A small smile, barely curling the edge of her mouth, from the sadness wafting off of her it was a wonder it could stay on her face. When I asked her that question she just stared out into the distance.

So I asked again. "Why are you so sad?"

She stood and began to pace, back and forth. I wanted to reach out a pull her away from the sheer cliff wall. I continued waiting patiently; I had all the time in the world. I stared into the distance, my eyes blurring out of focus.

"Do you know where we are?" I turned my attention to the voice.

"er no, I don't, where?

She leaned down into a crouch. "We are at the edge my world."

She placed her hands on the soft green grass. Her arm muscles flexed and she back flipped into the chasm.

"holy glob!" I yelled and leaped down the trench.

I descended quickly until I was at the bottom; I descended until I landed softly on my feet. I didn't see a pile of guts, the only sign she was still alive.

I screamed as something landed on my back. I flipped it off and unsheathed my axe.

"Glob darnet Marshall I was trying to jump in that lake!"

"What," I yelled "you were totally trying to kill yourself!"

"Glob Marshall why would I do that!" she threw her hands in the air.

"Well I don't know, you were all sad."

"No, I was preparing to jump."

"Oh," I said

"Dumb Marshall." She yelled and stormed away quickly.

"Dumb Fionna!" I yelled before she was out of earshot.

She turned and threw a pop can at me, falling short by five feet or so and turned and broke into a run

"I'm not dumb," I muttered under my breath before taking to the sky.
