Draco Malfoy
He found her asleep on the couch in their shared common room, her face was streaked with tears and her hand held a crumpled piece of paper. He didn't know what was wrong but he figured it had something to do with the paper. Not like he cared about the know it all but he was curios, he knew it hadn't worked out with weasel-bee after the war, he also knew that granger was the only member of the "golden trio" that returned to redo their seventh year so maybe it had to do with saint potter. His curiosity peaked when she let out a sob in her throat, reaching down quietly he pried the piece of paper out of her hands and read it.
Ms. Granger I regret to inform you that your parents have gotten into a very serious accident, they were announced dead yesterday morning at 4am in an Australian hospital, I give you my condolences I know this must be very hard considering you had yet to restore their memories. If you need anything Ms. Granger do ask.
Sincerest apologies
Headmistress Professor McGonagall
Draco looked down at the girl on the coach and sighed; he scooped her up in his arms gracefully and proceeded to carry her up the stairs and into her room. Gently without waking her he set her on the bed and pulled the covers over her. His mind whirling he turned to leave the Gryffindor's room.
Hermione's pov
She woke up the next morning more groggy than they she was the night before. She yawned and tried to blink the tired ness away. She didn't remember coming up stairs last night, in fact she remembers falling asleep after reading that letter…the letter. She sighed and stood wiping the stray tear off her cheek. She walked over to her mirror; the reflection she saw was exactly how she felt. Her eyes were red and puffy, she still had her clothes from yesterday on and her hair was sticking up in practically every direction. Turning away from her reflection she walked into the bathroom, and removed her clothing and sunk into the bath trying to forget the night before.
Hermione didn't notice the slytherin prince standing shocked in the door way.
