"Don't go down there," he says. It comes out a bit sterner, louder, harsher, than he intended and the little boy standing at the door to the well house starts and turns, looking frightened. Still Souta can't make himself care about startling him. He'd have much more to be scared of if he went in there and something happened. Stay away from the well house, is a piece of advice Souta will never stop handing out. There's been no demons there for a good many years, but it's still too important.
If only he had followed it himself, back then.
