Sharpay stood in shock for a moment, before the events that just happened came back to her.
After her secession in the woods, Sharpay felt the need to kill. Not any of the woodland creatures around her, but to kill one of her fellow tributes. Most tributes from District 2 experience this, and half have died from it. Blinded by their hate common sense is taken from them. When she heard a rustle behind her and hush voices she immediately went in that direction. Through the branches she saw Troy and the pipsqueak from District 9. She smiled evilly before slowly coming out of her hiding spot. When she lunged forward at Chyna (going for the easy prey,) Troy sent her in the other direction. Damn it! She thought, I should have known Troy would hear me; he was the best in our section! She became enraged, with knives they started to fight with Chyna safely out of the way. Troy didn't try to hurt Sharpay though, and he thought back to the plans of the rebellion. While he was Sharpay took advantage, she stabbed the knife through his chest. His eyes widened as he fell to the ground, losing consciousness as he fell to the ground. He said one last thing before he died, but she didn't catch it.

She realized what she had done. I killed Troy, my friend, my crush, the father of the cutest little boy in the world. She sat down by Troy's lifeless body, still processing what she had done. She wasn't aware of Chyna right behind her, who grabbed her neck and threw her down. She sat on her chest and held a knife against her throat. Sharpay hadn't been this scared since Chad looked as if he was going to kill her. But this was worse. "You killed my friend. HE was supposed to live. Now you must die as well." Sharpay started to protest, but before she could the knife found its way to her neck.

Chyna stood moments later near the now lifeless bodies. She couldn't look at Troy's, he was a reminder of how many great people were lost in the Games. She couldn't look at Sharpay's, she just killed her! As the canons went off, she ran back to her base where the others would be expecting a story.

The boys looked at each other startled. Two canons went off, two people from their alliance went off on their own. "What do we do?" Ferb asked, so quietly the cameras didn't catch it. "Well, we wait. No sense of going out to see if they are alright. Probably got into trouble with another tribute, so either they both are dead or one is." Cody says, not looking up from sharpening his knife. "But there are only nine people left, three of us sitting here. I don't recall ever seeing the tributes from 13 and the male from 7 seems far too smart to go after them, probably saving his strength for the Final Battle. So it's most likely that they ran into the girl from 2, she's probably dead. So my bet is that Troy is alive and coming back here, no offense to Chyna but she is only twelve."

"You bet wrong." The three boys looked over at the cave entrance, seeing the bloody young girl with eyes as sharp as the knife Cody had in his hands. "She killed Troy while he was distracted, when she hesitated I took the advantage and slit her throat. Such a tragedy too, I really liked Troy. My bets were placed that he was going to win." She took a seat next to Mason and played with her nails like nothing had happened. It took a while for the older tributes to understand, but even when they did the silence remained.

"So what do we do? Out of the eight of us only four remain, and most tributes are probably at the Cornucopia." Cody and Mason exchange a look before Mason answers Chyna's question, "Well, I guess we end this."

When the two canons had gone off Chad knew one of them had to be Sharpay's. Not just because she was stupid enough to head to the Cornucopia with nine people left, but because without him she had nothing. She also had to have run into the All-Stars because he was on the tail of the two tributes from District 13. He didn't want to kill them yet, he knew that the girl had talked to the male from 2 and possibly knew where they were hiding. If he would kill both of them he didn't know, one of them might be useful. The boy is wounded and the girl just seems… annoying. Another Sharpay if you asked him (and that's definitely not what he wanted). Chad smirked to himself, this will be fun.

He came up behind the girl (Gigi? Riri? He didn't know her name.) and in one swift motion grabbed her neck and held the knife to her throat. She let out this strangled noise and called for her partner (Runter?) He looked back alarmed and immediately turned around. Chad could barely hear Gigi's cries for help, all he could hear was the screaming of his sisters back home. Screaming at him to kill her so he would be one step closer to coming home to them. "Let her go." The boy said, in the weirdest accent that Chad had ever heard. Was it a District 13 thing? Chad didn't hesitate to smirk, "And what makes you think that I will? I have a family to get back to, a life, a home, I'm eight kills away from achieving that. What makes you think that you can stop me?"

It felt like years before Gunther spoke up again, his voice soft, "Please, just… don't kill her." Little did he know that Cece was already dying, the arm around her neck was suffocating her slowly and painfully. As the boys continued to stare at each other a canon went off, and it took them a minute to realize who it was.

"NO!" Gunther cried. He wanted to protect Cece, so she could get home to her brother and friends. He didn't want this to happen. She was supposed to survive. Chad looked as shocked as he did, no words came out of his mouth no matter how many times he tried to form them. "It's done. It's time to head to the Cornucopia. Who knows, maybe you can help me finish off the All-Stars."

And with a final kiss on the forehead to Cece, Gunther got up and joined Chad on his walk to the Final Battle.

Night had fallen, and the remaining tributes stared at each other for the longest time.

Chad and Gunther were staring right at Mason, Cody, Chyna and Ferb. Weapons ready, both sides waiting on the first move to be made. "It doesn't have to be like this! Join us, we can all fight this!" Mason called out to them. Ferb was counting down, he knew in less than five minutes their escape would be made, with or without the two boys in front of them.

Chad's laugh could be heard all around the Arena, echoing into the night. "You aren't serious. One of us will survive, the other will die. There is no way to fight this, its history! My mentor did it, your mentor did it, hell even my sister did it! One survives, unless you're a Mellark then the rules are bent for you. It's how it goes, and I'm going to be the survivor. Not you!" With that Chad lunged at Mason, the boys threw punches left and right. Gunther trying to avoid the mess, worried that someone will fall into the water that surrounded them. He didn't want to fight, not after what he witnessed tonight.

Ferb signaled Chyna, holding up one finger on his left hand and two on his right. Three minutes. She nodded and took the knife out of her back pocket, throwing it at Chad. She missed, and it almost hit Gunther. He was shocked, but his shock turned into rage as he threw himself at the young girl. Cody blocked many of the punches from Gunther, and the fight continued with them. Ferb held up one finger on his left hand and one on his right, two minutes.

Chyna didn't know what to do! This was against their original plan, Ferb was doing his part by setting up the bombs, but Cody and Mason were supposed to be 'tending a wound she had.' She was lost!

One minute...

ONE MINUTE!

Chyna yelled their code word, 'bluejay,' and the three boys looked up alarmed. While Cody was distracted, Gunther stabbed his shoulder. No! This was against the plan, Cody has to toughen it out! The older boys pushed Chad and Gunther into the water while Ferb used the extra matches to light the bombs. In five seconds they were to go off.

Boom

The arena exploded, around the island the land shook while the domino effect took place. The helicopter with the Mockingjay indicated that it was the right helicopter. Chyna pushed Cody to go up the ladder first (he was injured) and Ferb went next since he couldn't swim very well. Chad was greedy and went up the ladder next, followed by Gunther. Chyna was on the ladder when she was pulled off, she tried screaming but it was too late. The world started to go dark and the last thing she remembered was blood… so much blood…

Cody woke up with a throbbing headache. The first thing he realized was that he was in a bed, not a sleeping bag. His shoulder was wrapped in gauze and an IV was hooked up to his arm. Where am I?

"Hey." Cody jumped, thinking he was the only one in the room. He thought his eyes deceived him when he saw him, he watched him die. Was this a sick joke? Or was he dead? But Cody Martin was staring right at Ethan Morgan, his fellow tribute from the 78th Annual Hunger Games. He opened his mouth to say something before Ethan cut him off, "No, you need to drink some water and wait a while. I'll tell you about where you are." Cody nodded and sipped his water, the cool, clean liquid making him feel instantly better.

Ethan explained to him about being a vampire, about Sarah being a vampire and about District 14 ('the rebel's base, as it was most often called.) Then he explained that almost everyone was alive and well here in the hospital, and how his loved ones were safely escorted here. Cody cut him off before he could say anything more, "Wait, you said almost everyone. Who didn't make it?" Ethan noticeably became tense, shifting in his seat and looking towards the door a lot. "Well, two people were taken by the Capitol, two people we know very well. Cody's stomach turned, this wasn't the news he wanted to hear… "Who? And are they still alive?" Ethan looked towards the ground, like the marble tiles were the most interesting thing in the world. "Well, we assume they are alive, but it isn't certain. If they are it's probably not pretty." It took a while to convince Ethan to tell him who were missing, Ethan insisting he would tell him when he felt better. Cody would have none of it though, he needed to know now.

"You're not going to like it." Ethan finally said. That part Cody knew, but he let Ethan continue. "It's Mason and Chyna. They were taken hostage by President Snow and the Capitol. The President made sure we knew this morning, even going as far as showing us them." Cody felt like he was going to throw up- actually he did twice. It was a hollow victory, living when your friends are dying isn't the best feeling in the world. But that's why they rebelled, they would bust them out and win the war. Cody was confident in that.

After all, Al infierno con el Capitolio, no?
