SPOCK AND UHURA'S QUARTERS

(SPOCK, UHURA, MCCOY, and KIRK are sitting around a table talking to a little boy named TIMOTHY)

McCoy.

Timothy, you do realize what taking care of this child means right?

Timothy.

Yes, Uncle Leonard. It means that if she gets hurt I will be the one respossible.

Spock.

Yes. Are you sure you are up to babysitting?

Timothy.

Yes, Mr. Spock.

Spock.

I will go get her then.

(Spock leaves the room to get his and Uhura's daughter. He comes back carrying his daughter)

Spock.

Take care of her, Timothy.

Timothy.

I will, sir.

Spock. (singing)

My tears are fallin' 'cause you've taken her away

And though it really hurts me so

There's something that I've gotta say

Uhura. (to McCoy)

Is he okay?

(McCoy shrugs)

Spock. (still singing)

Take good care of ba-a-a-by

Please don't ever make her blu-u-u-ue

Just tell her that you love her

Make sure you're thinking of her in everything you say and do-o-o-o

Aww, take good care of my ba-a-a-by

Now don't you ever make her cry-y-y-y

Just let your love surround her

Paint a rainbow all around her

Don't let her see a cloudy sky

(Uhura comes up to him and slaps him)

Spock.

My apologies. It seems I was a bit more emotional than was necassary.

Kirk.

I'll say. Come on we don't want to late for dinner. Scotty would have a fit.

(They leave Timothy and the baby alone)

Timothy. (looking down at the baby)

You have no chance of ever being normal. Ever.
