Would it kill ya peeps to review? Even if it's 'You've butchered the characters' personalities and mangled the canon and I hate you forever now'? I mean I'm used to not getting any (ahaha...) but this is ridiculous XD

Everybody who got a name that didn't have an in-game name has a reason for getting that specific one. Some... are more nonsensical than others XD I hope I've made it clear enough as to who I'm referring to; if not, tell me and I'll (attempt to) fix it.

The first thing Captain James T. Olimar did upon entering the cockpit of the old rustbucket of a ship was to swear loudly and repeatedly.

When he was done, the silence was deafening.

"...I'll have to remember some of those," the ship finally said, surprise and a tiny bit of amusement trickling into his voice.

Though Olimar smiled, he leaned against the back of the seat, one hand rubbing his face, and sighed. The sounds of the ship blasting off into space filtered through the protective forcefield around the cockpit, but Olimar didn't even bother to open his eyes.

'This... this is...' another sigh. '...Didn't even have a chance to see my family, or say goodbye to the Dolphin...' There was weightlessness and the disorienting feeling of a lack of up or down as they escaped the pull of Hocotate's gravity. 'I hate Shyacho...'

He twisted around in the seat as it simply split open, revealing a tiny passageway barely wide enough for him to fit into. Still, it was a lot less cramped than the Dolphin's cockpit-to-interior tube had been, and for that small favor he was grateful. With more grace than anyone would have suspected from the still-tubby Captain, he propelled himself down the passageway, neatly flipping himself over when the artificial gravity began to pull. The blonde kid - Louie, wasn't it? - was just in front of him, far more awkward in his movements than Olimar but still fairly sure of himself.

Good. At least the kid wasn't a complete greenhorn around ships.

Louie, realizing that Olimar was behind him, stepped out of the doorway to the interior of the ship, allowing the Captain to pass through first. "Umm... I'm Louie. Louie Pixel."

Olimar offered a tired smile. "Captain James Olimar. Just... call me Olimar, alright? I've never liked my given name."

Louie returned it. "Okay. Nice to meet you."

Another smile, this one more strained. "Nice to meet you too. I'm just gonna go... crash somewhere, okay? It's been a really long time since I got a proper sleep..."

The younger Hocotatian nodded in understanding. "See you later, then."

Olimar only glanced over the setup of the main room before heading up the ladder that undoubtedly lead to the bunks - down was usually towards the cargo bays and bathroom. Sure enough, there was a pair of glorious, glorious beds right there, complete with pillow and sheets in the small doubling-as-escape-pod capsules. Freight-grade, admittedly, but after nearly a month of having to sleep in the Dolphin's cockpit, well... it looked like heaven.

He collapsed onto the bottom one, face-first, letting out a contented sigh as his tense muscles could finally relax. Bodily needs satisfied for the moment, his mind began to wander. Unsurprisingly, his thoughts went to the family he'd just been forced to leave again.

'I wonder what Sam's doing...'

His youngest was probably playing with Bulbie right now, throwing a stick or that thoroughly-punctured ball, disgusted at the amount of slobber on the thing but picking it up anyways. And likely showing it to his older sister, too, delighting in her proclamations of grossness.

'Astryd...'

She would either be in her room chatting with friends or out with said friends. At the mall, most likely, wasting several pokos on clothes. Where she stored them all, Olimar had no idea, and he was pretty sure that his wife was mystified as well.

A small smile found its way onto his face. 'Mmmh, 'Rine...'

He contemplated checking what time it was, but he had no idea of where the clock was, and he was entirely too comfortable anyways. So, for the sake of his little fantasy, he supposed that Nectarine was at home and not work. High school sweethearts, separated for nearly ten years before meeting again by chance in a groccery store... it wasn't the most romantic of locations, yeah, but that didn't really matter. They were together, that was what mattered... and ohh yeah the phrase 'absence makes the heart grow stronger' was definitely true...

"Captain?"

He blearily half-rolled over at the ship's voice, cracking his eyes open just slightly in order to get a look at the holo. ...Another tall one. Great. His neck was going to just love him after another couple weeks of looking up at people... The short gene was a blight on the Hocotatian people.

"Unless it's a dire emergency and we're all about to die, then leave me alone. Trying to sleep, here." he was aware that he sounded rather rude, but he couldn't bring himself to care. The ship'd get over it. Hopefully.

Surprisingly gentle, and oddly reminiscent of the Dolphin, the Angel replied with, "Good. You dearly need the rest, Captain. Can I wake you when Louie's done making something halfway edible?"

Food... that actually sounded rather nice. Something other than ration biscuits... they were filling, yes, but rather lacking in the taste department. "Yeah, okay. Thanks."

He inclined his head slightly at him, though he couldn't see it. "Sweet dreams." And the holo disappeared, undoubtedly returning to Louie downstairs.

Olimar slumped back into the pillow before sighing and sitting up, tiredly pulling off the boots and gloves of his suit. Though he'd gained a tan on his head from being in the open on the Pikmin Planet, the rest of his body had turned a very pale shade, almost white. His skin was soft, too, like an earthworm's, and it was startlingly easy to see the veins underneath.

"I'd look ridiculous out of the suit..." he muttered to himself with a tired grin before deciding that getting the rest of the thing off was too strenuous and flopping back down.

The enormity and stupidity of the situation - Hocotate Freight was bankrupt? - finally sunk in before sleep claimed him, and he managed to mumble four simple words.

"Here we go again..."
