Chapter 2: Moving on
Bella woke up to someone tying her hands. "What are you doing?" She asked.
"We're leaving," Edward replied.
She gasped when he lifted her up off the ground and made her put her arms around his neck. She of course could not even escape with her hands tied together. "Get off me," she snapped.
"On the contrary, you're on me," he answered.
Bella tried to kick him when Edward grabbed her ankle. "Don't try it," he told her. She struggled against him when she suddenly felt heat behind her. Edward turned around and she saw that the tent they had been sleeping in was on fire.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Disappearing," he replied.
Before she could even react, Edward ran vampire speed through the forest with the rest of his coven. Everything was a blur going by them. She let out a small shriek when he suddenly jumped up into a tree, climbing up a little before jumping into another tree. Edward held onto her legs as he jumped across a ravine before they finally stopped. He grabbed a hold of her arms and lifted them over his head, letting her carefully drop to the ground. "Where are we?" She asked.
"Never you mind that," he replied.
He undid the ropes around her wrist and she rubbed them gently. "We're far enough from being seen, but close enough to a food source," Edward added. She looked over to see a river nearby.
"Where's the rest of the coven?" She asked.
"They have gone scouting," he replied simply.
He tossed the blankets that he had kept over to her. "There, so you don't freeze at night," he told her. Bella moved her fingers through her hair.
"Why haven't you killed me yet?" She asked.
Edward was digging a hole to be able to build a fire. "Do you want me to?" He asked.
"Well you seem to be the kind of vampire who drinks human blood," she replied.
"I do drink human blood," Edward told her.
"But then why haven't you killed me then? I'm a human and I'm guessing that's what your friends have brought me here for you to do," she replied.
"Don't push it girl, you should be happy that you're still alive," he told her.
"I'm a prisoner, that's not really grateful material," she answered.
Edward glared at her. "I have my reasons, don't question me too much," he told her.
"What will you do?" She answered defiantly.
Edward suddenly grabbed her arm, pulling her up so fast she had no time to react, and it made her stumble. She let out a gasp when she suddenly felt his mouth close to her neck. "Try me," he hissed quietly.
"I'm not afraid," she answered.
"You should be," he told her.
She suddenly felt a sting in her arm and looked to see a cut on her forearm, some blood trickling from the cut. Edward growled from the smell of her blood and held her arm up to his mouth. Bella closed her eyes tight, her fist clenching as he placed his mouth over her cut. Edward sucked the blood from her arm, her blood tasting just ass wonderful as it smelled. He pulled back when he felt her arm going limp and pulled back. "Don't test me again," he told her, releasing her arm. Bella fell back on the ground, feeling a little dizzy. She put her hand against her forehead when he suddenly wrapped her arm up.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"If they come back smelling your blood, even I won't be able to stop them," he told her.
She bit her lower lip and lied back on her blankets as she waited for the dizziness to fade away.

Jacob stopped running when he came across a burnt part of a forest in Seattle. "They were here," he told them.
"How do you know?" Leah asked.
"I can smell Bella everywhere," Jacob replied.
Jacob lowered his nose to the ground and sniffed. He growled; he lost it as soon as he had found it. "Her scent mixed in with the leeches'," he growled. Seth tried to find the scent too.
"Jacob what if they killed her?" Embry asked.
"If they did that, they would've left the body," Jacob replied.
"What if she's one of them?" Leah asked.
"You know how long it takes for a human to turn into a leech. Her scent wouldn't fade that fast," Jacob replied.
"They went this way," Seth insisted.
Jacob looked up as the fifteen-year-old ran down the hill and went after him with the rest of the pack behind him.
They ran for what felt like forever. Jacob refused to give up on finding Bella; he never wanted to give up. As he ran after Seth, his mind started to drift a little.
(Flashback)
Jacob got out of the truck and got out his dad's wheelchair, helping his father into it as Charlie came out. "I see you brought the truck," Charlie commented.
"As promised," Billy answered grinning.
Jacob looked up at Bella walked out of the house. "Bella, you remember Billy Black," Charlie commented. Bella shook his hand.
"Hey you're looking good," she commented.
"Still dancing," Billy quipped.
Jacob smiled a little. "Glad you're finally here, Charlie wouldn't stop talking about you coming here," Billy commented.
"Alright stop before I roll you into the mud," Charlie answered.
"Not if I ram you in the ankles," Billy told Bella's father trying to run him over with his wheelchair.
Jacob walked over to her. "Hi I'm Jacob," he told her smiling.
"Hey," she answered.
"We used to make mud pies together when we were little," he told her.
"Right no I remember," she assured him.
Jacob smiled. "Are they always like this?" She asked gesturing to their fathers.
"It's getting worse as they get older," he replied chuckling.
Bella laugh, her smile made his heart skip a beat.
(End Flashback)
Jacob continued running when he saw Leah staring at him. "Leave me alone," he told her. He ran faster to catch up with Seth, ignoring the stares his friends were giving him.
--------------------------------------
That night, Bella was sleeping next to the fire that Edward had built to keep her warm. She woke up to the sound of branches rustling. She opened her eyes to see Edward sitting on the other side of the fire. She sat up with a gasp. "Did I scare you?" He chuckled.
"No, surprised me," she replied.
He smiled a little as he threw a twig into the fire. "Where are the rest?" She asked.
"I had them stay away from this part of the camp," he replied.
"Why so they don't want to feed on me when you start to?" She asked.
Edward rolled his eyes as he put some food next to her. "Why won't you let me go home?" She asked taking a bite of the sandwich there.
"Why would I do that?" He asked.
Bella bit her lower lip. "You smell of mutt why?" He asked. She gave him a glare.
"I smell of what?" She asked.
"Mutt, dog, mongrel, canine. Why do you smell like one?" He repeated.
"That is none of your business," she replied drawing her knees up to her chest.
He rolled his eyes as he flicked another twig into the fire, watching it burn. Bella lied down on the ground and turned her back to the fire. She swallowed hard, trying to keep herself from crying. She knew by now all of Forks was looking for her. Her mom was probably losing her mind and her father was probably sending every officer out to find her. When her thoughts came to Jacob, she felt tears press against her eyes. She knew all too well, what Edward meant about calling him a "mutt", since Emmett called him one all the time.
Bella found out a few months ago that her boyfriend was a werewolf. He had revealed it to her after he disappeared for a few weeks. She let out a shaky sigh when she felt Edward move behind her. "Don't come any closer to me," she insisted.
"Well, I'm close enough to make sure no one else from the coven comes closer," he answered.
She rolled her eyes and stared at the moonlight that was bouncing off the water. She tucked her arm under her head as she cried softly.
Edward could hear her quiet sobs and could not help but wonder why it bothered him so much. He shrugged it off and stared into the fire. He let out an unneeded sigh and looked over at her.
After what felt like forever, she finally fell asleep and he reached over, caressing her hair. He leaned forward and took in her scen; it was so intoxicating. He could not help but want more. When her blood touched his tongue, instead of going crazy and drinking all of it, he heard his brain scream at him to stop while the monster within told him to keep going. He stopped though, he could not figure out why. He could not read her mind and he could not kill her. Edward let out a frustrated sigh as he got up and started walking through the forest. He stayed far enough away so he could think, but close enough just in case someone from his coven disobeyed his orders.
One thing was for sure, he wanted her. He wanted more than just her blood; he truly wanted her. She was the most beautiful human he had ever seen and he wanted to keep her as his own. He claimed her, the coven gave her to him as a gift and she was his now. No werewolf was going to take her away now, she belonged to him. Edward glanced over at the sleeping human and leaned against a tree as he just stood there and watched her as the night continued on. The only sounds that could be heard were the sounds of an owl, the crackling of the fire, and Bella's sleeping whimpers.
