Usually I'm not writing in English but well... Somehow I felt like translating this from my mother language to English. Sorry for all mistakes, I've tried to eliminate them but well... :(
Hope someone will like this short story. :)
Sleep
"Sleep" he heard quiet voice right beside himself and put a lot of effort to not sigh loudly. Because it was him, who should sleep? Him, who has spent whole afternoon in lazy way, reading some books and even taken a nap? Him, who has not sit with some documents full of strange words and symbols up to so late, that he fall asleep with his head just beside a keyboard. Him, who hasn't needed to be guided to the bed because he was half asleep and half blind. Him… He sit up and looked at Eduard… and Eduard looked at him, and it was whole wrong.
"It is you, who have to sleep, sweetheart" he whispered and covered Eduard's eyes with his hand. "Do not pretend to sleep, but sleep. Sleep and do not leave me here all alone. Do not try to get up really quiet and do not think it will not wake me up. It will. So please, do not leave me.
He lay down slowly and then removed his hand from Eduard's eyes. He was glad to see them closed, but now Eduard's breath was much irregular then before. Raivis did not like it.
"Come to me" he whispered again and stroked his cheek. "Come…" He moved his fingertips along Eduard's larynx.
Sometime in the past Raivis has not believed that someone as big as Eduard could actually really nestle in someone as small as him, but it was a long time ago. Eduard rolled over, his arm embraced Raivis possessively but after second moved a bit. His fingers closed on Raivis's shoulder and whole arm lay on Raivis chest – it was so familiar load. His head was on Raivis's second shoulder and his nose found for itself a nice, warm place under his chin. He felt how Eduard's breath tickles his neck, and he smiled. That was good. That was how it should be. He moved slightly, to be able to fit better to this big, living heater right beside him. With his free hand he reached to long blond wisps which were tickling his collarbone. Long time ago, every time he looked at them, he thought they are heavy, because they were so straight, totally different than his. But it was not true. Now he knows it. They are thin, light…
"Good night, darling" he whispered and closed his eyes. He hoped his dream will be back soon with its sun, blue water of Baltic, salty wind… And when he was nearly there – in his dream world – he thought that he heard something from real world.
"I would never leave you…"
Or maybe it was just his imagination?
Eduard embraced Raivis tighter, so no one could separate them.
Outside the window was night with its dark sky, its bright stars, its chilly wind. Everything belonged to it. It, it, its, its, its…
And they were there, in small bedroom, in their small world and it was enough.
The end
