Chapter 30: Confession and Punishment
By the end of the school, Kagome and Inuyasha get their bags and head out the door. Just when they are about to get into the car a voice stops them. "Inuyasha." Inuyasha looks up to find Kikyo with two men behind her. The one of the right has light brown hair with some of it over his forehead. The other man of Kikyo's left is more frightening. He has charcoal black hair hair to his lower back. Kagome stand her ground and widens her eyes. "Hojo." She murmurs quietly. "I know Kagome has a secret." Hojo said to her, ignoring Inuyasha's growls. "What are you talking about?" Kagome asks him. "Oh don't play dumb with me, Kagome, in fact you have more than one secret that you're not telling me." Kikyo steps in closer to her. "Kikyo, I can sense something coming off from her, it's from that ring of hers." Naraku narrows his when he spots the ring. "She's not a human anymore. She's a hanyou." Hearing that slightly widens Kagome's eyes.
Sensing Kagome is offended, Inuyasha protectively stands in front of her. "Kikyo let me ask you this; were you at the assembly today?" He asks her. "no I wasn't. why is that?" She answers him, unknowing what she's getting herself into. Not only her, but Hojo and Naraku as well. "I can't believe you missed it, or probably skipped it because you don't want to handle what the guest speaker was showing the school." Inuyasha said to her, including the two guys. "Why should we think about that thing. I don't even come to this school." Hojo said to Inuyasha. "Touche, but I'll let you guys know. The assembly is to warn the students about Bullying and what the outcome will be if it were to happen if you guys get caught. As a matter of fact…" Inuyasha smirks and snaps his clawed fingers. All of a sudden a swat team surrounds them. "What seems to be the problem Mr. Takahashi, Miss Higurashi?" The leader asks the mated pair. "Hey I want you to take a look at this." Inuyasha said as he gives a cell phone. "I want that phone under investigation." Inuyasha requested him. "Right away sir." He said and leaves, by the team stayed put. "What's the meaning of this?" Kikyo asks him in disbelief. "I happen to be one to call upon them." A familiar female voice tells them. Kikyo is beyond shocked. "Kagura, you traitor!" Kikyo screams at her. Kagura glares at her. "I'm the one who swapped your phone." She admits to her. Kikyo glares even more back. "Why the hell would you do that?"
Kagura sighs, "You should've been at the assembly Kikyo. You should be ashamed of yourself. And to Think I was really your friend to begin with. I knew for sure that when a new student comes into this school, you'd go great lengths to make sure she wouldn't get attention from someone you so called loved. Face it Kikyo you've been bullying her. And the reason I didn't act sooner was because I waited till this moment to expose you of your crime." Kagura sneers at her. Kikyo can feel the blood boiled up within her that her spiritual powers go haywire. "Look out!" Inuyasha said as he protects Kagome and accidentally slips the ring off her finger. No one didn't even see Kagome because she's under Inuyasha's protective body. Kikyo's eye burn bright pink. "I will not tolerate any of this. How dare you do this to me!" She screams with terror. Hojo and Naraku didn't even know that she'd be dangerous to begin with. "It's the wrath of the Priestess." Kagome shouts out. She looks to see Kikyo is rage. "Kikyo you need to understand here." Kagome comes to her carefully. Kikyo looks down to her in complete shock as well as everyone do. Kagome looks down to herself. Can see that the ring isn't on her finger. She spots it on the ground. She sighs, "Kikyo what you see before you, is me at a hanyou, just like what Naraku said." She explains so far. Kikyo keeps her glare on her. "I didn't want anyone else to see me like this because I assumed that if I did, I'd be rejected from anything I come across. That's why that ring over there kept me like a human anytime I were it." Kagome truthfully said to the raging priestess. "But you were mere human when you came her. How could you possibly become a hanyou?" She shouts to her as some spiritual power zaps everyone. "It's because of one thing, Kikyo. Your jealousy. You cannot control that because of your stubbornness and that's why you couldn't stop doing everything you can to prevent me to get close to Inuyasha. Not only that, Inuyasha is the only one who can do this. The Mating Effect." She talks back to her. Inuyasha knew that was going to happen. He managed to get to Kagome. "Kikyo, the Mating Scar is one of the most powerful things to possess." He points out at he and Kagome showed Kikyo the mated mark on the connection of their neck and shoulder. "I will not allow this!" Kikyo screams furiously at them as she zaps them both. Kagome got hit pretty bad on her leg. "Kagome." Inuyasha comes down to her. He can see the burnt mark on her left leg above the ankle. "I'm fine." Kagome weakly lies to him. Inuyasha shows a stern look but let it slide for now.
They look up to see Kikyo is on a rampage. "What is she going to do now?" Kagome asks him in a scared look. Inuyasha looks back up to see her about to shot another attack on the pair. Just when she about to shoot her attack, a loud growl stops her. "It's dad." Inuyasha smiles with relief. Right on by the building is a gigantic dog about 10 feet high. The fur was a silvery coloring and his eyes were red with teal pupils, and the markings. "Yep that's him alright." Kagome agrees with him. The dog pounced onto Kikyo to prevent her from any further damage around the area. Then came robes. They wrapped themselves around Kikyo, Naraku and Hojo. "Those are priestess robes." Kagome said to him in surprise. "Who could've done them?" She asks Inuyasha. Izayoi and Ai come into the picture. "Kagome, you okay?" Ai asks as she runs to her daughter caress her face. Kagome nods, "I am. Whose ropes are those?" Kagome nods then asks the last part. "Those ropes were originally from your grandfather. Even though he didn't looked like much, but he had a collection of them to prevent any priestess attacks." Ai explains to her daughter.
They struggles to get out of them, but they were too strong to hold her down. Soon some police cars come to the area. "Mrs. Takahashi, I came as fast as we could the officer said her quickly. "Thanks, you see that girl and those two boys with her in the ropes, she's been the one who has been threatening my daughter, and the men there are her accomplices." Izayoi tells them. The swat team made sure that the three hand cuffed and put into back of the van.
