A/N- my beta ( fine-i-give-in) told me to have a more hopeful/happy ending. Thisis the best i could do. Enjoy.

The train station is full and noisy and it's not blank and white, but almost exactly how you remember it, bursting with colour and sooty grey around the corners.

"All right, Moony?" says a voice, familiar, like an old friend, perhaps. And somewhere close by you can hear an echo of laughter that you know so well.

You look back, just briefly. Catch a glimpse of if you maybe stepped away from the platform.

There is a thread, still, tied to the other end, unwinding quickly but still just hanging on. And the other end is reaching out towards something else. Where you can hear James and Lily and Sirius.

Part of you kind of just wants to cut the thread. See what will happen.

"All right, Moony?" says a voice again, but a different one, this time, and you have not heard it in so, so long. "C'mon the train'll be leaving soon and you don't wanna miss it."

There aren't any clocks in the station, so you don't know that for sure, but you feel the words leave you, and your feet following after them, instinctually. Because wolves hunt best in packs.

You step on the train, and some others in the station do too, and some don't. That's okay, you guess.

The train doesn't whistle before it leaves, like the one you once knew did. There's no warning, and something in yourself snags, catches, still holding, clinging on.

And there's still a reason to hold, you know - there always is. But you are so very tired and you can hear your friends and you just really, really miss them.

Besides, it's too late now.

"Hey there, Handsome," he greets you, and somewhere in the distance you can hear someone saying "Oh my god, Sirius," and you almost laugh, because he was indeed the Grim. "Ready for an adventure?"
