Friends Forever
Omi sighed as he went along his day. Even as Master Fung sent him on an errand outside the Xiaolin Temple, his mind was somewhere else. Omi couldn't help but feel sad. He was remembering Kimiko's birthday party. It had been lots of fun. There had been cake(chocolate, yummy!), balloons, and Master Fung had even gave them the day off. Kimiko had even gotten 'Goo Zombies 6' in the mail, sent by her father along with many other presents. She had let Omi play it and it had been a lot of fun!!!
This was a happy memory. Why was he sad? It was because he couldn't remember ever having a birthday party. It hadn't even thought of it until his friends arrived. Raimundo, Clay, and Kimiko had most fun parties.
It's not like he even had a birthday to have a party on. He didn't even know when it was, thus no party. Sigh.
So there Omi was, walking back into the Xiaolin Temple, finished with his errand. No one was around, but Omi hadn't noticed. He walked inside the temple to see-
His friends, shouting "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" in most loud voices. There was a banner that said 'Happy Birthday Omi' and balloons everywhere. And in the middle of the room was a double chocolate(CHOCOLATE!) cake with nine yellow candles(standing for the nine dots on his head, not his age) in the middle.
Kimiko ran to him and gave Omi a big hug. Rai patted him on the back. Clay just smiled one of his calm smiles.
"B-but," Omi stuttered, totally shell-shocked, "It's not my birthday! I don't know when it is!"
"Well little feller, we noticed that we never celebrated your birthday, even though we've been here longer than a countrified rattler, so we kinda made you one. Hope ya don' mind," Clay said, giving Omi a tentative smile.
"So today's my birthday? Can you do that?" Omi asked, happy, but a little confused.
"We can and we did," Raimundo said. " Do you want to blow out your candles or open your presents first?"
Instead of answering Omi walked up to the cake and paused. He wanted his birthday wish to be a good one. After a moment, he smiled and blew out the candles.
"What did you wish for Omi?" Kimiko asked.
"I am most sorry my friend, but I can not tell you that," Omi said, still smiling. "If I told you, it would be unable to come true, correct?"
"Now," Omi continued, "Who wants a slice of birthday cake!"
The rest of the day was fun! The had cake, open presents, and play a few party games. At the end of the day, Omi thanked his friends and went to bed. As Omi was falling asleep, he thought of his wish.
'I wish my friends could stay with me forever,' was Omi's last thought as he dozed off.
