Soo, a couple of notes before you read this chapter. First of all, I know I said in the beginning that everyone was a senior, but I thought a little bit more about it and decided to make them juniors since Trina was still at Hollywood Arts. So sorry if anyone got confused there. And second of all, I know the last chapter was probably labeled "Chapter 12" in your alert emails, and this is now the new Chapter 12 because I deleted one of the author's notes in the story. Again, sorry for the confusion, lovelies!
Tori's POV
Dear Sikowitz,
I am not going to call this a diary because I know I'm really writing to you; I just see no point in writing "Dear Diary" like everyone does in books and movies. Stupid diary. Stupid stars. Stupid everything! Gaaah, I'm sorry, I'm in a really bad mood right now. This horoscope project is driving me nuts! And I'm writing this at two in the morning because I can't sleep and I tend to ramble on and on and on when I'm tired so I apologize if I sound like a total lunatic because I can't shut my mouth.
First of all, everyone is acting really weirdly because of it. Beck and Jade aren't speaking to each other anymore, and now Cat and Robbie are avoiding each other as well. It was just me and Andre at lunch today and we somehow ended up getting into an argument! This project is tearing our group apart and I don't like it. Not at all.
Second of all, my horoscope pretty much told me to ask someone for their input before committing to something. At first, I didn't think it was true. I'm pretty convinced that these horoscopes are written by people who have no idea what they're talking about and who just want to screw with people's minds. But later on today (well yesterday, technically, but who cares?) I got a call from Oliver, the guy who's helping me try to land this record deal with Shawn Quincy. Shawn liked my record and wants to make me a star!
After hearing the news, I was ecstatic. I was so ready to sign that contract and start recording albums and going on tours. It was all so exciting to me; I was finally going to get the big break I had always dreamed of! But then I told Andre about it at lunch and the magic just faded away. Poof! Into thin air it went. He had some good points; the music biz isn't all that it's cracked up to be. You don't always get your way; you're confined to whatever the contract tells you to follow. People get taken advantage of all the time and who knows if people are going to like you or not? There are just too many variables to consider. And wow, variables remind me too much of math. Ugh, I hate math.
And also, if I were to start going on tours in the summer, I wouldn't be able to see my friends. And what if I had to start being homeschooled or have to take online courses because stardom would take up too much of my life? There's not a lot of time left before we'll have to go our separate ways and even though that's over a year away, I want to spend as much time with them as I possibly can- and becoming a huge pop star would make that nearly impossible.
I haven't even read the contract yet; I'm just too irritated and confused. I have two weeks to make my decision; I'll use that time to think things over and figure out what I really want to do in the future. And you know what? I'm going to try and get some sleep before I end up saying something I regret. Night Sikowitz!
Narrator's POV
Tori stumbled into school the next morning looking like she had stuck her finger into an electrical socket. She had slept through her alarm clock, barely made it to the bus on time, and only had a few spare minutes to throw some clothes on and grab a granola bar from the pantry. Her hair poofed out in all directions and her makeup, which she had forgotten to take off last night, was smeared on her face.
"Tori!" Cat gasped and ran to meet Tori as she made her way to her locker. "What happened to you?"
Tori sighed. "Sikowitz's project happened, that's what."
"What are you talking about?"
"The horoscopes, remember?" Tori reminded Cat. "They're making me nutty in the head!"
"Why? Did yours come true?"
"Yes, it did!" Tori waved her hands in the air in frustration. "And because of it I couldn't sleep and that is why I look like one of those troll dolls I used to play with when I was little!"
She pointed to her head to make her point clear, and Cat saw what she was talking about. "Yeah, your hair looks pretty messy," she agreed, giggling.
Tori glared at her. "Not helping."
She shut her locker and looked around. "Hey, where's Jade? I bet she'd have a ball making fun of me today."
"I don't know," Cat said, looking around along with her. "The bell is going to ring in a couple of minutes. She's usually here by now."
Tori shrugged. "Huh. Weird. I wonder if she's sick or something."
She slammed her locker door shut and slung her bag over her shoulder. "Come on, let's get to class. Today's our first meeting about the horoscope project."
Cat widened her eyes and her mouth formed the shape of an O. "Really? It has already been a week since we started it?"
"Yep. Today we find out what happened to everyone after they read their horoscopes."
Cat giggled. "How fun! That's going to be really interesting."
Tori sighed. "You have noooo idea."
Before Cat could ask her what exactly she meant by that, they reached Sikowitz's classroom. "Good morning, children!" Sikowitz greeted them. "Take a seat, any seat! We have an exciting day planned today!"
Tori took an empty seat in the front of the room while Cat bounced up to Andre. "Hiiiiii!" she said excitedly.
Andre chuckled and patted a seat next to him. "Hey Lil' Red, how have you been?"
"Um, I've been okay," Cat replied, sitting next to him. "Things have been a little strange, but they're okay."
"I'm surprised you're not sitting next to Robbie like you usually do." Andre motioned over to Robbie, who was arguing with Rex on the other side of the room. "Something happen between you two?"
He raised his eyebrow suspiciously at Cat, even though he knew what had already happened between them. He just wanted to see if Cat would tell him the same story Robbie had the other day.
Cat's posture immediately tensed and she was about to respond when she was interrupted by Sikowitz. "Alright, everyone! Who's up for making snow angels outside?"
The class merely just stared at him, confused. Tori raised her hand tentatively. "Um, Sikowitz… there's no snow outside."
"How can we make snow angels if there isn't any snow outside?" Rex chortled from Robbie's lap.
Sikowitz put his finger on his chin, thinking. "Undoubtedly true… Let's go make grass angels instead!"
The class started protesting. "But Sikowitz…"
"NOW. Unless you really want to keep analyzing the script we were looking at yesterday."
Everyone exchanged looks and reluctantly started heading out the classroom. "Wait a second! Tori, Beck, Andre, Cat, Robbie, stay behind. I think you all owe me an update on your little horoscope projects."
The five teenagers grabbed chairs and set them around Sikowitz's desk. "Is that why you sent everyone outside? So you could talk to us about the project?" Tori asked.
Sikowitz smiled sheepishly. "Yes."
"But why grass angels?"
"I panicked, okay?!" he exclaimed. "It was the first thing that came into my mind."
Tori put her hands up in defeat. "Can you call your sister and get her to join us?" Sikowitz asked her.
"Yeah, sure."
She put her thinking face on for a moment and then shot her sister a text. Like the last time, Trina was at the door within seconds. "You tied Robbie up and hung him upside-down in a unitard? Oh, I can't wait to see this!"
"Um, Trina…" Robbie waved his hand awkwardly from where he was sitting. "I'm right here."
Trina's face fell. "Oh my god, I can't believe I fell for that again!" she whined.
"Maybe if you would read the reminders Sikowitz sends us, I wouldn't have to keep doing that to you," Tori told her.
"But that hippie isn't even my teacher anymore! I shouldn't have to listen to him! No offense, Sikowitz."
The balding teacher put a hand to his heart. "Actually, that one kind of hurt. But none taken, I guess. Now shall we get this meeting started?"
"But wait! Sikowitz, where's Jadey?" Cat piped up. "Didn't you say in one of your texts that these meetings are mandatory in order to graduate?"
"You're right Cat. I did say that. But Jade had a family emergency and couldn't make it. In fact…" Sikowitz trailed off, his appearance becoming very serious, which was very unlike him. "she may not be able to come back to Hollywood Arts by the end of the year."
Everyone gasped. "Where is she? What happened?" Beck demanded.
"Since I'm not authorized to speak about a student's personal matters to other students… she'll have to tell you that herself in a minute."
Before anyone could ask what he meant by that, Sikowitz pulled out a green laptop, opened it, and pressed a button. Immediately, Jade's face popped onto the screen. "Hey guys." She waved her hand unenthusiastically.
"Jade, can you tell us what the heck is going on so we can get on with this?" Andre asked.
"Yeah, thanks for caring, Andre," Jade snapped. "I'm in Arizona with my mom. She's not feeling so well and I have to stay down here with her until she is well enough to take care of herself."
"Why is your mom in Arizona?"
"Why is she sick?"
"Doesn't she have someone else who can take care of her?"
"You don't need to know!" Jade yelled, making the group grow quiet. "So I'm here, Sikowitz. What the heck do you want from me?"
"Alright, so I thought I would first start us off with a general opinion question: what do you all think of the project so far and the horoscope so far?"
"Horrible."
"Terrible!"
"I almost got murdered!"
"Not very fun."
"Ugh."
"I loved it! I got to wear a pajelehoocho all day because of it!"
Everyone looked at Cat weirdly. "Yeah, sounds like you got something else out of it, too," Rex snickered.
Cat's face turned a deep shade of red that matched her tank top. "Rex!" Robbie shouted.
"We all hate it, Sikowitz," Tori interrupted before Rex could say anything else. "We hate how these things that people write can alter everything that we're doing. It's like we don't have a choice; if it says it will happen, it happens."
"That could be the case. But maybe we can find the real reason behind your dislike if we hear everyone's experiences. I'll pick a person randomly and when it's your turn to speak, give us a short summary of what your horoscope told you and what you did because of it."
Sikowitz gestured towards the computer screen. "Jade, since you're here virtually, you can go first."
Jade squinted her eyes in confusion, not understanding the reasoning behind his choice, but then just rolled her eyes. "Okay… well my horoscope pretty much told me to go out and flirt with guys and since Beck and I broke up months ago, I decided to stop pitying myself and get back into the dating game."
"And how did that work out?"
Jade sighed. "Not very well. All the cute guys were either drunk, taken, or gay. Didn't really find anyone worth going after."
"Oh yeah, but she DID take a picture with some random guy because she wanted to make Beck jealous," Cat giggled.
"Cat!" Jade screeched, her voice blaring through the computer's speakers.
Beck's eyes lit up. "Aha! I knew it! "
"Oh shut up, Beck."
Beck snickered. "You can't tell me what to do anymore, babe."
"Then why did you just call me babe? We're not together anymore, you idiot!"
"Well we could've gotten back together, but you pushed me away!" Beck argued back.
"Wait, you two are dating again? I thought you were going to give her some space." Andre ran his fingers through his dreads while shaking his head.
Beck exhaled. "No, we're not, Andre. And I'm giving her plenty of space now, trust me." He glared at Jade, who growled back at him and crossed her arms in front of her chest.
"Oooh, this is getting interesting! Beck, tell us what happened with you and your horoscope now that you're all flustered." Sikowitz smiled and rested his chin on his hands in anticipation.
"Okay, well my horoscope told me that I wouldn't 'repel' anyone that day, so I decided to use my charm and trick Jade into hanging out with me so we could ease the tension between the two of us."
Jade snorted. "What charm? The only reason I came over in the first place was to hang with everyone else, not you. God, I can't believe I was so gullible."
"Well, you seemed to not be able to resist my charm at the pier when we were going on all those rides," Beck retorted.
"I was 'caught up in the moment,' Beck. Surely you'd understand that."
Beck gritted his teeth and his hands balled into fists at hearing his exact words being shot back at him. "Okay, that was completely uncalled for!"
"Wait, who got caught up in the moment?" Trina asked.
"Beck tried to kiss Jade," Tori commented.
"WHAT?!" everyone except Beck and Jade exclaimed in astonishment.
"What the heck, Tori!" Jade shouted. "Can't you keep a secret for once?"
"Alright everyone, enough fighting!" Sikowitz pounded his fist on the table. "Argue on your own time. Trina, how about you go next?"
"FINALLY." Trina stood up and flipped her hair, preparing for her little speech. "The app told me that I should take advantage of moments that were going my way. So, since I was sort of sick that day, I stayed home at school and did whatever I wanted. But then my mom wouldn't let me go anywhere and I missed Gary taking his shirt off!"
"Oh yeah, that was awesome!" Cat squealed. "He has the sexiest abs ever!"
Trina glared at her. "Thanks for rubbing it in!" No one seemed to catch Robbie look down at his stomach ashamedly, wishing he had what Gary had to impress Cat.
"Let's keep moving, people! Andre, you next."
"Okay…well um, mine told me that something was going to make me nervous and that I needed to say something if that was really what was causing me to be nervous. I handed in my song 365 Days for my Advanced Songwriting class and the girl I wrote it for read it. Eventually I had to tell her that I wrote the song about her."
"And that song was about me, by the way," Jade added, a triumphant smile appearing on her face.
"Really? I thought you wrote that song about Tori," Trina said casually, admiring the manicure she had gotten the other day.
Upon hearing her name, Tori snapped out of her daydreaming and looked at Andre. "No, that song wasn't about her," Andre muttered.
Remembering the bet she and Beck had made, Jade raised her eyebrow questioningly. "So you admit you did write a song about Tori? Or multiple songs, perhaps?"
"Jade," Beck warned her. "Stop trying to make people uncomfortable. You're the one starting all the fights."
"Oh, you're just saying that because you want to win the bet," she scoffed.
"Wait, what bet?" Robbie asked, scratching his head.
Everyone started pressuring Jade to say something about this so-called bet until Tori stood up. "Okay, I volunteer to go next! My horoscope told me not to get in over my head even if everything made sense. It advised me to ask someone else for his opinion on it before I decided to commit to anything. I got offered a record deal yesterday-"
"Congrats, Tori! That's awesome!" Cat chirped.
"Yeah, way to go!" everyone else chimed in.
Tori smiled. "Thanks, guys. Anyway, they told me to sign the contract, but I asked Andre for advice even though I was all set with my decision. But he brought up some good points and now I'm going to have to think more carefully before I sign on with Shawn Quincy."
Trina smirked. "Sounds like someone didn't want her to leave him."
Tori glanced over at Andre, who shrunk in his seat and blushed furiously. Why is he acting so weird? she wondered. If he doesn't tell me soon, I'll have to find out myself.
"Wait, you got a record deal? How come no one tells me anything anymore?" Robbie whined.
"You're just clueless naturally, Robbie. You too, Cat," Tori said.
Cat, hearing her name along with Robbie's, jumped in surprise. "What's that supposed to mean?" Robbie said defensively.
"Hey, that's my line!" Cat giggled.
"It's like the two of you are in your own little cocoon," Jade mocked. "You don't know what's going on around you, but everyone knows what's going on with you two."
"What?" Cat and Robbie automatically said at the same time. "That's- that's crazy talk!" Cat stuttered, subconsciously tapping her foot against her ankle anxiously. "Can I go next, Sikowitz?"
Sikowitz sighed, acknowledging he had lost control over the whole discussion. "Sure, why not?"
"Okay!" She bounced out of her chair excitedly. "So my horoscope told me that I'd win any arguments about my pajelehoochos and everything else that happened that day. And it was true at first! I made Robbie hold up his side of the deal and that's why we were both wearing the pajelehoochos to school the other day."
"Wait, you and Robbie made a deal?" Beck questioned.
"Yeah! I made him wear a pajelehoocho in exchange for helping him babysit his little cousin."
Cat smiled and stared into space while everyone looked at her expectantly. "Well?" Jade asked.
"Huh?"
"When did it become 'untrue'?" Sikowitz clarified for her.
"When these two big men in black ran into us while we were walking home that night and ordered us to give them our pajelehoochos while holding a gun at our heads."
Everyone's eyes widened. "So did you guys give them your pajelehoochos?" Trina asked.
"Yes. We had no choice!"
"Were you wearing anything under the pajelehoochos?" Jade asked from the laptop.
Cat's cheeks turned pink and she looked down at the ground. "No," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Just underwear."
"Awkward!" Rex sang out suddenly. "And then you two did the diddly-do afterwards, didn't you?"
His unnecessary comment had dire consequences, however, as the last thing he saw before he was hurled out the window was a flash of red. "Go humiliate someone your own size!" Cat shouted before closing the window loudly.
Suddenly realizing that everyone was staring at her in shock, Cat's eyes started to water and she ran out the door in tears.
The room was silent for a second until Jade broke it. "Well, that went well."
"It sure didn't," a voice said in the room. But it wasn't from anyone sitting around Sikowitz's desk.
Trina stormed over to the curtains on the platform and pushed one over. "Sinjin! Why are you spying on us? Go make grass angels or something!"
"No! Grass angels are stupid. And trust me, this is waaaay more interesting."
Sinjin wiggled his eyebrows, making everyone groan. "Just go comfort Cat, please," Tori sighed and waved him out the door.
"Kk!"
After Sinjin left, the room retrograded into silence again. "So I guess that's it?" Jade wondered. "Can I go now?"
"Whoa whoa whoa, I didn't get to go yet!" Robbie protested.
"He's right, Jade. You can't go until he finishes his story," Sikowitz told her.
Jade groaned. "Kill me now."
"Thanks for the enthusiasm, Jade," Robbie retorted. "Mine told me that I shouldn't try and make an offer to someone that I couldn't keep. When Cat came over to help me babysit my cousin Tracy, I found out once Tracy left with my aunt that she was living alone in her house. Her parents left to visit her brother who is in a special hospital in Idaho."
"Did they say when they would be back?" Tori asked.
"In a year or two, which is a really long time. Since she didn't seem to have anyone else to live with, I was going to suggest that she stayed at my place for a little bit until she found some other option, but then I decided against it."
"And I think we can all guess why. You liiike her," Tori teased playfully, poking his side.
Robbie didn't respond, but the color of his face gave it away anyway. "Eventually, we found out that her Nona lives in California, not Italy, so she gave her a call and now she's living there."
"Aww, you never got to tell her how you feel!" Rex cooed from outside. "Doofbag."
"Shut up Rex or else I'm not giving you a bath tonight!" Robbie yelled.
"Oh-kay, I think that's enough for today! We have five minutes until the bell rings, children. You can talk or do whatever you want until then." Sikowitz then got a frenzied look in his eye. "Just let me get out of the room first."
He sprung out of his chair and dashed out the door. "Can someone please close this laptop so I don't have to see all of you anymore?" Jade complained. "You people make me sick."
"Why don't you just log off yourself?" Tori asked.
"Because I don't feel like it!"
The computer suddenly went silent, and everyone looked at Beck's hand on the top of the laptop in surprise. "This isn't over," he seemed to mutter to himself.
The gang watched him grab his backpack and head towards the door. "Where are you going?" Robbie asked him, befuddled.
"To Phoenix."
He slammed the door shut with Andre, Tori, Trina and Robbie gaping at him. "So much for him giving Jade space," Andre sighed.
"Okay, I'm done here. Seems like the drama is over and I'm wherever the drama is!" Trina followed Beck out the door as well.
While Trina exited, Cat walked back into the room, sniffling. "I'm back."
Robbie held out his arms for her and she walked right into him, hugging him around his waist. "I'm sorry about Rex. He needs to learn to control his mouth."
"We need to talk, Robbie," Cat mumbled in his shirt.
Robbie sighed, knowing that this was going to have to happen eventually. "I know, sweetie, I know."
"You have a walking buddy to your history class?"
He smiled at her. "Nope, but I can sure use one."
He took her hand and they walked out of the classroom together. Tori and Andre were watching the whole scene with mild amusement the whole time. "They're so into each other."
Tori gave Andre a look. "No duh! Robbie has been drooling over her since she kissed him to prove that she was acting. He's completely in love with her."
"And for Lil' Red to trust Robbie like that, well that's gotta mean something."
A twinkle appeared in Andre's eyes and Tori noticed. "Dude, get your head out of the gutter! God, you're such a guy." She shook her head in exasperation.
"Okay, I'm sorry, I'm just having a little fun," Andre apologized.
"Yeah, something you do when you get wonky." Tori crossed her arms accusingly over her chest. "First you constantly keep bringing up this mystery girl, you keep making inappropriate remarks at whatever chance you get, and now you're writing songs about this girl too? If you don't tell me who she is soon, I'm going to have to resort to desperate measures."
"Not until you catch me first!"
Andre sprinted past her out the door, throwing Tori off. "Andre, get your butt back here and stop acting like a child!" she shouted and followed him out the door.
After everyone was gone, Sikowitz came out of his hiding place and slowly entered the classroom. He sat down at his desk, propped his feet up on it, and sipped calmly on his coconut milk. Everything was going according to plan. Even though the project was tearing the group apart, the wise, bald teacher knew that it would somehow bring them all back together again.
He had heard what happened between all of them while he was hiding out; Beck was going to follow Jade to Phoenix, Cat and Robbie were thinking about admitting their feelings to each other, and Tori and Andre… Sikowitz couldn't believe that Tori still hadn't figured out she was in fact Andre's "mystery girl."
As the bell signaling the end of first period sounded throughout the building, Sikowitz took his mouth off the straw and smiled deviously. "Sikowitz, ol' sport…you're a genius."
Jade's POV
I stare at the monitor on the hospital computer, not exactly believing what I had just witnessed. Did Beck really just hang up on me? Out of all the people who could have possibly shut the laptop, was Beck really the one who did it?
I don't know what to think now. One minute he's completely in love with me and the next he acts like I'm the most annoying thing ever. See why I can't get back together with him now? I can't deal with that shit for another second with him. I won't allow it.
No matter how much he may claim to be in love with me, he's really not. What happened just a few minutes ago just proved that he wasn't.
God, I hate him so much. But I love him too.
What the fuck is wrong with me?
"Jade?" a voice says behind me. I recognize it as the voice of the nurse that is taking care of my mother. "If you're finished with what you're doing, someone is here to see you."
"I don't want to see anyone," I say sharply. Especially after what just happened.
"Not even your own brother?"
I freeze as the lady's voice is replaced by a noticeably deeper one. I turn around to see my twenty-two year old brother facing me. "Gavin?"
He smiled and held out his arms to greet me. "In the flesh," he chuckled.
I don't usually hug people willingly, but with Gavin it's different. I don't feel threatened when he hugs me; on the contrary, his hugs make me feel safe. Which is ironic considering the fact he's in jail for strangling a person just because he wouldn't tell him the time of day.
In his defense, he was drunk when he murdered the poor sap. In his opposition, being drunk is never a good excuse for committing a first-degree murder for practically no reason.
I barrel into his arms and squeeze him senseless. "How the heck did they let you out of prison? They sentenced you for ten years or until we could earn the money to bail you out."
He squeezes me back. "The hospital called the prison about Mom overdosing. They let me leave with my probation officer once they checked to see if I was clean. Claimed it was a 'family emergency.'"
He motions over to a tall, sturdy African American man in a dark blue suit. "That's him over there. His name's Henry, but I like to call him Hen for short."
I snicker. "Even though he's a man?"
His blue eyes sparkle as he smiles sheepishly. "Yeah, I didn't think the nickname through that well, but once I came up with it, it just stuck."
"He looks more professional than I thought he would," I comment, examining the probation officer. I expected this guy to look like he had been immersed in kryptonite. But nope. Even though he's definitely well-built, he looks as lean and skinny as a chicken leg.
Gavin runs his fingers through his jet-black hair and laughs, reading my mind. "Not everyone looks buff in a prison, Jade. There are civilized people in a prison, you know. The people who work there are, at least."
He takes a step back and scans me head-to-toe. "God, Jade…" he muses, his face practically glowing with pride. "You've changed so much in two years. You definitely don't look like a child anymore."
I roll my eyes at him. "Hence the definition of growing up, smartie."
"Touché."
He wiggles his eyebrows at me, making the scar above his right eyebrow look like a snake crawling across a floor. I can't help but laugh at his goofiness and go in to hug him again. "It's so great to see you again, Gavin. I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you too, girl. I'm surprised you're even down here with Mom. Aren't you supposed to be in school or something right now?"
"They let me leave once I told them Mom was in the hospital. I didn't tell my friends though. They freaked out when I told them the news after I left."
"That's not the only reason I'm asking," Gavin said quietly, pulling me off to the side. "I thought you were still mad at Mom for leaving us. The day she left, you told her to go to hell and that you'd rather die than see her again."
I bit my lip. I knew he was going to bring this up sooner or later. "I know I did, and I'm still mad at her. You know me; I'm the queen of grudges." I pause, collecting my thoughts, and then look into his eyes defiantly. "But she's my mom; even though I may not like her, I still love her. And if she doesn't make it through this, I want to be able to say goodbye to her without any guilt."
Gavin pats my shoulder in an attempt to comfort me and glances back to the hospital room where my mom is being treated. "She's in a coma, Jade. It could take her months to wake up, possibly a year at the most. Not to mention that the drugs she overdosed on may have damaged vital parts of her brain." He puts his hands on my shoulders. "Are you willing to miss that much school and leave your friends for that long?"
Pssh, what is he talking about? I don't care at all. I hate school anyway and my friends don't really like me all that much; they just deal with my bitchiness because they've given up on stopping me. They don't actually care about me and my happiness. And don't even get me started on Mr. Smart-Ass Beck. He's the impetus that pushed me to go see my mom in the first place—it was the perfect opportunity to get away from him. To get away from all the drama and hurt and heart-wrenching torture.
I cross my arms in front of me, unwavering, refusing to crumble under Gavin's empathetic gaze. "Yes. Whatever it takes to see my mom get well again."
Hmmm two very big surprises there- Beck is going to go after Jade to Phoenix and you got to meet Jade's brother! I thought about putting Jade's horoscope in there as well, but I decided to save it for the next chapter instead. I also thought of ending the narrator's POV with everyone arguing, but I ended up typing something different instead. Excited to read what happens next? Awesome!
Oh, and an opinion question: Should I change the rating of this story from T to M? Please review with your thoughts because I have no idea what I wanna do with that!
