Hi Everyone. Here's the boss battle with Dingodile
Crash is not mine. Any OC's are mine.
Chapter 7 How the game is played
Crash's vision cleared when he noticed he was standing an ice cavarn.
The air around him was unbearably cold and all was quiet with not a soul around.
"This is a little unnerving." Crash thought to himself.
Crash noticed a baby penguin stumbling around looking lost.
Crash watched it grinning until he saw that the baby seemed to be crying. The little animal was stumbling around in awkward movement. Almost like it was looking for it's mother.
"What's wrong little guy? Are you lost…"
Crash was cut off by a dark chuckle that seemed to be coming from the shadows.
Crash turned towards the shadows to see monstrous creature hiding in the shadows. It was nothing he had ever seen before; the creature was very large and muscular, coming as a cross between a dingo and crocodile The creature had very sharp teeth and his hands and feet were armed with very sharp claws. In his hands was a dangerous looking flamethrower
The creature was aimming his weapon at the frightened animal. Crash eyes widened at the action.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing!?" Crash growled, staying on guard.
The monster took notice of him and chuckled again.
"Well, well, well, It looks like the bloke managed to survive all the traps that were set for him did he?" The creature responed in a thick Australian accent.
"Yeah I did; and here I am greeted by a dumb creature picking an innocent baby penguin." Crash grinned, although he refused to admit he was intimidiated by this monster.
"I'm dumb am I? If I was dumb, then I wouldn't be able calculate your every move. Starting from your body slam, all the way to your famous little spin."
"Everybody knows that. Duh…"
Crash didn't even finish his sentence the creature was suddenly just a few inches in front of him. The creature was much larger by a good two and a half feet.
"Oh snap." Was all Crash could reply replied.
"Your quite the little bloke, mate. You seem to bite off more than you can chew."
"Oh really? And who do you think you are?" Crash replied with that goofily look on his face.
The creature gave him a toothy grin.
"I've been given the name Dingodile. I promised Dr. Cortex that I would make sure that you were no longer a threat to him."
"Oh how thoughtful of him to think I'm still out there." Crash growled.
Dingodile chuckled.
"Regardless, I will defeat you. After all, Dr. Cortex promised that if I stopped you, I could eat you."
"Say what!?" Crash asked, he swore he could almost feel the monster's teeth against his flesh.
"You're not going to be a hero much longer, soon, your going to be lunch."
"Yeah right; like I'm going to become your meal that easily." Crash stated, keeping a confident grin on his face.
"I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt; if you are capable of beating me that is."
Crash didn't hesitate as he rushed toward the hybrid when he shot at the ceiling, shooting down three layers of ice crystals around him.
"Cheater…" Crash growled.
Dingodile grinned madly, charging his flamethrower.
"I've got the butter! Gonna make toast!"
Dingodile shot fireballs in the air aiming towards the bandicoot. Crash took the opportunity to run and stay ahead of the fireballs. Only this proving to be harder than it looked because the minion's aim was pretty accurate. But, the bandicoot kept his cool; he wouldn't let his nerves get the best of him. Finally after about five minutes, the fireballs ceased.
Dingodile was surprised the bandicoot had managed to avoid the fireballs., so he decided to take another course of action but remained on his guard. Sinice he knew this attempt would leave him vulnerable to attack if Crash got the chance.
He charged his weapon and fired on sight, penetrating through the crystals and towards the boy.
Crash barely moved out of the way before the stream hit him. He moved away before Dingodile fired at him again. Crash slid to the left when he noticed numerous parts of the barrier were destroyed by the blast.
Crash grinned and decided to plan his move. Another shot blasted towards him again, but he saw a full opening. Crash ran as could and with all his strength, he spun into the hybrid knocking him over.
The flamethrower's alarm started blaring, casusing Crash to immediately bolt away as the alarm blared loudly and louder. Dingodile tried to force himself up, but the flamethrower on his back made it quite difficult to move. Suddenly the flamethrower set off, flipping Dingodile in the air. The monster landed on his feet; using his claws to maintain balance in the snow.
Crash looked at him, but the hybrid gave him a mad grin.
"That was just round 1. Think you can avoid my second wave?"
"Just come and get me, Dingobrain." Crash spat back.
Dingodile snarled as he fired his flame throw in the air. Crash noticed the fireballs were going in the opposite direction; so he took a course to the other side.
"This should be easy." Crash thought to himself.
However Dingodile took notice of this and started firing in his direction. The sudden change of course caught Crash off guard when he felt the familiar white light against him.
"Crash, get back in there!" Aku encouraged.
Crash went in the other direction as Aku gave commands to go left or right. After an extra ten minutes, the fireballs ceased.
Dingodile charged his weapon and fired blasts through the barrier. Crash slid to the left avoiding them. Dingodile again, fired towards the bandicoot; Crash dodged to the right this time. Soon enough, most the barrier was gone.
Once Dingodile fired his recent blast, Crash took the opportunity to spin attack him, knocking the hybrid off his feet.
The alarm started blaring on the tank of the flamethrower. Crash ran off to a safe place. The flamethrower gave off another explosion sending Dingodile into the air. He used his claws to firmly grip himself as he landed in the snow. He fired at the sky again bringing down more crystal barriers. The bybrid looked to the pressure sign on the flamethrower; because of the two explosions, the pressure was way to high. If Crash irritated it one more time, the flamethrower would explode from the pressure. He needed to make sure Crash went down this time.
Crash smiled, smugly. "Are you going to hit me or what?"
Dingodile said nothing, but grinned slyly. He wasn't about to give Crash the satisfaction when he wanted to have all the fun. But if Crash did manage to stop him, then he wasn't going down without a fight.
Dingodile fired to shots at time in the bandicoot's direction aiming quite accurately. However, Crash wanted to end this battle quickly too. So he started performing a slide and run method to keep himself way ahead of the fireballs, and the method was working. Dingodile tried firing in the other direction, but that did nothing to stop Crash from moving.
Finally Dingodile started shooting endless blasts toward him. Crash did his best to keep ahead and waited to see if the hybrid would provide an opening. After running for about another 10 minutes, he saw his chance.
"You may be bigger, stronger, and smarter…" Crash ran right in front of Dingodile, catching him off guard.
Crash spun him, knocking him over.
"But, I'm faster." The alarm started blaring, forcing Crash to run out of the way. The flamethrower exploded one last time leaving Dingodile lying on the ground, covered in ash and unable to get up."
"You thrashed me mate. No worries…" Dingodile replied in weak voice.
Crash was surprised by the sudden honor in the creatures voice. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. That thought slipped out the window when a dark smile crossed the creatures face."
"But, you'll soon be up against much worse."
Dingodile teleported away leaving Crash with a baffled if not terrified expression. The hybrid's vision cleared to be back at the base's medic area.
"It looks like you've taken quite a beating." Came the cold robotic voice of N. Gin .
The cyborg scientist was leaning against the wall of the dimly lit room.
Dingodile limped to one of the cot's.
"But I have to say, you did leave quite an impact on him before you were brought here."
Dingodile chuckled. "I guess I did leave him feeling uneasy didn't I?"
The cyborg came up to him handing him a backet of hot soapy water and a crisp white rag.
"Clean yourself off before I check for severe burns and or bad cuts."
A scrawny looking assistant came into the room.
"What are you doing here? I didn't tell you to leave your post!" N. Gin demanded, angrily.
"Apologies Dr. N. Gin ; but I've come here as a request from Dr. Cortex."
"Go ahead then."
"It seems Dr. Cortex is concerned with two things: First, The two bandicoots have collected 10 ten of the 25 crystals and almost half the gems. Second, it seems one of his old experiments is lurking around."
"Amanda…"
"I think so."
"What does the good doctor want from us?" Dingodile asked.
"Dr. N. Gin, he wants you to go to the medieval period and get a report of what's going on. The hybrid, stand by for instructions or wait and see if gives you any commands."
"Tell Dr. Cortex I'll comply. What about Crash in the mean time?" The cyborg asked.
"Dr. N. Trophy has been sent back in time as well. He's been assigned to track down Crash if needed."
"Very well then… Return to your post."
"Yes sir." The minion was gone.
"Scrawny little thing he is." Dingodile chuckled.
N. Gin frowned. "Enough. I have a mission for you."
"And what exactly is that?"
"Dr. Cortex is rather concerned about Coco."
"The little Sheila, what about her?"
"She's still very young, but she's very intelligent for her age. She also knows about Amanda and Dr. Cortex is worried she'll find out about the experiments he has been conducting. He's also worried that she'll tell all of this to Crash and the will two join forces."
"What do you want me to do then?" The hybrid asked.
"Go after the little one; make sure she is kept silent. Dr. Cortex made it clear if you stop her, then you can eat her as well."
Dingodile drooled a little as he grinned. "Tell the doctor to consider the little Sheila as lunch meat."
N. Gin finished inspecting the hybrid.
"You might still be sore, but you should be ready for your task."
Dingodile grunted as he walked out of the medical bay.
The only sounds that could be heard was N. Gin's ominous breathing.
That's it for this chapter. Oh and for Dingodile's one quote from the game, I based it on how I first heard it. I've it's one thing or another. It was just how I heard it. Read and Review.
