watched as her mystery opponent slipped into his own stance before punching, shattering the rock into pieces before bending them back towards her. Thinking on her feet, Korra bent some water from the nearby hydrant and made a ice wall to block the barrage.

'So he's an earthbender. OK, let's go with water then.' The ice wall dissolved back into liquid before attacking like striking serpents. She was going to try and get his limbs, restrict his movements with ice. She was not, however, expecting him to suddenly slip into a water stance and thrust both hands forward, making her attack dissipate into harmless water droplets. Korra froze in shock and disbelief while the other guy relaxed.

"Nice thinking. You thought waterbending faster movements and flexibility would get around earth's solid attack and defense. You overextended that step though."

"How did you do that?! Nobody can bend two different elements except me!" Korra yelled.

He chuckled. "I'm not bending two elements, I'm bending one. I just happen to know the other bending styles for their stances. You don't have a monopoly on those. Also, I'm still waiting to move from this spot." He pointed down at the ground, where he was still standing inside the four by four square Korra had tried to send him flying with earlier.

Gritting her teeth, the Avatar conjured fire around her fists and launched herself forwards, yelling angrily as she started a complex barrage of punches and kicks with bursts of fire mixed in. She didn't land a single hit, since her opponent was weaving his way through her movements, using his cloak to blind her at times. She also felt small pokes, most of them from a finger, on her body. They didn't do anything, but she had a feeling the point of them was to show he had the ability to seriously hurt her if he wanted.

The fire she was bending started growing hotter and hotter at the same rate her temper grew, until finally it snapped. She ducked down low and wreathed her right fist in fire before punching towards the head, determined to get one solid hit on him, possible damage to him be damned!

For a split second it looked like she might actually connect, and then Korra felt his hand catch her own, the fire suddenly getting snuffed out like a candle. She had gotten a brief look under the hood from the fires light and registered random details, like his hair, face structure and age, but the thing that struck her most was his closed eyes. He'd just fought her and caught her arm without looking.

"You've got a lot of potential, but you're offense is sloppy, you have almost no defense, and that temper of yours will only work against you if you let it get the better off you." He said, sounding matter-of-fact before he slammed his knee into her rib cage, sending her flying and then skidding across the ground until she stopped next to Naga, clothes dirtied and torn in a few places. She groaned as she sat up, holding a hands to her ribs while her polar bear dog growled threateningly at the one who had just launched her back. "I do have one question. How come you didn't air bend at all?"

Korra staggered to her feet, getting angry at this guys attitude, remarks, and now question. "I can't airbend. Not yet anyways." She spat out. The guy just stood there and she got the feeling she'd actually surprised him.

"You're kidding me. You seriously can't airbend yet?" He chuckled, pulling down his hood as he kept laughing, letting her get a good look at his face and still closed eyes. "Oh if that isn't ironic I don't know what is."

"What?" She growled.

"You can't airbend... But that's the only kind of bending I can do." The teen opened his eyes, showing silver, before a orb of air formed above his right hand.

"But...that's..." Korra knew for a fact that Tenzin and his family were only the only airbenders left in the world. It wasn't possible for there to be any others! And not even he could airbend in a way it looked like he was bending the other elements. Before she could talk, a siren sounded somewhere above them as a shadow covered them. Looking up, she saw it was one of the blimps she'd seen around the city, belonging to the police force.

"Hhmm. Metal benders." Korra jerked at the new voice and looked to see a second figure standing next to the teen. "We need to get going, I'm not anxious to get thrown in prison so early."

"My thoughts exactly." The other teen gave her a two fingered salute. "See you around, Avatar. Oh, and my name is Tobias in case you were wondering." Both turned and started running down the street, jumping up higher to get above the crowds. She gritted her teeth.

"Naga!" The polar bear dog stood on all four's as Korra stood, letting her climb onto the saddle and grab the reins before she urged her forward, chasing after them.

"So, thoughts?" Dante asked as Tobias slipped his hood back up.

"She's got lots of potential, but she's too aggressive. Not enough restraint or planning ahead. Overall, I like her."

"Don't let Kazehana and Yahan hear you say that." Dante chuckled before glancing over his shoulder. "Looks like she's following us, and we've got metal benders behind her." The Avatar was following on her pet while men in uniforms and armor were skidding on the metal lines, sparks flying between them and armored feet. He saw them occasionally jump from one line to the next, tendrils seemingly producing from their arms and swinging them to the next line. Cables maybe.

"So, what's the plan? Outrun them now or lead them on a little chase before we ditch them?"

"Let's have some fun and go with the chase. So maybe throw some shots their way, please."

"Got it." Tobias spun around in mid leap and thrust his left palm out, a gale of wind resulting from it that served the dual purpose of pushing him back and kicking up a cloud of dust and rocks that blinded everyone. He fired off several more gusts of wind, looking to disorient and distract rather than hurt with the bystanders around. He faced forwards again and kept running while Korra came out of the dust cloud, rubbing her eyes while Naga shook her head and kept running. "OK, need more ideas."

Dante scanned the environment and they ran, both thinking of ideas on how to make this chase fun and marveling at how far the city had the city had come. They hadn't even had a working prototype of a automobile last time he'd been here, but maybe that wasn't too surprising. Fire nation had tanks, blimps, and all kind of things that were engineering marvels for this worlds level of tech. Now with the countries working together, it was easy to make those kinds of jumps to cars, planes...hello. He saw an elevated walkway up ahead, with an arch in the middle of it and under that was two sets of rail roads. And, if his hearing wasn't mistaken, there was a train fast approaching now.

"Hey Tobias, ever ride a train?"

"No, but I once pulled someone I knew off the tracks." The pair stopped on top of the walkway, ignoring the people who moved back with cries of surprise. They both looked behind them to see Naga running up with Korra while the metal benders brought up the rear. And on the tracks was a train, pulling passenger carriages behind it. "On three?"

"Sure. One..."

"Two..."

"THREE!" They both jumped over the railing and landed on the carriages as the train rushed by, crouching to keep their balance as the wind tore at their cloaks, snapping them like sails. They both turned on their heels, both to look behind them and prevent their hoods from flying down, just in time to see Naga leap off the bridge like they had, only for her back paws to slip and fall off the side before she pulled herself back up. Korra and the two boys sighed in relief.

"You're persistent, I'll give you that." Tobias called.

"You can't get rid of me with a little dust."

"If it was that simple to get rid of an Avatar, Aang would've been in serious trouble." Dante chuckled. "So, any particular reason you're chasing us?"

"Well, answers would be a good one I think."

Dante nodded. "Pursuit of knowledge is always a good reason to do something, depending on the act. Doesn't mean you'll get them though."

Whatever Korra was going to say was forgotten as the buildings on the right side of the train suddenly became much shorter, allowing them to look in the distance. The water from the ocean surrounding the city was reflecting the sunlight like liquid diamonds, but the thing that got everyone's attention was the island set square in the middle of the view. It was small in island terms, barely more than a few thousand square feet, but it seemed larger due to the high tower that was built on it, a spire of white. Everyone, even Tobias and Dante, knew that was Airbender Island.

The next thing that happened was a siren sounding above them as another blimp drifted lower, no doubt carrying more metal benders while the onus from before were catching up. Dante waved at Korra as they were coming up to a bend in the tracks.

"Well, we need to say goodbye for the time being. Hope you get out soon. Tobias, A-"

"Don't you dare say it!"

"-llonsy!" The finished shout was made as they both jumped up, their momentum pushing them in the straight line their section had still been going. Naga bounded forwards and leaped after them, on a direct course with the nearest roof top until cables from the blimp wrapped around her legs and mid riff, killing her speed and having her dangle while more bound Korra's arms to her side. She could only watch as the pair rolled on the rooftop and took off running, the other metal benders in pursuit.

'First day in the city and this happens. Just great.'

Little did she know, this was just the beginning.
