Now I'm out here looking like revenge
Feelin' like a ten, the best I ever been
And yeah, I know how bad it must hurt
To see me like this, but it gets worse (wait a minute)
Now you're out here looking like regret
Ain't too proud to beg, second chance you'll never get
And yeah, I know how bad it must hurt to see me like this
But it gets worse (wait a minute)
Now payback is a bad bitch
And baby, I'm the baddest
You fuckin' with a savage
Can't have this, can't have this (ah)
And it'd be nice of me to take it easy on ya, but nah
Baby, I'm sorry (I'm not sorry)
Baby, I'm sorry (I'm not sorry)
Being so bad got me feelin' so good
Showing you up like I knew that I would
Baby, I'm sorry (I'm not sorry)
Baby, I'm sorry (I'm not sorry)
Feeling inspired 'cause the tables have turned
Yeah, I'm on fire and I know that it burns
Sorry not Sorry by Demi Lovato
"Alright Isaac these are the rules... This is your home now too, so eat whatever you want and make yourself comfortable, just clean up after yourself. For right now you aren't allowed to leave the apartment. You're technically a fugitive so just stay here unless Derek and/or I is with you. When all this is cleared up you're allowed to come and go as you please, just let me know where you are and if you'll be out late let me know just so I'm in the loop. Any questions?" Isaac shook his head as he stared at the table. I walked over and sat next to him and took a sip of my coffee. "Everything okay?"
"Yeah, it's just. My dad... he was a crap dad ever since Cam died... but I-" Isaac stopped and struggled to get the words out. I smiled softly and covered his hand with my own.
"It's okay to miss him Isaac. As shitty as he was he wasn't always that way, right? And he was still your dad, it okay to mourn him." Isaac nodded but didn't say anything else. I pulled my hand back from his and continued to drink my coffee. Derek entered the kitchen at that point and I smiled at him. He walked towards me and placed a kiss on top of my head before heading to the fridge.
"I already checked. There isn't much for breakfast in there. I'll go grocery shopping later today." I told him. Derek nodded and closed the door.
"Wanna go to Lou and Betty's? It's the next town over, and there hasn't been anything on the news about Isaac so we could probably get away with it." I looked to Isaac.
"What'd ya think? Wanna risk it?" The boy shrugged.
"I don't know, I've never really been a fugitive before." Isaac mumbled and I laughed.
"Don't worry, Hun. Derek's an expert on being a fugitive." I told him with a wink. Derek rolled his eyes at me. "We'll get ya a baseball hat and some sunglasses."
Isaac, Derek and I piled into the Camaro once I found some sunglasses and a hat for Isaac. As we started the trip to Lou and Betty's I hooked my phone up and began scrolling through songs on my phone.
"Any requests?" I questioned my two companions.
"No, I'm good with whatever." Isaac responded. I nodded as Derek spoke up from the driver's seat.
"Anything as long as it's not Disney." I pouted at him.
"You're no fun." I told him before picking a song. As the words began to drift through the speakers I began to sing along.
"Snap ya fingers, do the step, you can do it all by yourself Woo, baby girl, what's your name?
Let me talk to you, let me buy you a drink
I'm T-pain, you know me
Konvict music nappy boy ooh
I know the club close at three
What's the chances that you are rollin' wit' me?
Back to the crib, show you how I live
Let's get drunk, forget what we did" Derek smiled at me in amusement as I began dancing in my seat. Isaac laughed from the backseat.
"How do you have so much energy in the morning?" Isaac questioned, Derek snorted and I rolled my eyes at my mate.
"Coffee does wonderful things for a person, dude."
"Don't let her fool you, she's a crab ass in the morning."
"I am not." I argued trying to play innocent, Derek sent me a "Yeah right" Look.
"Um do you remember the time the coffee machine broke at your dads and we didn't have time to stop and get coffee before school, junior year?" I smiled fondly at the memory.
I slammed the door of my car in irritation as Derek, Laura, and I pulled up to the school. As we walked I glared angrily at anyone that said hi to me. Not in the mood to deal with people's ridiculously happy moods. Laura snickered from behind me at the scared looks people adopted. As we made it inside Laura patted Derek on the shoulder.
"Good luck with crabby, Der." Laura told him with a snicker before turning around and heading to her first hour. I glared at the girls back and flipped her the bird. Derek rolled his eyes at me.
"Jesus, C. You've been awake for two hours. Pretty sure you can handle one day without some coffee. Get over it."
"Bite me, Hale." I snapped storming off towards class.
I slammed my bag on my desk as Derek headed to his seat in front of me.
"Damn, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." A voice spoke up from next to me. I didn't even look up, knowing it was the biggest douche bag in the school.
"Fuck off Alex. I'm not in the mood to deal with your bullshit today." I said as I began pulling my supplies out of my bag.
"Aww is someone PMSing?" He asked with a laugh, a couple of his friends chuckling behind him. I rolled my eyes and turned towards him.
"Cora, leave it." I heard Derek order from behind me, but I ignored him.
"You know Alex. I bet, if you put as much time and energy into thinking about the words that come out of your mouth as you did on your hair, you'd probably not be such a stupid piece of shit." I told him. I heard some snickers through the classroom and a sigh from Derek.
"Wow, you're being extra cunt-y today. Aren't ya?" Alex asked with a smirk. I felt Derek step towards me and place a hand on my shoulder. I blinked at Alex as a hush fell over the room.
"Alex, that's enough." Derek warned.
"Excuse me?"
"Oh, I'm sorry did you need me to slow it down for you, Cavanaugh? You're. Being. Extra. Cun-" Derek's hand fell from my shoulder as I moved, either not expecting it, or not caring. Alex's sentence was cut off by my fist slamming across his jaw. The boy stumbled and as I went to go for another hit, Derek's arms wrapped around me and spun so the He was standing between Alex and I. I glared at him in irritation.
"Jesus fuck, Hale. You need to keep your psycho whore on a tighter leash before she gets herself hurt." I smirked as I saw Derek's eyes flash blue for just the briefest moment before he turned and slammed a fist into Alex's eye, causing the boy to drop to the floor.
"You need to keep your fucking mouth shut instead of running it all the time." Derek snapped. At that moment, our home room teacher walked in taking in the scene.
"What's going on here?" He asked as he saw Derek and I standing watching Alex's friends help him up.
"They attacked me!"
I smiled as Isaac let out a laugh from the backseat at the story. Derek shook his head.
"How much trouble did you guys get in?"
"I got suspended for like two days and Derek just couldn't play in the basketball game that week."
"Why didn't you get suspended?" Isaac asked Derek curiously. Derek snorted.
"Because unlike Cora, I didn't make a habit of getting in fights." I stuck my tongue out at Derek. "Mature." He told me as we pulled into Lou and Betty's. I blew him a kiss and climbed out of the car pushing the seat forward for Isaac.
As we headed in I smiled widely at Betty as she caught sight of us.
"Oh! Cora! I'm so happy to see you, dear! We've missed you!" The elderly woman exclaimed as she rushed over and pulled me into a hug. She grinned widely at Derek and pulled him into a hug as well. "And Derek! It's so good to see you kids!" Betty stepped back.
"It's good to see you too, Betty." Derek told her with a smile as he wrapped an arm around my waist. Betty smiled even brighter at us if that was possible.
"And who's this handsome young man?" She asked choosing to not comment about Derek's arm around my waist.
"This is Isaac." I told her. Isaac waved shyly at Betty and the old woman smiled at him.
"It's good to meet you, dear. Let me get you kids a table." Betty grabbed a couple menus and led us towards the back of the restaurant to what used to be Derek, Laura, and i's usual booth. I slid in first with Derek following me and Isaac sitting across from us.
"I'll send, Stacy right over for you. Can I tell her what you'll be drinking?"
"I'll have a coke." Isaac told her.
"Coffee's for us thanks. Oh, you might wanna tell her to bring extra sugar for sweet tooth over here." Derek told her nudging me with his elbow. I rolled my eyes at him and Betty laughed.
"Alright I'll let her know."
"We need to start thinking about another beta." Derek told Isaac and I after Betty had walked away.
"What about Erica Reyes?" Isaac asked and I quirked an eyebrow at him.
"Why her?" I asked curiously, the name sounded familiar, but I couldn't place who it was. Derek threw his arm around my shoulder and reclined slightly in the booth. I subconsciously cuddled into his side.
"Because she's epileptic, and she gets picked on a lot for it." A figurative light bulb went off in my head.
"Is that the girl that some jackass filmed having a seizure?" Isaac nodded a look of pity on his face.
"Yeah, and then everyone made fun of her even more because she peed herself during the seizure." I tried my best to stamp down the shot of anger that ran through me, Derek's arm tightened around my shoulders.
"That's so fucked up." I mumbled as a blonde approached our table with our drinks.
I smiled in amusement at the look of concentration on her face as she tried not to drop any of the drinks. She set the drinks on the table and looked up. She couldn't have been older than 17 and as soon as she caught sight of Isaac she began blushing. I smirked in amusement as did Derek.
"H-hi. I'm Stacy. How are you guys today?"
"We're doing good Stacy. How're you?" I asked her. She smiled shyly at me, eyes darting back to Isaac.
"I'm good. A little nervous, you guys are my first table by myself." She told me.
"Don't worry. We'll go easy on you." I told her with a wink. Derek smirked as her eyes shot to Isaac again, causing the girl to blush more when she realized she'd been caught. She cleared her throat before speaking again.
"What can I get you guys today?"
"I'll take the special with an extra side of bacon." I told her passing her my menu.
"I'll do the same." Derek told her handing her his menu as well. She nodded writing both down. She then turned to Isaac.
"And for you?" She asked quietly. Good thing we all had super heading. I had to hold back the snicker at how much her heart was hammering on her chest as she waited for Isaac to speak.
"Which omelets is better? Meat lover's or western?" Isaac asked curiously.
"Uh... I'm not sure, I've never tried either." She responded. "But I could ask someone..."
"They're both good. Just depends on your personal preference. Betty puts her cooks through taste tests before she hires them." I responded as a way to help the boy out. Stacy looked curiously at my answer.
"Alright, I guess I'll go with the meat lovers with hash browns." Stacy nodded and wrote it down and took his menu.
"Okay, I'll go put that in. Let me know if you need anything else." She told us.
"Thank you, Stacy. We will." Derek told her before she scuttled away. I turned to Isaac and smirked.
"She was totally into you. You should ask her out." Isaac blushed a bright red and Derek nudged my hip with his.
"Leave the kid alone, C." I pouted at Derek, but dropped the subject.
Betty approached the table again and slid into the booth next to Isaac.
"Where's Lou at today?" I asked curiously taking a sip of my coffee.
"At home. His arthritis was bothering him. That's actually why I came back over, we've been wanting to talk to you, but you haven't been in, in a while." I quirked an eyebrow at the woman.
"What about?"
"Well, I'll be 75 in a few months, and Lou will be turning 76 and we've decided that's just too old. We're ready to retire." I nodded, that was understandable. "And we decided we were going to sell the restaurant, and wanted to offer it to you before we did."
"Oh, wow. Um how much?" I asked in interest.
"We wanna sell for 20,000, but if you want it we'll sell it for 15,000." I looked to Derek and he smiled at me and nodded his head.
"I'll do it for 20." I told her. Isaac's eyes widened.
"Oh, no honey-" Derek cut her off.
"Don't worry about it, Betty." I smiled and reached forward and grabbed her hand.
"Yeah, I've got a business partner in mind." I told her with a wink and nodding my head towards Derek.
"Oh, are you kids sure?" She asked with a smile as she squeezed my hand. Derek and I nodded.
"Yes, find a lawyer to draw up the paper work, then send me the bill." I told her. I could see tears begin to well up in her eyes.
"Oh, thank you honey. I'm so happy. Now I know we won't have to worry about the place." I smiled.
"It'll be in good hands. I promise." Betty stood and smiled.
"I know it will. I'm going to go let Lou know. You kids enjoy your breakfast. I'll be in touch." Derek and I nodded at her as she walked off.
"How much did you offer on the property?" Derek asked curiously.
"75,000." Isaac choked on his coke. "They wanted 100 because of the House, but I may have told them to kiss my ass. They called yesterday and said they were having someone draw up the paper work."
"How are you affording all of that? You didn't even hesitate or tell her you had to wait for a loan." Isaac said in confusion. I smiled at him.
"That's because I'll pay with cash." Isaac's jaw dropped causing Derek and I to laugh slightly.
"When my mom died, I got her life insurance which was like 50 and then my dad I got 25 from his life insurance and my sister got the other half. Plus, he left us both like another 25. Plus, I got the bar, and with me not having to pay rent I haven't really touched any of it."
"Plus, I'm giving her half of everything." Derek muttered taking a sip of his coffee.
"Yeah, Derek's loaded."
"I'm going to check out this, Erica girl." Derek told me as I began was finishing up my makeup to go to work. I quirked an eyebrow.
"Nice word choice, dear." I saw Derek roll his eyes in the mirror.
"That's not what I meant and you know it."
"I know. Make sure if you offer her the bite you tell her everything. If I find out you didn't you better bet your ass there will be hell to pay." I told him firmly. Derek rolled his eyes and stepped forward grabbing my arms and pulling me into his chest.
"I promise." He told me as he placed a kiss on my head. I turned in his arms and wrapped mine around his neck.
"I'm serious, Derek."
"I know, Cora." I searched his eyes and the bond and nodded. I leaned forward and placed a kiss against his lips.
"Okay, come to the bar after?" He nodded and leaned forward giving me another kiss. "Check on Jackson while you're there. See if he's any worse." I called after him as he left. Once he was gone I finished up my makeup, I headed towards the living room.
"Hey, Isaac, I'm heading to work. If you need anything just text or call me. I'll have my phone on me." I told him. Isaac paused his game and looked over to me and nodded.
"Okay, will do."
"There's some frozen pizza's in the freezer if you get hungry." I told him as I walked away.
I was almost done with my shift that night when Scott came barging into the bar. He looked around before stomping over to me.
"Why are you letting Derek turn kids?" Scott asked angrily. I sighed and motioned for him to follow me to the back. Once we were in my office I turned to him and leaned up against the desk.
"Look, I know you think being a werewolf is the worst possible thing in the world and all you want is to be normal, but not everyone feels that way Scott. It's not like we're not giving them a choice. We fully disclose everything before giving them the choice."
"You can't just go around turning kids into werewolves! You used to be a hunter? How is this okay with you?" He yelled and I sighed.
"Part of me isn't, I know this life has its challenges, but it also has its perks… The kids that were turning need the bite Scott. You remember when you had asthma and could barely run twenty feet without needing your inhaler? The bite cures things like that… Erica… She'll never have to worry about another seizure again… Isaac, he'll never have to worry about someone making him feel as afraid and weak as his dad did… We're not just offering them the bite senselessly, Scott."
"They could die, Cora! From the bite or from hunters!" I rolled my eyes.
"That's super rare… And as for the hunters, well that's part of the whole point dip shit. You think I didn't try talking Derek out of it? We're having a baby, Scott and we're the main targets on the Argent's goddamn radar. We need three betas to have a decent pack, and all we had was you who doesn't even want to be in our pack. So, we're doing what we need to survive and to make sure our baby survives."
"Why don't you just run?"
"Because the Argent's are all over the country. And this is our home, I'm not just walking away from all of the history we have here."
"I found the third." Derek told me as I climbed into bed next to him that night.
"Who?"
"His name's Boyd. He has no friends, and he's big. He'll make a good strong beta." I nodded and snuggled into his side.
"How'd Erica do?" I asked curiously.
"Good, the bite took quickly, quicker than I've ever seen it take, other than with you." I hammed and closed my eyes.
"I work tomorrow, so you'll have to handle Boyd on your own. Bring him and Erica over tomorrow night. We'll all talk then."
Still unsure as to why Scott had texted me to meet him at the ice rink "asap" I pulled into the parking lot. My curiosity rose as I saw Derek's car in the parking lot. I sighed, I was probably going to end up in the middle of some bullshit. As I exited my truck I picked up Scott, Derek, Isaac and a female's scent. Assuming it was Erica I continued on my way. As I entered the building I heard Scott's voice.
"Don't you get it? He's not doing this for you. He's just adding to his own power, okay? It's all about him. He makes you feel like he's giving you some kind of gift when all he's done is turn you into a bunch of guard dogs!"
"It's true. It is about power."
At the sounds of fighting I picked up my pace and rushed further into the building. Upon entering the ice rink, I immediately shifted at the sight of an injured Scott under Derek's foot. I vaguely noticed Isaac and Erica slightly beat up on the ground trying to stand and who I assumed to be Boyd sitting on top of the Zamboni. I let my inner Alpha rise up and let out a loud roar of anger. Derek turned to me still shifted and I noticed all the betas shrink back slightly. I ignored them and focused my red tinged vision on my mate.
"What the fuck are you doing?" I growled out as I stalked forward. Derek shifted back and stepped back away from Scott as I approached. Scott groaned as he tried to sit up and I kneeled down next to him.
"Just showing Scott some of the benefits of being in a pack." Derek responded a flippant tone to his voice, however, as well as he hid it I could feel his nervousness through the bond at being caught beating the shit out of my nephew. I began examining Scott's wounds. Derek could obviously tell how majorly pissed off I was through the bond because he started to step towards me and I could feel his realization at the fact that he'd fucked up.
"Cora-" I cut him off as I spun around and growled.
"Don't fucking talk to me right now. Get the fuck out of here." Derek's shoulders dropped and he backed away motioning for our betas to join him. Boyd jumped down from the Zamboni as he walked past us Scott spoke up trying to stand. I reached forward to help him.
"Don't. You don't wanna be like them." I winced at his words, that was my pack he was talking about and I became angrier at the fact that Derek had likely ruined the small chance we had at getting him to join the pack.
"You're right. I wanna be like you." Boys responded as he lifted up his shirt exposing his bite. The boy then turned and followed the others out. I took a deep breath and took a moment to shift back before helping Scott stand the rest of the way.
"Scott I-" I started to speak but Scott cut me off.
"Don't worry, Aunt C. I know you weren't a part of this. Your boyfriend keeps giving me more reasons to hate him though." Scott grumbled and I sighed as he stepped away from me holding onto his wounded stomach.
"I promise this won't happen again, bubs. I'll make sure of it." Scott nodded and winced as he tried to take a step.
"Do you want me to take you to Anna?" I asked as we began walking out of the ice rink. Scott shook his head.
"No, I'll go see, Dr. Deaton." I nodded in understanding knowing that he rejected me based on the fact that he trusted Deaton, and thanks to Derek likely didn't trust anyone other than me associated with us. I pulled my keys out of my pocket and handed them to him as we exited the building.
"I'll be fi- "
"Scott just take the fucking truck." I ordered as I caught sight of Derek and the others standing by the Camaro.
"Are you sure you want me to leave you? I mean what if one of them attacks you or something? In your condition..." I snorted as Scott's sentence trailed off. I turned and flashed my eyes at him with a smirk.
"Don't worry. I've got it under control." Scott nodded and turned making his way to the truck.
I waited until he'd left the parking lot before turning back towards Derek and stalking angrily forward. Derek pushed off of the truck and took a few steps towards me. Once I was close enough I pushed him back angrily. He stumbled slightly.
"I oughta punch you in your stupid thick head." I told him angrily my eyes began to take on a red tint for a moment before I reined myself in.
"Cora- "
"No, you listen to me Derek Hale. That's my goddamn nephew. I ever catch you pulling a stunt like that again, don't think the fact that we're mated and I'll feel every second of it, means that I won't beat your ass seven ways from Sunday. You can't just do shit like that! I kn-" I was cut off by Erica stepping up next to Derek and growling at me.
"Who the hell do you think you are talking to my Alpha like that?" I blinked at her and saw Derek start to grab for me, but I shoved him away. I let the shift take over me and grabbed Erica by her throat.
"You better watch who the fuck you're talking to with that attitude." Erica's eyes widened in fright. "You see my eyes, that red? Guess what that means. It means I'm an Alpha too. More specifically your Alpha. So, I'll talk to Derek however the fuck I want to talk to Derek." I took a whiff, and could pick up underlying hints of lust for Derek. I let out a small growl and dragged her closer. "He might be your Alpha, but he's my mate. So, you better lose the crush before you lose something else." Derek grabbed my arm and tugged it away from her throat, considering I didn't actually want to hurt the girl I let him.
"That's enough, Cora. I get it your pissed at me. Take it out on me. Not her she didn't know." I turned to Derek.
"You're right I am pissed at you and you just keep digging yourself a bigger fucking hole." I pushed him again. "Why the fuck didn't she know? Huh? Maybe because you didn't tell her. What else didn't you tell her?"
"Nothing. Cora, I told them everything I swear."
"Obviously ya fucking didn't if she was stupid enough to come at me. God if your mom could see you now. Beating the shit out of 16-year olds to "convince" them to join." The shot of pain that I felt through the bonds at my words gave me pause. Derek's shoulders sank and he began to look more defeated than I'd ever seen him. I felt bad, and began to wish I could take the words back, but I couldn't especially when we both knew they were true. I sighed.
"Take them home." I told Derek as I turned on my heel and began to walk away.
"Where are you going?" Derek asked worry oozing from the question. I rolled my eyes.
"Figure it out." I told him before taking off at a run. I heard a set of footsteps behind me and slowed down so that Isaac could keep up. We stuck to the shadows avoiding areas where he might be seen. Eventually we made it to Anna's. We snuck around the back and I knocked on the door.
"You didn't have to come with me you know." Isaac shrugged.
"I know, but I wanted to. You shouldn't be alone right now. Plus, I wanted to apologize." I smiled at him softly as we waited. I could hear Anna moving around inside.
"You don't need to apologize. You were just doing what you were told. Derek should have known better." Anna opened the door and looked at us curiously.
"Can we crash here for the night? Derek's being a douche bag." Anna nodded and ushered us in.
"C'mon I'll make some popcorn and we can make fun of supernatural movies."
As the three of us settled down on the couch popcorn in hand I placed a hand on my stomach and thought about the baby that was slowly going to develop over the coming months.
"Are you nervous?" Isaac asked taking note of my position. I shrugged.
"About having a baby or about bringing one into the shit show that is my life?" I asked. Anna snorted.
"Pretty sure shit show is an understatement." I rolled my eyes and threw a piece of popcorn at her she laughed.
"Both?"
"Not really. As much of an asshole as Derek is at the moment, I know he's only doing it to make sure the baby is protected. Both babies actually." I said glancing at Anna. The witch smiled and placed a hand on her stomach.
"Jesus. You're pregnant too? Who's the dad?" I snickered at Anna's answer.
"Cora's hunter ex." Isaac's eyes widened.
"You dated a hunter?"
"I used to be a hunter. Still am a hunter? Not sure how it all works."
"You used to hunt werewolves? I thought you grew up with Derek?"
"I did. But I didn't hunt werewolves, everything else though. That was fair game."
"Everything else? How much stuff is real?"
"Everything that you could think of and more." I grabbed my phone as it buzzed.
When are you coming home? I snorted and showed it to Anna.
"Are you going to respond?" I contemplated it for a moment.
"Not sure, how petty are we feeling tonight?" I asked with a smirk, Isaac was watching us curiously, likely taking notes on this insight into a woman's mind.
"Pretty fucking petty. He beat the shit out of your nephew." I nodded in agreement and opened the message so Derek would see that I read it and then threw my phone down and focused back on the movie on the television. Anna snickered after a few minutes when my phone buzzed again.
Seriously? I get you're pissed at me, but you could at least fucking respond, I know you saw the message. I did the same thing with this one as I did the last one, but as I went to set the phone down another message popped up.
I'm sorry. I get it. Just let me know you're okay. I snorted in amusement, he knew I was okay. I knew he could feel me just as strongly through the bond as I could him. A few minutes later he texted again.
If you don't respond, I'm coming to get you. This is ridiculous. I finally decided to respond.
Try it, dick head. Ten minutes passed without a message, but I could feel Derek getting closer and closer.
"Get some mountain ash, Anna. He's almost here." Anna smirked and headed into the kitchen and came back with a small baggy. Isaac watched carefully as she poured it in a line in the front door way. The rest of the house was already infused with it so all she ever had to do was make this line to complete the barrier.
"What's that?" Isaac asked curiously.
"Werewolf repellent." I told him with a smirk as I felt Derek reach the door. His fists pounded heavily on it.
"Cora. Open the fucking door." He growled out. I smirked at Anna as I opened the door.
"Hello dear." Derek tried to take a step through the door, but couldn't due to the mountain ash.
"Break the line." Derek commanded Anna as his eyes flashed red. Anna shrugged.
"Sorry, Der. Alpha's order's. You're not allowed in." I smirked and flashed my eyes at him.
"Cora, I'm sorry okay? I promise, it won't happen again. I was stupid, I get it. Just please come home?" I pretended to think about it for a moment.
"Mmm. No." I told him before slamming the door in his face.
"Cora! Cora!" I didn't respond. "Fine! I'm not leaving this spot until you agree to come home!" I sent Anna an amused look. I pulled out my phone and sent her a text so Derek wouldn't hear.
Wanna see how serious about this he is? Anna smirked and nodded.
"Alright Isaac. I'm going to bed. I'll crash with Anna. You can take the guest room." Isaac looked dumbfounded between Anna and I. I smiled and patted the boy on the head as I headed towards Anna's room with her following close behind.
