Ryoga awoke that morning on Akari's couch. He had wandered to her farm several days after the fight with Carmilla.

Of course, Akari was glad to have him there and being with her put Ryoga at peace for the time being. At her insistence, Ryoga had stayed the night.

After breakfast, which consisted of eggs and tofu bacon, Ryoga was ready to leave again.

"Where are you going?" asked Akari.

"I guess I'll try to go home. I haven't been by there in awhile," said Ryoga.

"Well good luck. Call me when you get there.

"I will."

As Ryoga stepped out of the door, he suddenly felt something pressing against his back. Then a pair of arms wrapped around him.

"Please be safe," said Akari as she hugged Ryoga tighter.

Ryoga nodded, blushing heavily.

Ranma, Akane, and Ukyo were just arriving at school when suddenly a bunch of girls ran screaming out of the building.

"Happosai again," growled Akane.

"He just doesn't quit," said Ukyo.

"I'm on it," said Ranma.

Naturally, Ranma was the first to run inside. However, three seconds later, Ranma ran out screaming, with Yuka and Sayuri behind him.

Ukyo and Akane quickly caught the hysterical Ranma.

"What is it Ranchan?" asked Ukyo.

"I didn't think Happosai would have you screaming," said Akane.

"That old man isn't the one inside," said Yuka.

"It's some kind of demon," said Sayuri.

Ukyo and Akane shared a look of concern. Wondering what kind of demon could have Ranma so scared.

As Akane and Ukyo were about to charge into the school, hands already reaching for their morphers, they heard a familiar voice coming from the building.

"Be my bride," it said.

Then suddenly the ghost cat Maomolin burst out of the building.

"The kitty cat is coming," shouted Ranma while hiding behind Akane.

"What is that thing?" asked Ukyo.

"Just an annoyance, nothing to worry about," replied Akane.

Maomolin came walking up to Akane, "will you be my bride?"

"I thought you wanted Shampoo?" said Akane.

The ghost cat scratched the back of his head nervously, "Shampoo doesn't want me. So I'm off to find a new bride. I even have the perfect gift." Then Maomolin held up a box of catnip.

Then Maomolin saw another girl in the corners of his eye. He quickly ran up to her, "Please accept this gift and be my bride."

The girl then leapt up into the air, a red ribbon trailing behind her. She jumped over the ghost cat and when she landed she said, "How dare you have the audacity to ask for my hand. My fiancé Ranma Saotome is the only one for me."

"Why does Kodachi have to be here," groaned Akane.

"Just another day in Nermia," said Ukyo.

Ranma however was still trembling behind Akane and Ukyo as the ghost cat laid its eyes on him.

"Why does he get all the girls," shouted the Maomolin as he charged towards Ranma.

"No get away," shouted Ranma as he ran. Unfortunately, Ranma wasn't looking where he was going and tripped over a rock. Luckily, Maomolin was so caught up in his own attack that he wasn't able to stop and tripped over Ranma.

Maomolin then fell forward and hit his head on a tree that knocked him out.

"I just knew my Ranma darling would be victorious," laughed Kodachi.

"If that's what you want to call it," said Akane as she drug Ranma to class by his pigtail.

"Make it go away," groaned Ranma.

Then Kodachi's ribbon wrapped around Ranma's neck.

"I haven't even had a chance to visit my Ranma darling yet," said Kodachi as she tugged on the ribbon.

"Hey, let go of my fiancé. He's turning blue," shouted Ukyo as she grabbed another part of the ribbon and began to pull.

Ranma's fear of cats was immediately pushed aside as he suddenly realized that he was having trouble breathing. "Help Akane, I can't breathe," he wheezed.

"But Ranma, why do you need me when you have two other fiancés right in front of you," said Akane.

Akane was about to walk off when Maomolin ran up screaming, "What about me. I still need a bride."

"Get lost," shouted the girls as they each kicked the ghost cat into the sky.

"So, the cat wants a bride," said Kage as he watched Maomolin through his magic mirror.

"You have a plan my lord?" asked Saffron.

"Yes, I plan to use that winey cat to spread fear in the hearts of women."

"How are you going to do that?" asked Taro.

"Simple. I'm going to corrupt his heart and turn the cat into a demon. With his feline appearance, the red ranger won't dare get near. The rangers will have no one to lead them."

"I like that plan," said Koruma.

"The red ranger won't know what hit him," said Masara.

Then Kiema hit them both over the head muttering, "suck ups."

Kage looked to the corner of the room to see a figure leaning glumly against the wall.

"Megumi, I want you to be the one to corrupt the cat," said Kage as he tossed a black marble towards the girl.

"Yes my lord," said Megumi before she leapt through the mirror.

"Ryoga, what you doing in supply closet?" asked Shampoo.

"This isn't my house is it," replied Ryoga

Shampoo shook her head as she led Ryoga out of the closet and sat him down at one of the restaurant tables.

"Mousse, bring Ryoga some lunch," called Shampoo.

"Sure thing," said Mousse.

Suddenly, they heard a crash coming from the kitchen, followed by Mousse groaning.

Shampoo sighed, "Stupid Mousse forget to wear glasses again."

Shampoo grabbed a broom and was about to go help when she heard a familiar laugh coming from the streets. Then Kodach leaped past the resturante with her ribbon wrapped around an unconscious Ranma, dragging him. A screaming Ukyo chased after her, followed by Akane.

"Aiya, crazy girl have Ranma," shouted Shampoo as she dropped her broom and ran out the door after them.

"I guess I'll go help Mousse," said Ryoga as he picked up the broom and walked towards the kitchen.

"Ryoga why are you in the supply closet?" asked Cologne.

Ryoga looked around to find that he was in fact once again in the supply closet.

Ryoga hung his head, "I think I should just leave."

Ryoga was wandering through the woods, nowhere near his home when he heard whining not far from him. He quickly ducked behind a bush just in case it was a trap. However, as he looked around, he found the whining was only the ghost cat Maomolin.

"How come I can never find a bride?" groaned Maomolin.

Ryoga was about to leave since Maomolin didn't pose much of a threat. However, just before he turned around, a girl wearing a pale grey kimono walked towards of Maomolin.

"Niseko," said Ryoga quietly. Ryoga decided to stay put and see what was going on.

"Who's there," said Maomolin.

"My name is Megumi. Poor kitty cat. No one seems to respect you do they?" said Megumi.

"All I want is a bride. Will you be my bride?" pleaded the cat.

"I'm sorry but no."

"Then what do you want?"

"I just wanted to offer you a way to get the things you deserve. Women love a man with power. Especially women like that girl Shampoo."

Megumi then held out the black marble she had received from the dark warrior.

"What do I do with it?" asked Maomolin.

"Eat it and all of your dreams will come true," said Megumi.

Time seemed to slow down as Ryoga leaped from the bushes, but he was too late to stop the ghost cat from swallowing the black marble.

Maomolin screamed as a dark light surrounded him. Ryoga was forced to stand back as the ghost cat was transformed into a demon.

"I'm sorry but you're too late Ryoga. The cat is with us now," said Megumi. Then Megumi leaped backwards and disappeared.

"Where did she go," said Ryoga.

"She's not the one you should worry about pathetic human," said Maomolin. The black marble had successfully transformed the ghost cat into a demon chimera. He stood on two goat legs, his torso had a white goat head sticking out, his tale became a long hissing snake, and his head and arms had transformed into that of a ferocious lion.

Just as Ryoga reached for his morpher, five bird warriors descended from the sky and knocked his morpher away.

"Keep him busy warriors. I'm going to look for my bride," said Maomolin. Then he ran off, leaving Ryoga to deal with the bird warriors by himself.

"Today just keeps getting better," said Ryoga, channeling some of Ranma's sarcasm.

"How did we manage to ditch Kodachi and Ukyo," asked Ranma as he untied Kodachi's ribbon from his neck. Ranma had fallen unconscious in all the chaos.

"Kodachi tried to use her knockout powder and it kind of backfired," said Akane.

"Spatula girl also get caught up in cloud of powder," said Shampoo.

Suddenly, Shampoo's morpher began to make noise.

"What is it Mousse?" asked Shampoo.

From the other end of the morpher, Mousse said, "I need you guys to come to the park. A demon just appeared."

Just then, the clouds became dark and the air began to smell differently.

Ranma sighed, knowing it was going to rain, "We're on our way."

"That's weird, I don't remember hearing that we were supposed to get rain today," said Akane.

"Shampoo, no hear anything about rain either," said Shampoo.

The three of them grabbed their morphers shouting, "Sheng Xiao! Power Up!"

Then they teleported to Mousse's location.

Upon arrival, Ranma was the first to notice that his opponent was part cat. The other rangers could see Ranma's eyes widen through his helmet.

"Oh no," said Akane, Mousse, and Shampoo.

Before any of them could react, Ranma had taken off. Then the rain began pour.

"It's not even a real cat," said Akane, exasperated.

"Shampoo got get him," said Shampoo.

"There's no time and I can't get a hold of Ryoga," said Mousse.

"Fine, then the three of us will have to fight him. We can always call Ukyo or Dr. Tofu if we need back up," said Akane

Suddenly, Akane found herself in a bear hug that practically crushed her bones.

"Be my bride," said the demon.

Mousse and Shampoo were quick to kick the demon away from her.

"Shampoo recognizes his voice. It's Maomolin," said Shampoo.

The demon's goat head opened up and blasted the rangers with a violent wind tunnel.

The lion head spoke, "Maomolin was weak. I am Goatan, the Storm-Bringer. And not even you Rangers will stop me from finding my bride."

As he spoke, Maomolin's voice was slowly fading and being replaced by the demon Goatan.

Lightning cracked through the sky as Goatan went on the attack. The rangers quickly summoned their weapons.

Mousse was the first to attack by smashing his nunchucks across Goatan's lion head. However, the chimera called fourth a strong gust of wind to knock the black ranger into some trees.

Shampoo and Akane leapt into the air in order to smash their respective weapons on the demon. However, Goatan leaped backwards, avoiding their strikes.

The demon roared, causing several lightning bolts to come down and strike the pavement just in front of the girls. The blast was strong enough for the girls to back away from the demon, allowing him to escape.

Ranma was just outside of the Cat Café when he finally calmed down. His ranger powers had deactivated by that time and the rain had activated his curse. Ranma then pounded her fist into the pavement when she realized what had happened.

"What's wrong son-in-law," asked Cologne as she stepped out into the rain with an umbrella.

"I left them. The demon was a cat and I ran away in fear," said Ranma.

Cologne sighed, "Come inside. I have a potion that may be able to help. However, I don't know how long it will last."

"I'll try anything. Just get it ready fast, they probably need me out there."

Lightning flashed in the sky as Ranma followed Cologne into the restaurant.

Cologne immediately went up to her room and began to search through her cabinet.

"So what is it that you giving me," said Ranma.

Cologne pulled out a bottle of green tablets, "I'm giving you something that will make you fearless, even against your most severe phobias. The effects should last for about an hour."

Cologne handed Ranma one of the pills, which she practically inhaled. Then Ranma morphed and headed out the door.

Ryoga tried to run for his morpher when one of the bird warriors swooped down and picked him up by the shoulders.

Quickly, Ryoga grabbed his umbrella from his backpack and swung at the warrior until it dropped him.

Once Ryoga was on the ground, he tried to go for his morpher again.

Suddenly, two bird warriors leapt into the air and simultaneously tried to kick him. Luckily, Ryoga was able to jump forward, avoiding their strikes, and causing the warriors to collide with each other in midair.

Deciding that it was easier to defeat the warriors first and get his morpher later, Ryoga turned to fight the three remaining bird warriors.

Ryoga delivered a hard punch into the solar plexus of one of the warriors, sending him flying into a large rock, shattering it.

However, before he could breath, Ryoga had to duck underneath a punch from another warrior. While Ryoga was on the ground, the warrior tried kick his legs out from underneath him.

Ryoga easily dodged the kick, since his usual pigtailed sparring partner was a lot faster. Ryoga then grabbed the warrior's arm and flipped him onto his back. Then Ryoga punched the warrior in the chest, knocking the wind out of him.

The last bird warrior took to the air and drew a sword. As he swooped down, Ryoga grabbed his umbrella. Throwing it like a spear, Ryoga knocked the warrior strait out of the sky.

After taking a few moments to catch his breath, Ryoga began to walk towards his morpher only to find that it wasn't where he thought it was.

He searched and searched until he was no longer in the same area.

"Where could it be," shouted Ryoga.

Just then, the bird warrior that Ryoga had sent into a rock, leaped out at Ryoga from behind.

However, just as Ryoga was turning around, a very large pig smashed the warrior away with an open palm strike.

"Katsunishiki, what are you doing here?" asked Ryoga.

Akari then came out of her hiding spot, "I decided that I wanted to help you get to your house. I found this when I was looking for you. It looks like yours."

Akari reached into her pocket and pulled out Ryoga's blue zodiac morpher.

Just then, Ryoga heard Akane's voice coming from the morpher, "Ryoga where are you, we need help."

"I'm sorry Akari, I've got to go."

"Where are you going?" asked Akari.

"Look, I'll explain everything at my house. Could you please wait for me there?"

Ryoga strapped the morpher to his wrist and transformed into the blue ranger right before Akari's eyes. Then he teleported away.

Akari and Katsunishiki quickly left the woods and made their way towards Ryogas' house, eagerly awaiting his explanation.

Goatan made his way back to the school, positive that he would find his bride amongst the female students.

The chimera demon pushed away and overpowered anything that stood in his way. People fled from him as he made the rain come down so hard that you couldn't see. Little did he know that he was doing exactly what the dark warrior wanted, spreading fear and creating chaos.

Just as he made his way through the front gates, Akane, Mousse, and Shampoo, surprised him from behind, striking him with their weapons.

"We can't let you go on like this Maomolin," said Mousse.

"Please, let us help you," said Akane.

"We willing to use extreme force if necessary to restrain you," said Shampoo.

"I don't need your help and you can't stop me. No one will stop me or defeat me ever again," said Goatan.

The goats head on his chest opened its mouth, creating a tornado and sending it towards the rangers.

Unfortunately, the rangers were not able to get away in time and all three of them were swept up into the tornado.

Just when all seemed lost, Akane felt someone grab her and pull her from the tornado. She looked up to see Ranma's red helmet. Behind, Ranma stood Ryoga with Mouuse and Shampoo slung over his shoulders.

One she was on the ground, Akane slapped Ranma through her helmet.

"I just saved you," said Ranma.

"You shouldn't have run off to begin with," yelled Akane.

"And where were you Ryoga?" asked Shampoo.

"I got held up by some bird warriors," said Ryoga.

"Now's not the time for this," said Mousse.

The rangers could feel the rain getting colder and they began to realize that it was starting to hail.

"The weather's getting worse," said Ranma.

"We need to stop Maomolin now or who knows what kind of bad weather he could cause," said Mousse.

The rangers each summoned their weapons and charged towards Goatan.

"You're no match for me puny rangers," shouted Gaotan.

Mousse tossed his nunchucks, wrapping them around Goatan's legs. Akane and Shampoo followed up by landing two flying kicks on the demon.

"Do it now Ryoga," shouted Ranma.

"Shishi Hokodan," shouted Ryoga.

Ranma stood with her back towards the blast of chi Ryoga fired, allowing it to launch her at a very high speed towards Goatan.

The red ranger then used the speed she gained to increase the force of her "Katchu Tenshin Amaguriken"

Goatan flew backwards as he was hit by hundreds of punches that made him feel like he was being pelted with giant rocks.

Just as the rangers gathered around to claim victory, a black feather fell from the sky and gave its power to Goatan.

"We need Zodiac Zord power now," shouted the rangers.

Within moments, Goatan had grown into a giant and the zords had combined to form the Zodiac Megazord.

Before they could for a plan of attack, Goatan punched the Megazord in the chest.

Goatan laughed as his goat head opened its mouth and unleashed a strong blizzard, completely covering the Megazord in ice.

"What do we do now?" asked Akane.

"All controls are frozen," said Shampoo.

"Glad to see you've cooled off Rangers," laughed Goatan.

Ranma quickly typed in several keys, trying to divert the core energy into the heating systems.

Suddenly, Gaoatan leaped into the air and kicked the megazord to the ground. The demon then proceeded to stomp on the megazord.

"We're taking too much damage," said Akane

"We just need to hang in there a little longer," said Mousse.

"Ryoga, do it now," said Ranma.

Ryoga typed in several keystrokes, causing the megazord to flex its arms and pound its chest, causing most of the ice to break off.

As Goatan tried to stomp on the megazord once more, it raised its arms and successfully blocked his leg. The megazord pushed Goatan away and got back to its feet once more.

"Let's finish him guys," said Ryoga.

Goatan charged forward. However, the Megazord stood its ground and punched the demon away just as he was getting near.

The megazord moved to punch him again but Goatan countered by summoning several lightning bolts, effectively stopping the megazord in its tracks.

"We need the power sword. Maybe we can use it like a lightning rod," said Mousse.

"Shampoo already on it," said Shampoo as he pushed several buttons on her terminal.

Just as another bolt came down, the power sword appeared in the megazord's hands. Quickly, the megazord held the sword up and it worked just as Mousse hoped it would. The sword had absorbed all of Goatan's lightning.

"Good job guys, now let's give him a taste of his own medicine," said Ranma.

The megazord swung it's sword through the air, throwing back all the absorbed lightning at Goatan.

However, Goatan was prepared for the attack. His goat head opened its mouth and unleashed a tornado to dissipate the lightning.

"You'll never defeat me rangers. And once I'm done with you, nothing will stop me from finding a bride," laughed Goatan.

"Wanna bet," said Ryoga.

The blue ranger typed in several keystrokes, diverting the remaining core energy to his terminal.

"Activating final strike: Zodiac Fist" shouted Ryoga.

The megazords' hands began to glow and it charged forward, dropping its sword. Goatan summoned more lightning bolts in order to stop it. However, the megazord simply absorbed the lighting and channeled it into more energy.

Then the megazord slammed Goatan with two punches from its glowing hands. Each strike unleashing all of the megazords' stored up energy.

Black fog flowed from both of Goatan's mouths as he shrank back to his original size. The rain and hail stopped soon after.

The rangers left the megazord to capture Goatan in hopes that they could find some way to turn him back into Maomolin.

Luckily, once they found him, he had already transformed back. Maomolin was lying on the ground fast asleep with a big lump on his head.

"So what do we do with him?" asked Mousse.

"Let him sleep for now," said Akane.

However, the peacefulness of the moment ended when the effects of Cologne's pill wore off.

"No more cats" shouted Ranma as she hid behind Akane in the fetal position.

"Back to square one," said Ryoga.

Akane just sighed.

Ryoga had Ranma take him back to his house but insisted that he would speak to Akari alone. He also decided to turn down Shampoo's offer to erase Akari's memory. So, after leaving Ryoga at the front door, Ranma left.

Ryoga took a deep breath before heading inside.

Not finding anyone immediately, Ryoga decided to look around. After about twenty minutes, he found Akari sitting in the kitchen, filling a kettle with water for tea.

"I hope you don't mind me using your kitchen," said Akari.

"No, it's fine," said Ryoga.

After a very long awkward silence, Akari spoke, "So you're the blue ranger."

"I am," said Ryoga.

Both of them were uncomfortably fidgeting with their cloths.

Before Ryoga could say anything else, Akari leaped into his arms.

"That is so cool. You're a superhero and you proudly wear the symbol of the pig."

Ryoga did not know what to make of her reaction.

"I guess I'm glad that you're so happy," said Ryoga.

"Just promise me that you'll be safe out their while you're fighting monsters," said Akari.

Ryoga then lifted Akari into the air commenting, "Baby, you're the greatest."

However, just as Ryoga was about to bring Akari down for a kiss, Katsunishiki ran into the room to see what was going on. Unfortunately, the giant sumo pig wasn't able to stop itself and accidently rammed into Ryoga and Akari, knocking Ryoga into the kettle of unheated water.

Ryoga, now P-Chan, squealed in frustration while Katsunishiki looked around wondering why there was one less person in the room. Akari simply giggled to herself as she picked up her boyfriend and planted a small kiss on his pig nose.

The next day, Akane and Ranma walked to school like usual.

After Maomolin woke up, he decided to continue his search for a bride. However, something seemed different about him. He had a calmness about him that wasn't there before. The ghost cat thanked them for freeing him from the darkness and the rangers wished him well as he ran off to who knows where.

Ranma had already explained why he was able to fight against Maomolin without running off, to Akane.

"So it was all Cologne's pills," asked Akane.

"Yup. The old ghoul still has a few tricks up her sleeve," said Ranma.

Suddenly, Ukyo ran up to them.

"Guys, I have some disturbing news," said Ukyo

"What's up Ucchan?" asked Ranma.

However, before Ukyo could say anything, maniacal laughter was heard coming from the school.

"Please don't let that be who I think it is," said Akane.

Unfortunately, almost as if on cue, black rose petals swirled through the air. Then Kodachi leaped out and tackled Ranma.

"It's like a dream. I forgot to tell you yesterday that, I'm going to be going to the same school as my Ranma darling," said Kodachi

Just as Ranma pushed Kodachi off of him, he was run over by a very familiar bike, with a duck riding the basket.

"Ranma, Shampoo has too too good news. Great grandmother says she wants Mousse and Shampoo to connect with you all for a better team. So next week, we begin going to school with you, Ukyo and Akane. Now Ranma and Shampoo will be together all the time," said Shampoo as she leaped from her bike and attached herself to Ranma while Mousse quacked in anger.

That afternoon, Ranma sat on the roof of the school alone. He had managed to run away from his fiancés for the moment.

Nevertheless, piece in Nerima was fleeting at best.

Ranma soon found a very familiar aura coming up from behind him.

"Ranma,"

"Niseko"

Yeah that's right, you have to wait until the next update for Ranma and Niseko/Carmilla/Megumi's conversation.

I decided to have Mousse and Shampoo attend Furinkan so they would have more interaction with the other rangers.

Oh and the reason that I don't show Ryoga's feelings towards Akane that much is because, towards the end of the manga, Ryoga seemed to give up on Akane in favor of Akari. Granted he was still conflited with his feelings for both girls. But trust me, I will eventually cover that. We still have at least another 16 chapters to go.
