He has been studying, is studying, will be studying until he finds. And then he does find. Eyes zipping through scrolls old as the shrine itself, catching words before releasing them, over and over, until 'jewel' and he slows down.
'A priestess, so good and kind, her heart would open to anyone' ... 'love with a human of demon heritage, whose heart was so closed only she could pry it open' ... 'jewel' ... 'quest' ...
He reads on through more scrolls, more stories, more battles until he reaches the one he is truly looking for: The'end'. The 'ever after'.
And he smiles.
