It was Mr.D's first night as camp director. As much as he tried to put on a strong and distant face, none of the campers seemed to realise that it was a big cover up. He wanted to go back to his home because he couldn't stand being alone. apartment in the Big House for the first time, reminding himself that no one was out to get him before he turned out the light. His arm shook before he turned off the night switch. He missed Ariadne sleeping peacefully beside him. With no one to cuddle, he picked up an empty glass wine bottle and held it close to his chest. This had been his last drink on thunder started to roar louder now and the lightning flashed more violently.
Unexpectedly, his door creaked open. "G-get out! I'm armed!" He thought of using the bottle as a weapon. But a strong hand removed it from his grasp and placed it back on the nightstand beside him. the figure gently placed the grown man back under the covers and ruffled the hair on his head. "You need to learn how to make it alone, son." His father assured. Dionysus pleaded with his father. He gently held onto his robe and sobbed. "Please take me back, I promise to be good!" Zeus sighed. His son had said the same words to him in court, on the day of his trial. Zeus hated to admit it, but he had a soft spot for people in pain. Especially if that person was his own blood.
"It's for your own good. I know you're a god, but everyone is very concerned about your alcohol problems. Think of your mother, wife, kids..." The wine god's eyes grew wider. "Please stay with me until I fall asleep!" Zeus pulled a couple of items out of a sack he brought. "This hear is what mortals call a night - light. Made by Hestia herself." He plugged it in and a soft, beautiful fire light filled the room. He pulled out the next item. "Your wife and mother made this for you. I think it's called a teddy." It was very soft and huggable, something every young child would want at their bedside. Zeus stayed for a few more moments, reminding him that 100 years for a god flies by so quickly. Then he disappeared with the lightning.
"It's so precious!" Aphrodite squeaked back on Olympus, watching the father - son seen with Athena, Ares, and Hermes. Ares growled. "Such a little piss ant." She whacked him with a top notch designer bag. "You insensitive jerk!" She cried before storming off. Athena and Hermes chuckled. Athena nodded. "You have to admit, it's a beautiful moment." Hermes recorded the scene. "Yeah. I'll never let the wine man live this down."
