Epilogue: 20 Years Later

Bella smiled as she held Edward's hand as they entered the cafeteria in Forks High School. "I never thought we would be back here again," she commented. Edward chuckled lightly, kissing the side of her head. They wore their wedding rings around their necks instead of on their fingers to keep the kids from whispering.

They had visited Charlie the week before, the man was aging as Bella knew he would, but he was so happy to see his daughter again. The last twenty years were nothing but pure bliss. Bella couldn't help but feel a little grateful that James and Laurent had kidnapped her, if it weren't for the kidnapping she wouldn't have met Edward. He was the missing part of her soul that she was looking for.

Wrapping his arm around his wife's waist, they sat down at the table with their family with smiles on their faces. "Bella, have you seen the mutt yet?" Rosalie asked curiously as she picked at her food.

"Jake? Not yet," she replied quietly.

Rolling her eyes a little, Bella pulled at the crust on her sandwich. "I plan on visiting the treaty line after school," she added.

"That'll be nice," Alice said with a small smile.

Edward entwined his fingers with Bella's before he spoke, "Do you want me to go with you?" Shaking her head slowly, she moved her thumb over his hand.

"No, I think I can handle seeing Jake again," she answered.

Nodding he went back to pretending that the food on his tray was interesting. Laughing a little she kissed the back of his hand before thinking about later that day when she would see her best friend again.

After school that day, Bella got into Edward's Volvo since he had agreed to ride with Jasper and Alice while she went to visit Jacob. "Bells," Edward called walking over to her. Turning around, he brushed a hair from her face. "Call if you need anything," he told her.

"Always," she answered.

Placing his hands on the sides of her face, he brushed his lips over hers. Resting her hands over his arms, she kissed him back with a small smile. "Eddie come on! I want to get home not watch you make out with your wife," Emmett teased. Edward glared at his brother before letting Bella go. Smiling Bella got into his car and drove off.

The drive to the treaty line felt like forever, when she finally came to a stop, she got out of her car and leaned against the hood of it. Looking around, everything still looked the same as before, the trees were still as beautiful and green, the air was still cold and rainy. Forks was still the same, but the people in it however were different.

Bella was waiting on her side of the treaty line for like an hour when she finally saw a car pull up. She stood up straighter as Jacob exited the car, closing the door behind him. "Hey Bella," he greeted smiling.

"Hey, you look great," she answered.

Walking over, Jacob embraced her with a smile. "You smell leech," he teased.

"Not as bad as you smell mutt," she quipped hugging him back.

Chuckling, he pulled away, moving his fingers through his hair. "I got your email, even though you don't have to keep me in the loop all the time," he chuckled.

"I want to, you're my friend Jake," she answered.

Smiling he kissed her forehead gently when the door opened. "Dad can we go yet?" A voice called. Bella looked over to see a girl standing there with shoulder-length black hair, brown eyes, wearing sneakers, blue jeans, and a white t-shirt.

"You a dad?" She commented with a grin.

"Yeah I know when did that happen?" He laughed.

Walking over to the car, Jacob reached in and pulled out a boy that had chin-length black hair, brown eyes, wearing Velcro white sneakers, blue jeans, a black t-shirt with a jean jacket. "Come here I want you to meet someone," he told the kids leading them to Bella. Smiling Bella looked at the two children in Jacob's arms. "Bella this is my daughter, Livvy, and my son, Taylor. Livvy is ten and Taylor is five," he informed.

"It's nice to meet you both," Bella told them.

"Livvy, Taylor this is my friend, Bella," he informed.

"Hi," Livvy greeted smiling.

Taylor waved, his head resting on his father's shoulder. Bella was smiling, feeling nothing but happiness for her friend. "My wife is Sasha and we should get home before she starts to wonder if I ran away with you kids," he chuckled lightly.

"It was nice meeting you two," she called to the kids.

They waved before Jacob got them back into the car. "So you imprinted," she commented. Nodding his head slowly, he rubbed his hands together.

"Took five years but I did," he answered.

"I'm happy you found happiness finally Jake," she told him.

"I'm glad you found it too," Jacob answered.

Hugging her again, Jacob sighed. "It was nice seeing you Bells, tell Edward I said hi," he told her letting her go.

"I will," she answered.

Jacob waved before getting into his car and drove back home. Watching until his car was out of her sight, Bella got into her car and drove back home.

Arriving home, Bella got out of the car to see Edward there waiting. "How did it go?" He asked.

"He's happy," she replied.

"Good," he murmured.

Bella hugged him tight with a smile on her face. "I love you," she whispered. Wrapping his arms around her, he kissed the top of her head.

"I love you Bella, always," he answered.

Nodding her head slowly, Esme handed the baby to the nurse who took the baby from the room. Smiling softly, she leaned back on the bed, closing her eyes as sleep took over her.

In the waiting room, Charles Evanson stood in the window as the nurse pushed the baby crib to the window, showing him the sleeping baby in the crib. Instead of pride showing on his face, it was disgust. "How dare she give birth to a daughter before a son," he hissed. He walked away from the window just as the baby opened her big brown eyes and a wail escaped her tiny mouth.
