Chapter Six: Dreams and Realities

Amu's POV

I opened my eyes at the sound of the door creaking open and close, I struggled to get up but my arms and legs failed me. I hadn't felt so drained before, so helpless. I looked to my side as my vision cleared, I saw two people, one I recognized was our dorm head, she had her hair tied up to a neat pony and her face was creased with worry as she watched me try to get up, "Don't worry Hinamori-san, the nurse is here to check up on you"

Check up on me!?

Wait, what on earth happened last night!?

I searched my mind, first we went through the wall, that's one. I could freak out about that later. Next is I felt dizzy and…blank. I blacked out.

Oh crap crap crap crap crap, I blacked out, when ikuto was still in my room!

The nurse's voice interrupted my panicking, "How are you feeling dear?"

"I feel fine" I managed to say as I stood up but my knees buckled and so I ended up falling back on the bed.

"Well you don't have a fever, but Ikuto-san was right, you should stay in bed" The nurse said as she started tapping her pen on the clipboard that she held, "I'll check up on you every hour just to see if your feeling better, but for now you should rest"

Ikuto,

Ikuto,

Ikuto,

I could still go on saying his name like it was a voodoo curse of some sort but right now I was still imagining my hands digging into his flesh and ripping him apart, not just his neck, but every single bone that was in his body.

I felt blood rise to my head as I got back in bed and pulled the sheets over my head, I didn't have a choice but if I had to stay in bed for the rest of the day then I might as well get some sleep.

I heard both of them leave the room and sighed, I shut my eyes trying to sleep but just when I needed to sleep, my body wouldn't respond. I sighed and pulled back the sheets and there in front of me was Ikuto.

I could have screamed, but I felt my voice caught up in my throat. I saw him grin as he looked at my face and so I did the only thing that a normal girl like me would do if she saw a guy in her room. Throw the nearest object at him, which was a pillow.

I threw it right at his face and when it fell it was as though nothing happened, his expression did not change, his hair was still as perfect as usual and of course he still had a grin on, "That's the thanks that I get for saving your life?"

"Bringing me up to my room is barely what I call saving my life"

"I wasn't talking about that," He said as he sat on my bed just beside me and moved forward so that his face was just inches away from mine, "I covered up for you, and so your trouble free"

I blushed and backed away until I felt my back hit the wall, "What are you talking about?" I uttered

"I told them you were sick" He said shrugging, he then backed away feeling contented with my reaction, "Well you are sick, in a way"

I raised my eyebrows, so what if I had a little problem standing up? That didn't mean that I had to be sent straight to the emergency room, did vampires get sick anyway?

I blew out a breath and tried to ease the tension in my head, at least one problem was solved now I only had a billion more. I shoved the sheets to the side as I stood up, this time I managed to stand firmly as I looked at him, this might be the only chance I got to ask.

"How did we go past that wall in one piece?"

He kept silent and only smiled. He really was just making this hard for me.

"You're a vampire. Right?" I asked, accusation evident in my voice

"I'll leave that decision to you" He then smirked

Crap, why did he have to be so, irresistible?

And then I remembered. I inhaled then exhaled slowly and yes, there was still that familiar watery scent that filled the room. His scent. He was a vampire, I knew it but then, why? Why did I long for his blood so much?

A knock was heard on the door and it immediately opened, there stood Rima wearing a white shirt and black tight shorts. Her eyes were trained on me as she entered the room. I tried to smile as she stared, "What happened to you?"

"Oh, um…I had a hard time, yesterday. I kind of felt tired so I…"

"Amu-chan you should know better then lie to me" Rima said as she crossed her arms and she had that triumphant smile across her face, "I saw you and another-"

I heard footsteps from behind and felt a hand rest on my shoulder as I looked up I saw Ikuto, his eyes met Rima's, "Pleasure to meet you"

"You just went right through that wall didn't you?" Rima asked coolly

"Yes"

"Then you're a vampire?"

"Yes"

Okay he doesn't answer my questions and he easily answers a stranger's question as though it was nothing?

"I see" Rima replied as she looked at me, it was a glare or was it a stare…a warning? I really couldn't tell, but she nodded once and exited the room without a single word.

I felt my shoulders relax and I heard him choke up a laugh

"What?" I asked

"Nothing,"

I raised my eyebrow and sighed, I pointed my finger towards the door, "Out, now"

"You sure you want me to go out through there?" He asked amused

I quickly made a double back and started to push him towards the wall, "Do whatever you want just get out!"

I pushed him straight past it and I felt the air crush out from my lungs. I felt a powerful hand yank me back and after a few seconds I felt myself in the comfort of my own room. I felt the ground slam on my back and so I ended up looking at the ceiling and seeing his face watching mine. His eyebrows were knitted together as I sat up, I barely felt the pain which was now crawling from my spine to my neck.

I looked at him accusingly, "W-what the-" I said struggling trying to catch my breath

"He went past me and sat on the couch, his face had amused written all over it, "You were the one who did that not me"

My eyebrows shot up as I looked at him, okay fine glared at him. I pushed myself up and felt my knees buckle again. I couldn't be this shaken up nor tired, what was happening?

And just at the right cue a knock was heard on the door, I scrambled to my feet and reached for the door knob, I then looked towards Ikuto's direction he wasn't there anymore. Good.

I opened the door and tried to smile,

"Hinamori-san" Tadase said

I felt a heavy feeling inside of me, every since the dream-vision I had everything from it started to come true. Ikuto was a vampire and so was Hoshina-san, did this mean…?

"May I come in?" Tadase asked and I quickly came back to my senses, and I only managed to nod and step aside for him to pass.

He sat down on the empty bed across from mine and he smiled at me his eyes showed nothing more then compassion. But somehow I wasn't convinced, it was a strange feeling considering that I somehow had a crush on him when I was younger.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked

"No, I was just worried, when you didn't show up" He said as his eyes stared straight through mine.

Another knock was heard this time the door opened by itself, in came Rima this time she was wearing her uniform and she looked at me.

Everything went black.

(Vision)

First I heard the 'tap tap' on the brick ground and then the high pitched screams. I heard several men, their loud cries as their footsteps came louder and faster. I then opened my eyes as though I was a new born. I winced at several bright lights surrounding me, my vision then cleared and I saw the bright lights as torches.

I scoffed a laugh at the sight of the scenery, it really looked like the middle ages where they had sharp pitch forks. Not a good idea.

One of them shouted, his voice high and commanding, "Just hold her off men! Until the slayers arrive!"

Several men cried a loud 'yes sir' in response to the command

All of them started running towards me their pitch forks were pointed until I was surrounded by them, the sharp edges mocking me, I looked around, as though beyond the villagers and saw several red eyes. All of them were watching me, anticipating my every movement.

I jumped up, higher then I expected and I heard several gasps from down bellow. I heard a 'whooshing' sound and I immediately knew what it was. I turned and felt the pitch forks crunch to my stomach then go right through. I ended up back on the ground uninjured.

"Move" I heard myself utter and the vampires which were hiding were now crouched down growls escaping their lips as they attacked the villagers with no mercy. From that point on I didn't control my body anymore.

I felt my feet move and then stop just in front of a person wearing a black hood over his head and a black coat. His eyes glowed red as his hood fell to his back revealing white flawless skin and blond hair, "Amu-nee what now?"

I felt myself glare and he flinched and looked away, "The slayers are coming" I said through my teeth, "If they dare step foot in our territory they're dead"

I turned and started to walk ahead I felt several vampires step in pace behind me, Tadase was one of them, "But Amu-nee, we won't be able to withstand the attack from the slayers"

"They will outnumber us and some have already been severely injured" One of them added, a woman's voice.

"Then let them rot" I growled and turned to the next corner where more cottages greeted me.

"But…Amu-nee…"

In an instant I was in front of Tadase and I gripped his hand tightly I heard him wince from the pain as I forced my thoughts into him. Into his mind. I felt my grip loosen as I turned and started walking again. I saw Tadase stand still his whole body shaking as he avoided my gaze.

"Now move" This time my voice was deep and harsh, it wasn't my voice. It was a stranger's. I felt them shake behind me and they quickly ran to opposite directions obeying my orders.

(End of Vision)

I blinked several times before seeing that face in front of me. Rima was staring at me and I heard a voice in the background. It was Tadase's voice, "Hinamori-san! Mashiro-san!"

I blinked and then my eyes focused on Tadase, he was standing now his eyes were filled with fear as he looked from me to Rima unsure of what to do. I felt my feet on the ground and saw that I was standing. I faced Rima as she blinked as well, "Y-you saw that?" Rima uttered

I nodded as I moved towards Tadase, I saw him sigh as I took his hand. His face was red as I looked at him and then I squeezed his hand letting my memories flow into his, about everything I saw, everything we saw. I didn't know how I was doing it, but I still did. It was as though it was a natural thing to do.

My grasp then loosened as I watched Tadase, waiting for his reaction, "H-how?"

"You knew" I said my voice clear with anger, "You knew everything"

I dropped his hand and I backed away, I heard Rima fall into step with me, she was now between me and Tadase, but this time she was just facing me as though I was the one who had done something wrong.

"Amu-chan, wait" Rima said "We don't know, I don't know what just happened, but I saw it and you did too, you just need to calm down and I'm sure Tadase will explain everything"

I felt my hands clench at my sides and I turned towards Tadase, he was still staring straight ahead, "Rima step aside" I said my voice low and commanding, to my surprise she stepped aside but I could tell she was struggling from my order.

"Tadase-kun, tell me the truth," I said I tried to calm down trying to make my voice commanding, "What is going on here?" I said this time the low voice was gone and Rima collapsed to the floor, she was breathing heavily.

I looked at her in the corner of my eye and saw her look weary and tired, I turned and in a second I was on the floor. I felt my throat dry and I tried to swallow but couldn't. It was me, I did that to her. She stood up as if in cue and nodded it off, "I'm fine." She managed to say

"Please Rima, leave" I said my voice faltering, she turned towards the door at once and I shot her a pleading look. She nodded and left.

When I turned I saw Tadase back to his senses, "You're right" He said and then sighed

"Why didn't you tell me then?" I asked, "I'm your sister, and then that-"

I felt myself utter a gasp as I sank to the floor, everything was a lie, he was admitting it to me right there and then. My parents, everything they told me was wrong, those visions, they weren't mine, they were Rima's I was able to somehow see everything. Those nightmares weren't just mere dreams, they were visions as well. And they all occurred when anyone from the past came to me. Tadase, Ikuto, Hoshina-san, all of them were somehow connected to me.

I looked at Tadase one last time before heading for the door. I didn't bother opening it since I knew that I was going to go through it anyways, like a ghost, just like Ikuto.

I kept on running, I ran as fast as I could and felt my surroundings blur around me. My feet slammed to the ground like a machine gun and kept on going. I didn't care if I was just wearing sweat pants and a jacket. I didn't care if anyone saw me, I just wanted out of here. Now.

I went to the back of the dormitory where the soccer field was, I saw them practicing, classes were probably done, I ran past the field further to the back. To the woods. I heard someone call my name, it was Kukai. I didn't mind him anymore, I shut out everyone else and merely listened to the beat of my heart. Beating so fast and the intervals of my breathing. I felt a new rush of adrenaline as I kept on moving forward. Away from everyone else.

I soon reached the gate, the guard was asleep and I was too fast to be seen my human eyes, I went past the gate just like I did with my dorm room door. I ran, fast. I went through the silent streets and ended up in the small town. I heard several cars go by, the wheels loud on the concrete street.

I looked around and everything started to blur, I turned around and looked, finding the source. I then heard tires squeal beside me. I turned towards the street and saw a black long stretched limousine, I glared and saw a short brown haired woman in business attire step out of the car. Inside I saw a familiar face, the girl that I saw a few days ago the one with the red long hair and dark brown skin, her eyes were trained to me as the woman on the business attire spoke, "Come with us, Hinamori Amu"

My sight blurred and everything started to turn black my eyelids grew heavy and finally I gave in to exhaustion.
