Due to a criminal lack of Zucest, I shall dedicate a one-shot to my take on THE Zucest moment in the show - the infamous bedroom scene. Zuko's banishment will be much longer in this fic than it was in the show, so the Fire Siblings are a bit older (and far less awkward).

With the Jaeger Program nearing the end of its life, the Pan Pacific Defense Corps brings in Zuko Nakayama, ex-Jaeger pilot, as a last-ditch effort. His role is simple: to act as co-pilot for the newly restored Avatar Fury, and hopefully bring an end to the Kaiju War, once and for all.

At thirteen, Zuko knelt on the Agni Kai field and proclaimed himself his father's loyal son. But when fire touched his face, his dragon form begged to differ. In which dragon!Zuko is sick of human!Zuko's cognitive dissonance, and ready to throw down for the good of his nation.
