"Pigtailed girl, Akane Tendo, or the Ruby Warrior. Pigtailed girl, Akane Tendo, or the Ruby warrior. Pigtailed girl, Akane Tendo, or the Ruby Warrior"
Tatewaki Kuno had been staring at the three posters on his wall for hours.
"Why can't I choose one?"
Then a knock came at his door and Kodachi popped her head in, "Brother dear, could you please keep you musings down, I'm trying to study. Or perhaps I should tell Akane Tendo and the pigtailed girl of your disturbing shrines to them."
"You most certainly will not. Besides, you would not risk me informing Ranma of the posters you keep of him," said Tatewaki.
"You wouldn't dare"
Instantly, Kodachi wrapped her gymnastics ribbon around Tatewaki and yanked him out of his room and towards the pond where her pet alligator, Mr. Green Turtle waited anxiously for a meal.
As the alligator began to come close to him, Tatewaki managed to free one of his hands and unsheathed his bokken. He was able to slice the ribbon off of him and run to safety just as the alligator was about to bite down.
"Someday sister, I will sell that creature to a zoo," said Tatewaki
"You will do nothing of the sort," said Kodachi as she knelt down and began to pet Mr. Turtle as though it were a simple housecat. Although if it could, the alligator would have purred for her.
Tatewaki decided that he was disgusted by the way his sister treated her pet and turned to leave.
"I'm going out. I need to plan next week's kendo club meeting. You should also be practicing your gymnastics. Oh silly me I forgot, you were not allowed on the team."
Kodachi gasped in melodramatic shock from her brother's words as he left the house smiling.
"Jerk," she muttered.
Then Kodachi got up to go torch her brothers' pictures of Ranma and Akane.
"Have you noticed something wrong with Kodachi lately," asked Mousse.
"You mean aside from usual," replied Shampoo.
The two had just left the school to find Ranma, Akane and Ryoga waiting for them.
Ranma was the first to speak, "Head's up, Kodachi and her brother have been fighting a lot lately."
"So?" questioned Mousse.
"So, it means that the both of them will be acting extra crazy until the fight resolves," said Akane.
"Is that why she's become clingier lately?" said Ryoga.
"That and the fact that she still isn't allowed on the gymnastics team," said Akane.
"No outlet for crazy," said Shampoo.
Suddenly Kodachi popped up behind them, "My friends, rivals, and teammates, wouldst you join me for a meal at the new takoyaki restaurant that just opened up?"
Panicking, the other rangers quickly thought of the first excuse that came to mind.
"Shampoo and Mousse have to work at café," said Shampoo as she and Mousse ran off.
"Ranma and I have to go grocery shopping," said Akane.
Then she and Ranma took off leaving Ryoga alone with Kodachi.
"Well looks like it's just you and me," said Kodachi as she dragged Ryoga off.
"Ranma this is all your fault," shouted Ryoga.
Tatewaki returned to his room to find his picture collection burned as he suspected it would be. It didn't matter, he had plenty of backups.
However, he still felt the need to take out his rage on something. He went out into the hallway intending to go to Kodachi's room to burn her pictures of Ranma as well. As he walked through the halls, he saw something that he knew would prove to be better to sooth his rage.
A stone statue of his father stood in the hallway. In each one of its hands held a razor and in the other, a pair of scissors. Memories of childhood haircuts came rushing back to Tatewaki's head. He was glad his father was still on vacation and hopped he wouldn't comeback anytime soon. Although, he did say that he would only be gone a week and it had been almost three.
"Strange," said Tatewaki.
Of course, given his father's penchant for hiding in plain sight, Tatewaki couldn't help but wonder if the statue was really a statue.
He was going to destroy it anyway, and this thought gave him all the more reason.
Tatewaki grabbed his bokken and slashed the statue several times. In the end, it really was a statue, although now it had been turned to rubble. However something caught Tatewaki's eye.
He reached down into the rubble and picked up a small wooden box. He opened it to find a note with his father's handwriting.
Aloha. If you reading this letter, you have found one of two Kuno family treasures bruddah. Kuno's been trusted to take care of these for generations. I don't know what they were for but they very important.
Tatewaki looked under the not to find a jade sheep.
"I've seen something like this before," said Tatewaki.
He looked back at the note.
The box will self-destruct one minute after being opened. Have a nice day bruddah.
Tatewaki's eyes went wide as the box exploded sending him through the roof.
"Isn't my brother a jerk," said Kodachi as she took a bite of her takoyaki.
"Uh sure," said Ryoga wanting to keep Kodachi as calm as possible.
Then Ryoga felt a presence behind him. He quickly turned around to see Akari surprisingly without her faithful sumo pig Katsunishiki.
"Hello Ryoga," said Akari as she walked up to him and Kodachi.
"Hey Akari. What are you doing here?" said Ryoga nervously scratching the back of his head.
"I saw the restaurant and wanted to try it. Who is this with you?" asked Akari. Akari eyed Kodachi nervously. She wasn't the jealous type but she had to know who this other girl was and why she was sharing a meal with her boyfriend.
"This is Kodachi. She's like me," said Ryoga as he showed Akari his morpher.
"She knows about us. We weren't supposed to tell anyone," said Kodachi with shock.
"I didn't mean to. It was an emergency and I had to morph in front of her," said Ryoga.
"And you didn't have the amazon erase her memory," said Kodachi.
"It didn't occur to me. It doesn't matter, I already discussed it with the others and they don't mind that she knows," said Ryoga who was now trying not to yell.
"I am good at keeping secrets," said Akari.
Kodachi sighed, "Fine. Would you like to join us?"
"If you don't mind," said Akari as she took a seat between Ryoga and Kodachi.
"Would you like me to refill your drink," said a waitress. Ryoga looked over at her and saw something familiar about her. She wore glasses and her hair was pink. However he shrugged it off as the waitress refilled their drinks.
Ryoga soon excused himself to the bathroom witch he had to have the waitress point out to him several times.
On the way, Ryoga noticed one of the cooks had a katana strapped to his side but disregarded it. In Nerima, seeing something like that wasn't strange at all.
At that moment, Ranma, Akane, Shampoo and Mousse had retreated to the Cat Café. Mousse got busy working while Shampoo sat with Ranma and Akane.
"Don't you think it was a little cruel to ditch Ryoga like that?" asked Mousse.
"Well, he should have just made a run for it like we did," said Ranma with a shrug.
"I still feel kind of bad," said Akane.
"Would you rather be listening to crazy girl rant," said Shampoo.
"Don't look now but here comes the other Kuno," said Mousse.
Ranma and Akane looked over to see that Tatewaki was indeed walking through the door of the Café.
Then in a sad but common twist of fate, Mousse tripped over a discarded pencil and dropped the tray of water he was carrying all over Ranma transforming him into a girl.
Then to everyone's shock, Tatewaki didn't instantly run to hold his beloveds. In fact he looked a little distracted. His face peaked Ranma's curiosity.
So instead of following his usual instinct to ignore or smash Tatewaki's face, Ranma asked, "Something wrong Kuno?"
"Pigtailed girl, fore once I cannot devote my attention to you or Akane Tendo. I have come seeking the advice of the witch who I'm told lives here," said Tatewaki.
Then out of nowhere, Cologne jumped up and hit Kuno over the head with her walking stick, "Who are you calling a witch?"
As Tatewaki rubbed his head he said, "The word on the street is that you have knowledge of ancient and rare items."
"I might, what kind of item are you curious about?" asked Cologne.
Tatewaki reached into his pocket and pulled out the jade sheep, "Can you tell me why my family would need to guard this. All I know is that it is one of two."
Suddenly the sheep turned from jade green to a deep crimson color.
"Looks like Cat Cafe is closing early again", said Shampoo.
Ryoga exited the bathroom to find everyone in the restaurant asleep.
"What's going on here?" he asked himself.
He eventually made his way over to Kodachi's table where he noticed that her drinking glass was knocked over. Then he looked on the floor to see both Akari and Kodachi. Upon closer inspection, neither of them appeared asleep. Their eyes were open but their pupils were solid purple. Ryoga looked around to see that everyone else's eyes in the restaurant were the same.
"Hey boss, we missed one," called a voice.
Ryoga looked over to see the cook with the katana walking towards him. Then the pink haired waitress appeared.
She smiled as she took off her wig and removed her glasses.
"Just great, I was hoping this would go easy," groaned Megumi. She turned to the cook, "Well, don't just stand there, get him."
"Clever disguise Megumi. It fooled even me," said Ryoga as he reached for his morpher. Luckily there was no one conscious in the restaurant to see him change.
"Sheng Xiao, Power UP!" Rygoa shouted before transforming into the blue ranger.
Megumi quickly turned to run, "Well, I'd love to stay and chat but I have to be going. Don't worry, I'll be leaving my friend Warmax here to keep you company."
The cook smiled as a black fog surrounded him. When it dispersed, the cook had been replaced by a demon samurai. He had armor covering him from head to toe. His helmet had two large golden horns stick out of it and his face if his true form had one was covered by and oni mask.
The demon Warmax drew his sword, "I'd run if I were you."
Ryoga summoned his umbrella, "Well you're not me are you."
The blue ranger and the demon samurai charged each other. Warmax slashed at Ryoga with his sword only for the blue ranger to dodge each one of his attacks. However, as Ryoga dodged, he stumbled over the leg of one of the restaurant patrons. As he staggered backwards, Warmax took advantage of the opening.
Warmax's katana began to glow as the demon's evil energy poured into it. Ryoga was unable to dodge the slash that followed. The attack sent Ryoga through one of the restaurant walls.
As Ryoga recovered, Warmax charged again, his sword glowing with energy. Once he got close enough, Ryoga opened his umbrella and used it as a shield to block Warmax's attacks.
"I need to get the others," said Ryoga as he deflected another one of Warmax's attacks.
Ryoga sent his umbrella spinning towards the demon who easily leaped over it. When Warmax landed, he quickly slashed Ryoga's umbrella away as it boomeranged back towards him.
Ryoga used the demons' distraction to run towards Akari and Kodachi. However, Warmax instantly appeared in front of him and slashed Ryoga several times with his sword.
As Ryoga fell to the ground, Warmax laughed, "If you had drank the water, you could have been spared this loss."
Ryoga then pressed his fingers to the ground, "Bakusai Tenketsu". Ryoga's breaking point caused the floorboards underneath him to explode. The boards shot towards the demon, disorienting him.
Ryoga used the opportunity and made another attempt at Akari and Kodachi. As soon as he reached them, he picked both of them up and teleported away as Warmax attempted to attack him once more.
Within minutes, the patrons of the Cat Café had been cleared out. Some of them complained about not getting to finish their meal but Cologne ignored them.
Tatewaki was about to inquire more about the sheep when suddenly, a crimson light started emitting from it.
Shortly after, Ryoga teleported into the café with Kodachi and Akari in his arms.
"I need help," said Ryoga as he powered down not noticing that Tatewaki was in the room.
Cologne pushed Tatewaki aside as Ryoga laid Akari and Kodachi down on one of the tables.
"What has happened?" she asked.
"They and at least twenty others drank some strange water and now they're like this," said Ryoga.
Tatewaki pushed his way through, "What is going on and what has happened to my sister?"
"Oh Kuno, we forgot you were here," said Ranma.
"We'll have to talk later," said Cologne as she gazed into Akari and Kodachi's eyes. "I'm afraid they drank a nightmare tonic. They are each trapped in in their own minds as theirs worst fears play before their eyes."
"Can you help them?" asked Mousse.
"I can. I just need to brew up something to counter the potion and wake them up," said Cologne. She continued, "The only problem is I need a large tub to brew it in."
"You could use the tub at my house," said Akane.
"No, I need something larger," said Cologne
Tatewaki spoke up, "You can use one of the many tubs at the Kuno estate. I'm certain that there is at least one that will suit your needs."
"Fine. Shampoo, grab my supplies. Mousse, grab those two and we'll start heading for the Kuno estate," Cologne ordered. A minute later they were gone.
"Why are you helping? I thought you and your sister didn't get along," said Ranma.
"Pigtailed girl, my sister and I may fight but we are family and it would go against everything I stood for as a warrior to let her suffer," said Tatewaki.
"If that's the case then where has you dad been lately?" asked Mousse.
"I could care less," said Tatewaki.
"That's surprisingly noble of you," said Akane.
However Tatewaki's moment was short lived as he immediately grabbed both Ranma and Akane, "Would you comfort me in my hour of need?"
Ranma and Akane responded by punching Tatewaki into the street.
Ryoga walked up to Ranma and Akane, "I forgot to mention, I fought a samurai and I wasn't able to beat it before a came here."
"When is there ever not a demon," said Ranma.
"Also, Megumi was there," said Ryoga.
"That explains the potion," said Akane.
"Alright, the three of us will make sure Megumi and the demon can't use that potion on anyone else. Hopefully it will by Cologne, Mousse, and Shampoo enough time to mix the antidote for the people already affected by it," said Ranma.
"What about him?" said Ryoga pointing to Tatewaki.
"I'll be coming with you. How could I allow my loves go to face a demon alone," said Tatewaki
Tatewaki went to embrace Ranma and Akane again only to be stopped by a kick from both of them.
"We don't have time for this," said Akane.
Suddenly, the sheep in Tatewaki's hand began to glow bright once more and transformed into a zodiac morpher wrapped around Tatewaki's wrist. "Fascinating," he said.
"Oh great," groaned Ranma.
"Now what do you want to do?" asked Ryoga.
Ranma rubbed her temples, "He's just going to have to come with us."
Ranma, Akane and Ryoga readied their morphers when Tatewaki asked, "You three have devices like this. Does this mean…we're all related?"
The question caused Ranma, Akane and Ryoga to fall over in exasperation.
"That's not it at all," yelled Ryoga as he pounded Tatewaki's head.
"Come on let's just go already," yelled Ranma.
Ryoga told Ranma and Akane where he had last seen the demon and the teleported away. Tatewaki's eyes went wide as they left. He saw the button they pressed and though hesitant, he pressed it.
Soon, he was engulfed in a crimson light and teleported across Nerima.
When the light died down, Tatewaki was standing next to Ranma, Akane and Ryoga.
"Is this what you were talking about," said Ranma as she looked into the vacant eyes of one of the restaurant patrons.
"Yes. Akari and Kodachi were the only ones I could grab before I left," said Ryoga.
"Why would someone want to do this?" asked Akane.
"It's all part of a larger plan," said Megumi as she appeared alongside Warmax.
"So, the mice have come out to play," laughed Warmax as he drew his sword.
Megumi stopped him, "Before you trash this place some more, I would like to have some parting words with them. The fear that emits from them in this state is a kind of negative energy that the dark warrior can use. As long as they're like this, we can siphon as much as we want."
Megumi then held out a sphere which the rangers could see the negative energy swirling around inside. She laughed, "It was nice chatting with you rangers but I have a delivery to make." She patted Warmax's chest, "You can destroy them now." With that, Megumi exited through a one of the magic mirror's portals.
As Megumi exited, bird warriors took her place.
"Let's ranger up," said Ryoga.
Ranma, Akane, and Ryoga pressed the button to morph while a visibly confused Tatewaki mimicked them.
"Sheng Xiao, Power UP!" they called.
Tatewaki looked down at his crimson Sheng Xiao uniform then over to the others.
"Pigtailed girl, you were the ruby warrior all along. I should have known. I could feel a connection between us all along," said Tatewaki as he prepared to embrace Ranma who promptly kicked him back.
"Knock it off," yelled Ranma.
"We don't have time for this," yelled Akane as the bird warriors attacked.
Akane summoned her hammer and as one of the warriors flew towards her, she knocked it out of the air.
Another warrior came running towards her with his sword drawn. Akane quickly dodged to right, avoiding the attack. She countered by delivering an axe kick to the warriors shoulder, knocking him to the floor.
As Ranma summoned her sword, she noticed Tatewaki looking at her.
"It will come when you call for it. And I suggest you do that soon," said Ranma.
Ranma then leapt into the fray, slashing away several bird warriors.
Tatewaki hesitated for a second, lost in his thoughts. Finally, he in his usual way announced, "Very well, I command the magic of the sheep to bestow my divine weapon on me so that I may vanquish my enemies."
As Ryoga swung his umbrella into a warrior, he shouted, "Hurry up and help us."
Suddenly, a crimson katana appeared in Tatewaki's hands.
No sooner had his weapon appeared that Warmax took the opportunity to strike. Out of reflex, Tatewaki raised his sword to block a strike from the demon.
Tatewaki smiled, "You'll learn demon that when it comes to the sword, I never lose."
Warmax quickly sidestepped one of Tatewaki's strikes and began to charge his sword with ki. Warmax then slashed Tatewaki's shoulder, sending the crimson ranger toppling to the floor.
"You're all talk. You're overconfident and your attacks lack in skill. You are nowhere near my level ranger," laughed Warmax.
"Ranma, Ryoga, Kuno needs help," said Akane as she defended from the attacks of two bird warriors. Unfortunately, the warriors had managed to toss Ranma into the restaurants kitchen
"I'm on it," said Ryoga as he leaped towards Warmax.
Once Ryoga was only a few feet away from the demon, Tatewaki held up his hand to stop him.
"I do not require assistance. This demon has insulted me and I must teach him a lesson," said Tatewaki.
Ryoga understood and hesitantly backed down. Instead, he turned around and launched his umbrella like a spear at one of the bird warriors attacking Akane.
Akane pointed out, "Heads up."
The warrior turned around, confused until the umbrella smashed into his face. When his ally fell, the other warrior was momentarily distracted allowing Akane to smack him away with her hammer.
Ryoga retrieved his umbrella and looked at the fallen warrior, "She tried to warn you."
Meanwhile, Warmax swung his ki charged sword, easily blocking and deflecting Tateawaki's attacks.
"Kuno's slowing down," commented Ryoga.
Tatewaki then made a very wide slash that left him open for Warmax to kick him away.
"He's just toying with him. We need to help him," said Akane.
Then suddenly, three bird warriors were tossed out of the kitchen. They were followed by Ranma who held in her hand a watermelon.
Akane took Ranma's que and smashed her hammer on the ground. The resulting tremor caused Warmax to trip. Ranma then tossed the melon towards Warmax.
Upon seeing the melon, Tatewaki's eyes went blank as he unleashed a whirlwind of powerful strikes against Warmax and the remaining bird warriors.
The attack knocked Warmax out of the building and sliced the melon into eight perfect slices.
Tatewaki looked at the other rangers.
Ranma walked up to him, "We do things as a team. You better get used to it."
"The antidote will be ready soon. Shampoo could you please get the bottles ready," said Cologne as she stirred the antidote inside a large bathtub. "Mousse, could you take that bottle with the red liquid and pour it in?"
"Yes mam. I have to ask you something though?" said Mousse as he poured the red liquid.
"What is it?"
"Why did we need this big tub? A few gallons would have been enough for a group of people."
"He's right," commented Shampoo as she hauled in several large gallon bottles.
Cologne laughed, "Oh, I bought the ingredients for this potion in bulk thinking it was a good deal. Long story short, they were about to expire so I need something big so I could use them up at once."
Then the contents of the tub exploded in a flash of green and red light.
"It's finished," said Cologne. "Mousse, you can begin filling the bottles. What we don't use, we can sell. Shampoo could you bring the girls over here?"
Shampoo hauled in both Akari and Kodachi and placed them in front of the tub. Cologne took a bowl and filled it with the potion. She poured half of it into Kodachi's mouth and the other half into Akari's.
Soon their eyes cleared up and they each sat up as if waking from a long rest.
"What happened?" asked Kodachi.
"You drank a bad potion," said Mousse.
"Where's Ryoga and the others?" asked Akari
"Out fighting demon," said Shampoo.
"And I think it's time you two joined them," said Cologne.
"Agreed," said Kodachi.
Cologne handed the rangers several bottles of the antidote. Then Akari ran up and took a few bottles, "I want to help you."
The rangers simply nodded as they saw a look of stubbornness and determination in Akari's eyes.
Seconds later, the three rangers had morphed and teleported away with Akari.
Megumi entered the throne room with the collected dark energy.
"I have a present for you," she said as she tossed the sphere to the dark warrior.
"It feels a little light," said Kage while the sphere's negative energy was absorbed by his sword.
"Don't blame me. We'd have had more if the rangers hadn't showed up," said Megumi.
"Too lazy to stay and fight witch," laughed Keima.
"No hag, I just didn't want to risk losing the negative energy I already collected," said Megumi.
With that, Megumi left the room.
"Hey boss, it looks like your latest demon is about to be destroyed," said Taro as he watched the fight through the magic mirror.
Kage sighed while plucking a feather from Saffron and sending it through the mirror.
The dark warrior leaned back in his throne, "I swear, nothing would get done at all around here without me."
As the demon recovered, the rangers took the time to regroup. At that point, the other three rangers and Akari had arrived.
"What did we miss?" asked Mousse as he surveyed the trashed restaurant.
"The usual," said Ranma.
"We brought the antidote," said Shampoo
"Akari what are you doing here?" asked Ryoga
"I came to help," said Akari as she set down the bottles of antidote.
"What do we do now?" interrupted Kodachi before Ryoga could voice any objections.
Recognizing her voice, Tatewaki spoke up, "I see you have made a full recovery my twisted sister."
Kodachi walked over to her brother, "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you cared brother dear."
Tatewaki simply looked away. Then he looked up to see a black feather floating towards the fully recovered Warmax.
"What is that," asked Tatewaki.
"A problem," said Shampoo as the demon grew.
"Akari, you give the antidote to the people here. Kuno, you and your sister help her," said Ranma.
Then Ranma and the other four rangers called, "We need Zodiac Zord power now!"
Moments later, they teleported into their respective zords and formed the Sheng Xiao Megazord.
"Do we have one of those?" asked Tatewaki.
"Yes, and the sooner we cure these people, the sooner we can help them," said Kodachi.
"I must say, I find it very strange to see you helping others and trying to get along with your rivals in love."
Kodachi shrugged, "They're my friends and they accept me for me. I guess you could say that it makes me want to be good person."
"Funny, I thought you two didn't get along," said Akari.
The siblings then turned away from each other and began to administer the antidote to the restaurant patrons.
"Akane, let's end this quickly," said Ranma.
"I'm on it," said Akane. "Activating final strike: Zodiac Kick."
As an energy ball formed by the megazord's feet, Warmax took a defensive stance.
"Let's play ball," said Mousse as the megazord kicked the ball towards the demon.
Without backing down, Warmax swung his sword and knocked the energy ball back toward the megazord. The megazord was unable to dodge its own attack and took the hit.
"Armor damaged. Need better plan," said Shampoo.
Ryoga then activated the pig's tusk chains. "Hopefully this will slow him down."
Warmax instantly slashed away the chains.
"Do it now", shouted Ryoga.
Then the megazord used the opening left by Warmax to charge forward and kicked the demon to the ground.
Warmax quickly recovered and slashed the megazord with his aura charged sword.
"He's not slowing down," said Akane.
"Great, that's the last of them," said Tatewaki as he administered the last of the antidote.
"I'll make sure they get to safety. You two go help the others," said Akari.
"Do as I do brother," said Kodachi as she raised her morpher to the sky.
Tatewaki did the same and they both shouted, "We need zodiac zord power now."
As the snake zord slithered into the battle, it was followed slowly by the crimson sheep.
The body and head of the zord looked like that of a normal sheep except that it had a large silver jewel on its back. Unlike the other zords that had legs, the sheep zord moved on two large tracks like a bulldozer.
"Now we must charge into battle my mighty zord," shouted Tatewaki. However, the sheep zord moved forward slowly as though it didn't acknowledge him.
"What is wrong with you," shouted Tatewaki as he tried to type in commands for the zord.
"If your zord won't listen to you then stay out the way," said Kodachi has the snake zord fired a barrage of energy blast from.
As Warmax defend himself from the blast, the megazord took the opportunity to charge again.
Warmax then charged his sword and a blast of red lightning fired from his sword. The lightning blasted away the snake zord and toppled the megazord.
Suddenly, the sheep zord's terminal began to glow.
"What are you trying to tell me?" said Tatewaki.
As the megazord got up, Warmax charged his sword once more. Suddenly, the sheep zord moved forward and the jewel on its back began to glow.
Then it was as if a second language was imprinted into Tatewaki's head. He then immediately began to type a series of keys into his terminal.
"What's he doing," said Ranma.
"Don't worry about him. The demon is attacking again," said Ryoga.
As Warmax was about to attack the megazord with its aura charged sword, the sheep's' jewel flashed bright. Then the aura left Warmax's sword and flowed into the sheep zord's jewel. Warmax looked back at the sheep.
"You dare to steal my power. Who do you think you are?" he yelled.
Tatewaki smiled, "I am Tatewaki Kuno. Captain of the kendo club. My peers call me the crimson thunder of furinkan high."
"He's the crimson thunder now," groaned Akane.
"What you expect," said Shampoo.
Warmax turned his attention to the sheep and slashed wildly with his sword. However, none of his strikes damaged the sheep's armor.
"Good job sheep. Now we attack," shouted Tatewaki. But the sheep didn't move at all. It just stood its ground, letting Warmax strike its thick armor.
Luckily, the snake zord had recovered. It quickly slithered up to Warmax, jumped up and bit the demon's shoulder.
"Stand down brother. I can handle this fiend," said Kodachi.
Then Warmax grabbed the snake zord and flung it away from him.
"You will pay for that," said the demon. He then fired another blast of lightning towards the snake. Kodachi braced herself for an impact that never came. She looked up to see the sheep zord in front of her, absorbing the lighting.
Warmax then let out a frustrated yell and swung his sword as hard as he could at the sheep. Much to Tatewaki's satisfaction, the blade broke.
"It seems I have destroyed your weapon," gloated Tatewaki.
"Just in time too," said Mousse.
"Megazord fully recovered. Activating power sword," said Shampoo to Ranma.
"Let's end this," said Ranma.
Once the power sword materialized, the rangers activated the Cross Slash final strike. The megazord gripped the power sword and slashed an "X" made of energy in the air, which flew towards Warmax. Warmax was only able to blink once before the X passed through him, destroying him.
"Victory is ours," cheered Tatewaki.
Ryoga quickly interrupted his celebration, "We need to go check on Akari."
"What's our next move," asked Saffron.
"Very simple, divide and conquer," said Kage.
Then Kage laughed.
The rangers had powered down and Ryoga instantly sought out Akari.
"How's everyone doing?" asked Ryoga.
Akari smiled, "Everyone seems to be recovering fine."
"Why did you feel the need to come out and put yourself in danger?"
"I saw an opportunity to help. You're not mad are you?"
Ryoga sighed, "No, I just don't want to see you get hurt."
"But's it's fine for Akane and Shampoo. Look, I can take care of myself," said Akari.
"That doesn't mean I can't still worry about you."
"Well, if you worry so much then maybe it will make you feel better if you walked me home."
Defeated, Ryoga smiled. Then he took Akari's hand and led the way.
The other rangers stood out of their way and went back to checking on the civilians.
"And you give your word that I can expect no cheating from her," said the gym teacher.
Before him, Tatewaki and Kodachi bowed. The other five rangers stood behind them for support.
"Please let her onto the team," said Mousse.
"It means the world to her," said Akane.
The teacher finally relented, "Fine. But I'm watching you Ms. Kuno."
Kodachi soon began jumping for joy while the other rangers sighed in relief.
As the Kuno siblings returned home, Tatewaki spoke up. He made sure to keep is face forward the whole time while his sister did the same, "I'm sorry for what I said this morning."
"I would also like to apologize," said Kodachi.
Then Tatewaki quickly changed the subject, "I'm thinking about doing some renovating to the basement of our estate."
Meanwhile on a secluded Hawaiian island, principal Kuno lazily relaxed under a tree playing a ukulele.
He suddenly stopped, "Me feel as though me be forgetting something."
Then a coconut fell from the tree and onto his head, knocking him unconscious.
(Authors notes)
To clear up why I'm calling him Tatewaki instead of Kuno, it is less confusing for me to refer to Kuno by his first name. Especially when he shares scenes with his sister. For me it's kind of weird to call one Kuno by their last name and the other by their first.
Warmax was borrowed from PR: Mystic Force.
Tatewaki and Hunter both being Crimson thunder rangers is a happy coincidence and was unintentional. Of course in Tatewaki's case, the thunder is all in his head.
I'm also going to change up the megazord final attack system I've set up. My original plan was to have each ranger have their own Final Attack. I have now decided that that is a little excessive so instead, each megazord will have one final attack and the other attacks that I have currently set up will simply be a function of the megazord. The final attacks I have set up are:
Zodiac Megazord—Cross Slash
Special attacks-Zodiac Kick, Feather Assault, Zodiac Fist, ?
Wushu Megazord-Yin Yang Cannon
Special attack-Wushu Fire Spinner
? Megazord-?
Special attacks-?,?,?,?
(Thunder Cannon is in one of the ?)
I hope to have the next chapter up sooner. Of course I make no promises.
