Eric arrived at Calleighs at around 6 'o clock, she wanted to cook him a hot meal. When he arrived there he noticed the front door was open. He panicked, she thought someone was stalking her what if they'd gotten in. He booked it out of his car and towards the house. He caustiously pushed the door further open, calling out to her. He then relized Horatio was standing to the side of the door. He straightend up and adressed him.

"H," he coughed, allowing his heart to return to normal. "What are you doing here?"

"I just drove Calleigh home," he calmyly replied.

"My car's in the shop," Calleigh smiled, escaping from the kitchen.

"Oh, okay." Eric replied, blushing at his foolishness.

"Well," Horatio began. "I must be going. Take care."

They bid their boss goodbye as he slipped through the door, closing it tightly behind him. Calleigh re-entered the kitchen, whistling a happy tune. Eric looked around the little bungulow. The walls were a calming blue colour with a darker trim. There was attractive paintings on the walls, of flowers and children. Picture frames everywhere with all kinds of things, mostly of her and her father. There was one of her at age 3, being held by an older blonde lady he assumed has her mother. Another with her and a big fluffy white dog. There was one of her, probably 6 years old, in a southern bell dress sitting on a back yard swing. She had her diploma up on one of her bookcases.

"Eric," she called. "Can you check the machine?"

Eric went over to her phone and hit the play button, it went on and he continued his inspection. The floor was carpeted with a nice blueish- grey plush carpet. It was soft and comforting under his feet. Her book cases were filled with all kinds of books, one was filled with just bullistics books, probably from her college days. He noticed a tiny little silver bullet on that book case, he picked it up in confusion. It was solid and was engrved. So proud of you Lamchop. He knew it was from her Dad, he always called her Lambchop.

"Dinners ready," Calleigh called.

Eric entered the kitchen and was hit with the smell of Cuba.

"Wow," Eric smiled, looking around. "This is great."

"I thought I'd prepare something a little more familiar." she smiled back.

She had prepared some tradditional Cuban food, Fritas, Empanadas, Yuca con mojo and TurrĂ³n. It reminded Eric of home, when his mom cooked family meals. They sat down and Eric said a little blessing and then they dag in. The flavours of the food were so comforting to Eric.

"This is incredible," he gulped. "Where did you learn to cook like this?"

"Well," Calleigh began. "I took Spanish when I was younger and my teacher, Rosalinda Perez, was aslo a chef at this little resterant. Well I used to get her to tutor me, so she would bring me to her resterant. We used to practice when she made food, but she started getting behind. Instead of quitting though, she taught me the recepies. So we both made them while I practiced."

"That's funny," Eric smiled, imaging the scene. "Is that your mom in that picture with you?"

"Yep," she replied. "Back when she wanted to be my mom."

Eric knew about Calleighs mom and how she wanted to be her friend, not really her mother. Calleigh slumped slightly in her chair, staring down at her meal.

"Sorry to make you sad." Eric whispered. "I know it must be hard on you."

"It was," she replied. "But it wouldn't have matterd much either way."

They finished their meal in silence. When it was finished Eric helped with the dishes. They were just about finished when a loud clatter came from outside the back door.
