"Dante, I get it. You're bored, you're lonely, we haven't seen each other in a month, but why am I, again, being elected to go with you? Why can't you take River, or Jack, or hell where's the Doctor? I'm sure he'd be happy to go wherever the hell you want to go." Tobias groaned, leaning against one of the coral pillars in the TARDIS control room while his stepbrother was moving.

Dante twisted a few knobs and dials before replying, "In reverse order, he's busy, he's dealing with stuff and she's off raiding an alien tomb for her lectures. Besides is it wrong to spend time with my step brother?"

"I had plans to take Kazehana and Yahan to see the Apollo space launch later this week, which they are very much looking forward to. So yes, it is." He replied, discreetly flipping a row switches when Dante's back was turned.

"So you plan to go see something where myself, The Doctor, your mother and grandparents had a hand into turning into a planet wide hunt for the Silence?"

He looked innocent as he said, "I just get a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing I'm looking at the start of a near genocide of those things. Plus the space launch itself was nice to watch." He sighed. "I just want to spend some nice, quality time with them. Is that too much to ask?"

"Knowing the risk that you might run into us, yes. Yes it is."

"Unlike some people, I'm careful… And remember to put up the cloaking spell and perception filter." He looked significantly at his stepbrother.

"I do remember! Just not all the time."

"Yet you don't have the time to fix a chameleon circuit."

"Look, do you want to go where I'm going or not?"

Tobias sighed and pushed off the pillar. "Honestly, not really. But knowing you you'll bug me until I either kill you or just go, so fine. Where the hell are we going and when?"

"Well obviously another universe. The when is the far future. The where...well that's a surprise."

"You have this thing set to random again, don't you?" Tobias asked.

"Yep." Dante said while pulling the lever. The entire room jerked as the rotor started giving off its signature sounds. Anybody else would've been thrown off their feet from the movements, but the step siblings didn't even stagger. After a half a minute of noise, it stopped with a final sounding thud.

"And we have arrived!"

"Hold it!" Tobias grabbed the back of Dante's shirt. "We're checking the monitor first, not sticking our head out the door like last time." As he said that, he released the hybrid and started twisting dials on the control panel to turn on said monitor.

"But that's boring!" Dante whined.

"I'm not having a repeat of that time you somehow got the TARDIS in the center of a sun and opened the door. I was seeing spots for a month." He retorted, smacking the casing of the monitor. "Did you change the settings on this again?"

"Maybe. Why do you ask?"

"I'm getting interference- wait, never mind. Ok, let's see…" He ran his finger down the list of information. "Looks like we're in the year 2182 or so. Planet we landed has an oxygen rich atmosphere, plant life. Name is R-" He stopped and stared at the screen. "Ohhhhh boy."

"What? What is it?"

"I, uh, I know where we are. And it can either be good, or very very very bad."

"How good and how bad?"

"Well, we could either gain allies right of the bat if we play this right, or we might be discovered by things that have caused genocides for at least a few million years."

"Interest peaked."

"Ok." Tobias sighed. "We're on Rannoch, in the Perseus Veil."

"And what universe is that in?

Tobias looked at Dante. "We're in the Mass Effect universe."

"….you're kidding me?"

"Not according to this."

"...one second." Dante jogged towards the door leading into the interior of the TARDIS. A couple seconds later Tobias heard the following:

"WOOOOO! YEAH BABY! FINALLY!"

Tobias just shook his head and leaned against the console, waiting patiently. A few seconds later, Dante jogged back grinning like a madman.

"Feel better?" Tobias asked.

"Yes."

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Good, because apparently the neighbors are here." He sighed. "Please keep in mind we're introducing ourselves to AI's numbering in at least the tens of billions and try to behave please."

"I'll….try."

They went to the doors, Tobias in front since he was slightly calmer and not grinning and bouncing like an escaped mental patient on a sugar high. Opening them, the two stepped out onto the alien world outside.

The landscape was barren but beautiful. Desert was the main condition of the ground, with tall, spire like rock formations that were impressive to look at. The sun was orange instead of yellow, giving everything a unusual hue. The wind that blew up dust was dry but cleaner, free of much pollution, but the most interesting thing was standing a few feet away from them.

It was a trio of robots, but their design was… Unique. They had a humanoid shape with two arms, legs, and a definable head, but the hands only had three fingers in a claw like formation, with the middle finger longer than the others. The legs were significantly bent backwards at the knee compared to a human, but they were similar in height. The heads had no discernible features besides a large light that would grow larger or smaller like a camera lens focusing that moved slightly, giving an idea of a line of sight. All of them were holding futuristic rifles in their arms, but none were pointed at them.

"Hello." Tobias said, figuring that would a good start. "How are you doing today?"

The trio didn't move, but the leader said in a synthetic voice, "Identify."

"Tobias Song, and my step brother Dante- Dante!" He yelled when he approached and looked closely at the robots with no regards to personal space.

"Fascinating. Flexible but durable outer shell over synthetic muscle fibers. Can move as well as organic muscles, probably expand and contract under electrical impulses too, but have a set amount of strain before they break. Can you repair these naturally or would they need to be replaOOWWWWOWOWOW, THAT'S MY EAR! THAT'S MY EAR!" He yelled as he was dragged back by it.

"I thought I told you to behave! Getting in personal space is not behaving!"

"This is too fascinating not to be getting into personal space."

"I don't care! You will behave and I'm sure if you ask, NICELY, they'll let you examine them later. Until then, treat them like the intelligent beings they are." To drive his point home, Tobias tightened his grip on Dante's ear.

"Alright, alright! Now would you kindly let go of my ear?"

Tobias did and turned his attention back to the Geth. "I'm terribly sorry about that, he gets… Excited. Now where- right, introductions. Tobias Song, and my step brother Dante Price." He said with a respectful bow of his head. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

The Geth still didn't move. "We have searched our databases and have found no evidence of your existence."

"That's because we don't technically exists. Not in this world anyway."

The lights grew bigger and smaller. "How did you arrive? Sensors did not detect you until you had arrived at planet's surface."

"The blue box you knocked on over there." Dante pointed towards said box.

"We detect no mass core emissions or energy signature. Area of box insufficient to hold required core or element zero for space flight."

"It's bigger than it looks." Tobias said. "But we can discuss that later. Are we currently speaking to all of the Geth besides those currently out of communication range?"

"Affirmative."

"Than we would like to ask you something, as well negotiate a proposal we have." He continued.

"Details of proposal and inquiry?"

"In that order, we'd like to help you reconnect with the quarians and if we could possibly recruit you as allies, and if you'd like assist in stopping the genocide of every intelligent race in the galaxy." Dante stated casually. "You know, nothing serious."
