I don't own Inuyasha and blah, blah, blah.

So sunny, she thought. What a wonderful day.
Kagome's eyes wandered to Inuyasha's form. It looked like he was sleeping but she knew he wasn't. Besides his ears kept moving to every little sound made. Kagome smiled to herself and one day wondered of her children would have cute ears like him.
No more worries, she thought. Naraku had already been defeated. Then she frowned. Sango had lost her brother during the battle. Naraku had taken the jewel shard from his back right in front of Sango. Kagome knew that Sango was devastated but she continued fighting to avenge her brother. Miroku on got a few broken bones but overall he was fine. He didn't notice anything wrong until Naraku had been defeated, Kagome thought. Even Inuyasha wasn't that badly hurt unless you count the tentacle through the stomach but when has that slowed him down.
But surprisingly the ones she was most worried about was Sesshomaru. He ended saving her more than once during the whole thing. She was grateful, but every time he got hurt she wanted to run to him and see if he was okay but wasn't sure how he would take it. She thought back to the battle and couldn't help but cringe on how close she came to dying.
FLASHBACK
Chaos. Complete chaos. Everyone was fighting something. Blood stained the ground. Kagome just managed to defeat the demon she was fighting when a flash of white hair caught her attention. Inuyasha was leaning against a tree. She could tell he was severely wounded but there was so much blood on him she couldn't pinpoint the source. She searched the field for Miroku and Sango and saw that they were fighting some demons but she could also tell they were getting tired. Even Shippo wasn;t spared from the fight. Kagome glanced around and saw Koga and his pack fighting but his numbers were dwindling fast. For once, she didn't have hope of coming out of this battle as the successor.
"KAGOME!"
Kagome turned around and saw Inuyasha reaching for her and a look of pure terror on his face. All around her she heard her name being screamed and her friends running towards her while fighting low-leveled demons. She finally realized why everyone was coming toward her. Naraku was sending a hoard of demons her way. She was vulnerable and everyone was too far away to save her on time. She blindly reached to her back for an arrow when she realized she had run out.
Kagome huddled down and tried to shield herself but she knew this was it for her. There was nothing that could be done. When she never felt the impact she looked up and saw Sesshomaru using tokijin killing the demons. She heard Naraku roar except this time instead of demons she saw him send his tentacles toward her and Sesshomaru. Before she could react she was in the air and away from the danger. She looked up and it was Sesshomaru. He glanced down and made sure she was okay.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
Kagome nodded. She was too shocked to speak. She could've sworn she saw his eyes soften but the emotion was gone as quickly as she had seen.
Kagome sighed. There was no reason as to why she was even thinking about that. A week had passed already since the battle had happened. She has better things to think about than Sesshomaru like…. So she didn't have anything better to think about. The man looked like a God. She was single. She could look and imagine.
"Aw man." As she fell back on the grass. I'm screwed, she thought.
