Nothing More Than...

Dean crashed through the forest, cursing Sam's suggestion that they split up. Sammy was in trouble, he could feel it. He burst through a small clearing, immediately assessing the situation.

Sam was backed against a rockface, the world's largest black dog standing on its hind legs, growling, opened jaws reaching for his neck. A clean shot was impossible.

Dean body-slammed the fugly, knocking them both groundward. He sprang up, as the creature leaped on him, red-hot pain ripping through Dean's stomach.

Bang!

The black dog dropped dead, Sam instantly at his side. "Dean! Stay with me!"

"Alw'ys." Dean slumped, unconscious.
