Chapter two: the blue haired boy
Hinamori looked around the room as she let her bag slip from her fingers and drop to the floor. It was okay for a room, both of the beds were placed separately and they both had their own study tables just beside it and they also had separate closets. Amu liked this part especially since she really didn't want to be close to anyone aside from the guardians who could relate to her situation.
Recalling the guardians brought back memories from the opening ceremony earlier this morning. Rima was late and had to sit at the back but she saw her shocked expression when Kukai called Tadase to the stage to formally announce the new Vice of the Student Council. As usual the girls from the other years were taken aback at Tadase's looks.
Hinamori sighed as she let herself collapse on the bed she was still worried about the little dream she had last night. It seemed very vivid and real compared to her other dreams this summer. All of them featured this certain blue haired boy. She quickly pushed these thoughts to the back of her head. The last thing she needed was this dream boy who didn't exist.
A light knock was heard beyond the door which made Hinamori jump. If this was her room mate then all Hinamori could hope for was a quiet timid girl who knew nothing about her past in Seiyo academy. The last thing she wanted was a girl who watched her twenty four seven and calling her 'cool and spicy' every two seconds.
Hinamori rushed to the door and opened it slightly just enough for the person beyond the door to see her full body. A familiar voice greeted her, "Yo!"
"Kukai!" Hinamori gushed as a wide smile formed on her face
"Long time no see" Kukai greeted as he smirked
Hinamori almost cried seeing that smirk she didn't notice how much she missed Kukai until now, "So what do you need?" Hinamori tried to ask casually but her voice failed her.
Kukai smiled noticing the change in Amu's voice, "We need to talk about THAT"
Hinamori's face grew grave understanding completely, "I understand, where and when do we meet?"
"Tomorrow, 6:00 am, there's a place where the student council meets, just beyond the gardens" Kukai said, "You won't miss it"
Hinamori nodded as she closed the door behind her, she then flopped on the bed once more. She wondered whether the student council members were vampires as well. It wouldn't be strange though, the student council was almost an exact replica of the Seiyo's Guardians.
She heard another knock on the door, this time it was hard and demanding the type of sound that would make you stand up immediately and quiver in fear. Hinamori opened the door and said a short prayer that, that wasn't her room mate. A tall slender woman stood in front of her a wide smile pasted on her face. She spoke with a high shrill voice, "I'm you're dorm head, Fujikage Kanami, 4th year"
"Fujikage Senpai" Amu nodded
"Alright first things first, you're room mate Ishimura-san had a last minute cancelation in her enrollment so she won't be attending classes for the entire year" Kanami said "And second…"
Kanami looked at Amu as though she was examining her and nodded almost to herself. Amu raised an eyebrow and Kanami laughed to herself, "Gomen, I just heard some rumors about you, Hinamori Amu, the hot and spicy girl from Seiyo elementary"
Amu sweat dropped at that statement, and Kanami smiled, "I just wanted to give you a warning, I'm quite strict with implementing the dorm rules and I expect everyone to follow them"
Amu nodded once and Kanami continued, "But then if you have any problems feel free to talk to me, I stay in dorm room #1"
Amu nodded again as she waved Kanami goodbye. When she closed the door she had to control herself from jumping up and down. She had the room to herself no worries with keeping her secret hidden and no more having to try to lie. Did she mention that she was horrible at lying? The last time she tried to lie her parents ended up grounding her for fear that she was going to some bar or dating some bad guy.

The loud ring of the bell startled Amu; she was just watching TV flipping the channels when the bell rang for dinner. She didn't exactly have the appetite to eat yet so she settled for roaming around the dormitories. The moon reflected perfectly on the walls of the dormitories which gave Amu a nice relaxing feeling. The girl's dormitories and the guy's dormitories were separated by a garden filled with all kinds of flowers. Extending to the back part of the garden was a soccer field.
Amu sat on the wet grass as she stared up at the full moon almost mesmerized by it. After a few minutes she heard a light clink the type of sound that you heard when two metal objects had contact. But as paranoid as Amu was she froze in place several thoughts running through her head at the same time.
She recalled the tales that she heard from Kukai way back when he would visit the guardians at special occasions. She recalled him saying something about a girl in white clothes roaming around the dormitories looking for her dead boyfriend. Amu's face became white as she imagined the girl right beside her. Suddenly she didn't want to turn her head anymore.
Another clink caught her attention this time she tried to pull herself together, "What am I doing? I'm a vampire, I can kill ghosts…right?" Amu whispered to herself as she gulped and turned around.
There on top of the boy's dormitory building stood a boy his hand in his pockets his hair colored blue and his skin was fair almost reflecting the light of the moon. Amu had to blink twice making sure that she wasn't looking at a mere vision. Then the smell struck her, that oozing spicy smell that made her throat burn. Her eyes started to turn from gold to bright red as she started to feel her hands fall to the ground coiling the mud around her fingers.
Suddenly the familiar dream hit her remembering his touch the way he held her, it felt right. The way he looked at her with caring yet worried eyes. The way he tried to smile. The burning sensation disappeared from her throat as a clump replaced it. She then came to the realization, she was about to attack a human for his blood. She ran as fast as she could, adrenaline pumping through her veins as she ran and ran and ran. She didn't know where she was going she merely ran until her feet couldn't run any more.
She ended up falling on her knees. She let her whole body fall with it as she reached for something to hold, but there was nothing there was no one. It was absolute silence, slowly tears streamed from her eyes. She didn't know what she was more upset about, the fact that she almost tried to kill a human something she had sworn to protect or that the boy that she dreamed of actually existed.

A knock was heard clearly on the door, Amu heard footsteps as the door creaked open revealing Rima in her night gown. She noticed that Rima grew taller since the last time she saw her, but she still didn't surpass Amu's height. She then looked at her eyes and face as it grew with worry and concern. Without a word Rima stepped aside as Amu barged in ready to explode, "Rima, did you see anything?"
Rima crossed her tiny arms as she sat down on one of the beds, "What do you mean?"
"I just had a, premonition, or at least I think it was one…" Amu started as she stood up and paced around the room her unruly hair moving from side to side.
This caught Rima's attention and she stood up immediately, "Explain."
"I've been having this dream for quite some time around the summer, a blue haired boy, my thirst growing out of control and as the summer ended the dreams seemed more vivid"
"And?"
"Well I just saw him, a few minutes ago…" Amu began but Rima cut her off
"Were you able to control yourself?"
Amu sighed and nodded, "Yes, barely"
Rima frowned and now she was the one who started to pace, "Strange, usually when I have the premonitions they aren't as clear and put out…usually I still have to think where the premonition may want to lead me to"
"But then why is it happening to me?" Amu asked pressing on
"The only thing I can think of is someone else tampering with your mind"
"But is it possible that there is someone else who also have the gift of premonition like you do?"
"Possible," Rima said, "I mean, there has to be thousands of vam-"
From outside they heard a loud noise, as though someone was shooting machine guns at the ground. Without hesitation Amu and Rima opened the window and looked outside. At the far end of the soccer field they found a boy about a year older then Amu. He had dark red eyes and black circles bellow them, a growl escaped his lips as he stood up facing Amu and Rima.
