The scene opens on Chris, standing on the pier. "Last time on Total Drama All Stars." Flashbacks of the previous episode start playing. "Our final two, Bart and Katniss, battled it out for the ultimate prize of one million dollars. Their final challenge started as a race through a valley inhabited by this season's eliminated cast, excluded Ezekiel because he's MIA. You know, again. The lead changed a few times, but ultimately Katniss reached the exit of the valley first, and went on to complete the second part of the challenge: firing at a target while moving. With a good place on the board, it was going to take a miracle for Bart to win. A miracle that didn't come, leaving Katniss as the winner of Total Drama All Stars." The camera cuts back to Chris on the pier. "So, with the winner officially announced, why have we still got another episode? Where could we possibly go from there? And why am I asking these questions when you should already know that we're just going to reveal what we're doing in season two? Find out now, on Total Drama All Stars."
Intro song plays.
The campers have joined Katniss and Bart at the bottom of the hill, her friends celebrating her victory, her enemies still seething over it, when Chris comes up. "Okay Katniss, congratulations on your victory, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera," said Chris. "But now for something actually important: anyone interested in competing in season two, please enter that cave." Chris indicated a cave just behind him.
"Are you serious?" said Rachel. "After all the crap you put us through this season, you expect us to just willingly compete in a second season?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realise you guys were too good for a million dollars," said Chris. This got everyone's attention, and immediately, the contestants made their way into the cave. It was very quickly that they realised something was wrong.
"What the hell's wrong with all these walls?" said Marty, putting his hand on a wall that seemed to shimmer and wave like it was water. He was then sucked into the wall, disappearing from sight.
"Oh about that," said Chris. "You may have realised that all of you were from different worlds . . ."
"Huh?" said Finn.
"What? You didn't realise this?" said Chris.
"No we didn't," said Murtagh. "What are you even talking about?"
"Didn't you guys ever wonder why there's no such place as Alagaesia, Ooo, Panem, Alexandria or Kanto in this world?" asked Chris.
"Actually, Kanto is an actual region of Japan," said Light. "Although I don't remember it being inhabited by Pokémon."
"Well, whatever," said Chris. "The point is that they don't exist in this world. We wanted to make this season more interesting, so we ripped open several inter-dimensional portals and brought you here. Unfortunately, that kind of thing is extremely dangerous, so we had to cram it somewhere safe. We chose this cave, because no-one knew of its existence until now. As a result of all the inter-dimensional experiments we did in here though, the cave is kind of messed up. The physical structure of it isn't right, so you could end up almost anywhere."
"So basically, you're trapping us in here," said Kim.
"Yeah," said Chris, pressing a button and sealing cave. His voice then projected from a loudspeaker in front of them. "According to the interns that returned from here, the only places you can end up are somewhere else in the cave, and the Total Drama Aftermath studio. So, to qualify for season two, the first twenty of you to make it to the Aftermath studio will be competing. Good luck."
"First twenty?" said Kevin, confused. "I thought there only were twenty of us?"
"There are," said Annabeth, equally confused. "Unless Chris has other people in here too."
"But he was only addressing us," said Sabriel. "Wasn't he?"
"I wouldn't be surprised if there other people in this cave," said Ayane. "In any case, we won't get anywhere standing here. I'm going."
"Alone?" asked Draco.
"If anyone else wants to come, they can," said Ayane. "But I won't be slowing down for anyone." And with that, she left.
"Oh, whatever," said Draco, following her
"I'm going with her," said Hit-Girl. "Anyone else can go *beep* themselves." And with that, the three of them left.
"We all better make a move," said Katniss. "Who's coming with me?"
"I'll come," said Light.
"No you won't," said Katniss, raising her fist to strike him again. Light backed off.
"I'm in," said Zidane.
"Me too," said Alice.
"Count me in," said Ash.
"And me," said Kim.
"I'll join you too," said Murtagh.
"Six people? Might be a little much," said Zidane.
"Then let's make a game of it," said Kim. "Boys vs. girls. See who can get outta here first."
"Bring it on," said Ash.
"I'll agree to that," said Murtagh.
"See you ladies when you finish then," said Zidane, leaving with Ash and Murtagh. Katniss, Alice and Kim left too, in the other direction.
"Haruhi," said Finn. "It's my fault that you were eliminated this season. Please, allow me to make it up to you by guiding you safely out of the cave."
"Well, I don't really blame you for it," said Haruhi. "But I guess It would be better to be with someone than wandering around lost forever, so why not?"
"You guys mind if I tag along?" asked Annabeth.
"Sure, okay," said Finn, and the three of them left.
"Dibs on going with Carly," said Kevin.
Carly sighed. "Fine, but that kiss was an accident," she said.
"I can make sure the next one's not," said Kevin.
"I'm not going out there alone," said Rachel. "I'm coming too."
"Guys, knowing Chris, he's probably loaded this place with traps and monsters," said Sabriel. "And no offense, but none of you are really fighters. I've got plenty of training on my side, so I should probably go with you."
"Aren't you pregnant?" asked Carly.
"You think that's gonna slow me down?" said Sabriel. "Come on, let's go."
"Hey, I'm not really a fighter either," said Light. "I should come too."
"No chance in hell," said Sabriel, guiding her team away.
"Well, guess it's just me and you then Bart?" said Light, turning to face him, only to realise that Bart wasn't there. "Bart?" he said. "Bart?" Then Light remembered something. "Wait, where's Wallace?" He shrugged, and began searching for a way out.
Bart had, in fact, slipped away by himself while the others were organising teams. He knew Light was probably going to just mess with him later and keep him from going into season two, so he slipped away before he could notice.
Anyway, Bart was traversing one of the long corridors when he heard someone sneeze. "Who's there?" called Bart.
"Me," came the reply, a male voice Bart hadn't heard.
"Me who?" asked Bart.
"Oh you must be new here," said the voice, and a teenage boy coming out of the shadows. "So kid, what's your name?"
"I'm Bart Simpson. Who the hell are you?" asked Bart.
"Jake Harper," said the kid, who shall henceforth be known as Jake.
"So there are other people in here," said Bart.
"Yeah, that Chris jerk said if I got in the car with him he might give me money," said Jake.
"You got in a car with a complete stranger who promised you money?" asked Bart.
"Yeah. Wouldn't you?" asked Jake.
"Yeah, probably," said Bart. "You don't happen to know a way outta here do you?"
"Why would I be in here if I knew a way out?" asked Jake.
"Okay, well, you're useless," said Bart. "I'm outta here dude."
"Maybe we could work together?" suggested Jake.
"But you don't know where we are," said Bart.
"Neither do you," said Jake.
"Okay, fine. Let's go," said Bart, leading the way further down the path.
Meanwhile, Marty was just waking up somewhere else in the cave, lost and confused. "Hello?" he called. "Anyone there?" Silence for a moment, then Marty heard the sound of a small rock being kicked down a tunnel. "Who's there?" called Marty, facing the direction the sound came from.
"Make way," came the reply, then a skinny guy in a green shirt came charging down the tunnel, colliding with Marty.
"Who are you?" asked Marty.
"The name's Shaggy," said the skinny guy. "And you are?"
"Marty," said Marty.
"So, like, Chris forced you into this too did he?" said Shaggy.
"Well, he did force me to come here, but I chose to compete when I found out about the prize money," said Marty.
"Yeah, and now he's handing out more of it," said Shaggy. "You wanna work together to find a way out?"
"Sure," said Marty, and the two of them walked off in search of an exit.
Meanwhile, Draco, Ayane and Hit-Girl were also traversing the cave. "It's getting darker in here," said Ayane. "Anyone got a light?"
"Right here," said Draco, pulling out his wand. "Lumos." A blinding flash of light illuminated the area, then dulled until the team could keep their eyes open.
"Hey, did you guys hear that?" asked Ayane.
"Are you getting paranoid because we're in a dark cave?" demanded Hit-Girl. "That's pretty *beep* weak for a ninja."
"Shut up," said Draco. "I think I heard it too. Someone, or something, is coming."
All three of them were quiet as something came closer and closer to them. "Who's there?" asked Ayane, drawing her double-edged purple sword.
"Whoa, hey lady, calm the *beep* down," replied a male voice. The speaker then walked into view. "Name's Stiffler," said the newcomer. "And you are?"
"Ayane," said Ayane. "And these are Draco and Hit-Girl."
"So, what, they're your sister and your boyfriend or something?" said Stiffler.
"Pfft, Draco wishes," said Ayane. "And I'm in no way related to Hit-Girl."
"Though you wouldn't know by looking at them," muttered Draco.
"Watch your *beep* mouth, boy," said Hit-Girl.
"Whoa, feisty little one there," said Stiffler.
"That applies to you too *beep*," said Hit-Girl, drawing her knife.
"Hey, calm down supergirl," said Stiffler. "I'm not gonna hurt you."
"I somehow don't think she's worried about that," said Draco.
"Look, I just wanna get outta here, like you," said Stiffler. "So whatcha say? Friends?"
"No," said Ayane. "But you can tag along if you don't piss me off."
"You say that now, but sooner or later you'll come around," said Stiffler.
"Don't push your luck," said Ayane, leaving.
"Frigid *beep*," said Stiffler, following.
Elsewhere, Alice, Katniss and Kim were walking down a path in the cave. "Alice, can you see which way we need to go to get out of here?" asked Kim.
"I tried," said Alice. "But I can't get a reading on anything. Either that's a sign that something bad is going to happen, or Chris as really screwed with this place. And sadly, both options are equally viable."
"Well, it can't be helped," said Katniss. "We should just try and find an exit before the boys."
"Wait, what was that?" asked Alice, spinning around in attack mode. Katniss and Kim followed suit, but heard nothing. "Oh, right, your hearing's not as good as mine," she said.
"Wait, I think I can hear it too," said Katniss.
"Yeah, me too," said Kim, who might have just said that to fit in. But then they all definitely heard it: the sound of footsteps running towards them. However, one of them sounded odd to Alice.
"Does one of them sound metallic to you guys?" she asked.
"It's your hearing again," said Katniss, grabbing an arrow.
The footsteps got closer and closer, until a short blonde figure in a red coat came into view. The figure (a male) saw them, and pulled up short. "Whoa, hey, what's all this about?" he said.
"Friend or foe?" asked Katniss, aiming her bow.
"Friend," he said. "Though then again, why would I admit to being a foe with an arrow aimed at me?"
"Drop it Kat," said Alice. "He's telling the truth."
"Okay," said Katniss, putting her weapon away. "Who are you then?"
"Edward Elric," said the boy. "You know, the Fullmetal Alchemist?"
"Hmm, I already know someone named Edward," said Alice. "Can I call you Steve instead?"
"No," said Edward. "So, can I assume you're more of Chris's victims?"
"Unfortunately," said Kim. "You don't happen to know how to get out of here do you?"
"Nope," said Edward. "This place is so screwed up that half the time I can't even use my alchemy."
"How screwed up exactly?" asked Alice, just as a loud roaring sound came from behind them. All four got battle ready, when the source of the roaring came into view: a large tornado.
"In answer to your question," said Edward. "To the point that, on occasion, random dangerous weather occurs in what is supposed to be an underground cave." Then, as suddenly as it began, the tornado subsided, and a figure fell from the middle of it. The group ran forward to them, and saw a young girl lying on the ground. As Alice was about to check for a pulse, she sat up and looked at them.
"Who are you?" she asked. "And where am I? This doesn't look like Oz."
"You poor thing," said Kim. "I'm Kim, and this is Katniss, Alice and Edward. And you are?"
"Dorothy," said the girl. "Where are we?"
"Some cave that makes you think you're a Morphling," said Katniss.
"Goodness, that sounds dreadful," said Dorothy.
"Don't worry, we're trying to find a way out," said Alice. "Would you like to come with us?"
"Yes, that would be very nice," said Dorothy.
"Should I come too?" asked Edward.
"Sorry, we're kinda doing a girl's only team," said Kim.
"Screw that," said Katniss. "We need all the help we can get. He at least has some idea of what to expect."
"Fair enough," said Alice. "Welcome aboard."
"Okay, so where do we go?" said Edward.
"Who knows with this place?" said Kim. "I say we just head this way and hope for the best." And with that, the group headed off.
And while that was happening, Ash, Murtagh and Zidane were exploring another part of the cave when Zidane heard something. "Do you guys hear that?" he whispered.
"Yeah," said Murtagh. "It sounds like there's someone up ahead."
"I think there might be two of them," said Zidane.
"What are we waiting for? Let's check it out," said Ash, starting forward before being stopped by Murtagh.
"We don't know if they're friendly or not," said Murtagh. "Zidane, do you think you can get close enough to check?"
"No problem," said Zidane, soundlessly heading into the darkness. Murtagh and Ash waited for several minutes, then Zidane returned. "Don't worry, they look harmless enough," said Zidane. "It's just a couple of girls."
"I'm surprised you're not still over there hitting on them," said Ash.
"Whatever, let's go," said Murtagh, leading the way to them. The two girls came into view soon, one looked about eleven, the about fourteen, though there was something odd about the older one . . .
"Hey baby, is heaven missing an angel?" said Zidane, sidling up to the older girl. She jumped back in shock at the sudden arrival of the boys.
"Worst pickup line ever," said the girl.
"No, seriously, you have freakin' wings," said Zidane, indicating the two wings extending from her shoulders.
"And you've got a tail," said the girl. "Have the Whitecoats started creating monkey-kids now?"
"As far as I'm aware, Garland never wore white," said Zidane.
Murtagh cleared his throat and stepped forward. "I believe introductions are in order," he said.
At this, the younger girl jumped up. "Yes, my name is Lyra," she said, before the older girl covered her mouth.
"Lyra, I told you, we can't just trust everyone we meet straight away," said the older girl.
"Why not? You could totally kick their butts if you needed to," said Lyra.
"Three on one? I don't think so," said the older girl.
"We don't mean to harm you," said Ash. "I'm Ash, and this is Zidane and Murtagh."
"Come on Max, we need help if we're going to get out of here," said Lyra.
"Lyra," scorned Max.
"So, Max then," said Ash. "I already know a Max. Can I call you Steph instead?"
"No," said Max.
"Don't worry Max," said Murtagh. "As my companion said, we mean you no harm. We're just as lost in here as you are."
"Come on, let's help each other," said Zidane, extending his hand to the girls. Lyra took it immediately. Max looked him uncertainly.
"Come on Max. They won't hurt us," said Lyra.
Max sighed heavily. "I guess I don't have a choice," she said, following them as they continued up the tunnel.
Elsewhere in the cave, Annabeth, Finn and Haruhi had run into trouble.
"What the hell is that thing?" said Haruhi, back away from a large monster approaching them.
"I don't know, and I don't intend to find out," said Annabeth, drawing her knife.
"Alright, let's do this," said Finn, bringing out his sword. Finn charged at the beast, ducked under one of its swiping claws, swinging his sword around to slash it. The beast howled, which was when Annabeth ran in and stabbed its foot. The beast roared again, and knocked Annabeth over with its uninjured claw, disarming her. "Annabeth," called Finn, running to her aid. The beast swiped again, and Finn went down too.
The monster rose above them, about to finish them off, when its left arm was jerked back. It looked over its shoulder at something, and roared as whom or whatever was behind it jerked its right arm back too. The creature fell backwards, landing hard on its back, revealing a young man behind it, with some kind of string coming from his hands. He then proceeded to continue spraying to monster with this string until it was completely stuck to the wall.
"Thanks man," said Finn, getting up. "You saved our lives. What's your name?"
"Name's Peter Parker," said the new guy. "And you are?"
"I'm Finn," said Finn. "And the girls are Annabeth and Haruhi."
"Pleasure," said Peter. "It's always nice to meet more of Chris's captors."
Annabeth walked up to the monster and took a closer look at the string Peter had fired at it. "Are these . . . spider webs?" she asked, confused.
"How would you react if I said yes?" asked Peter.
"I'd scream my head off and run away," said Annabeth.
"Then no, they're not," said Peter.
"Then what are they?" asked Annabeth.
"I'm not sure that matters," said Haruhi. "Look." The four of them looked at the monster, and saw it was starting to escape its bonds. "We have to go. Now." And with those words, the four of them turned tail and ran.
While they were fleeing from that monster, Sabriel was fighting a different one. "Guys, cover your ears," she said, and draw her sixth largest bell: Saraneth the Binder. She rang the bell, and the monster stopped where it was. "Monster, you are to enter Death, and travel beyond the ninth gate, never to return to the living." The monster fought her for a moment, but couldn't resist the pull of her command, and soon disappeared into Death.
"Whoa, that was awesome," said Kevin, uncovering his ears.
"Don't celebrate yet," said Rachel. "I think there's another coming." Sure enough, they all heard the heavy footsteps of another monster.
"Guys, I can't keep fighting these things," said Sabriel. "We've gotta get outta here. I don't wanna be in the middle of fighting one of these, then finding out another has snuck up on us and is attacking you, especially when I can't even cast a Diamond of Protection."
"Speaking of one sneaking up on us," said Carly, and then she screamed as a second one came up from the opposite direction.
"We're trapped," said Rachel.
"Well, I guess this is it," said Kevin. "Carly, one last kiss before we go?"
"No," said Carly.
The two monsters closed in on them, preparing for the kill. The four contestants backed away as far as they could. This sentence is here to draw out the suspense. Then they heard a girl's voice, though they couldn't understand what it was saying. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos," she said, and suddenly the two monsters were encased in some kind of black bubble. The black bubble was then hurled down the corridor, revealing a girl in gothic superhero clothes standing there.
"Woo, you just saved us," said Carly. "Who are you?"
"Raven," she said. "And I assume Chris brought you here too."
"Who else?" said Sabriel.
"We have to go," said Raven. "I've gotten rid of those things for now, but they won't stay down for long."
"You don't need to tell me twice," said Kevin, heading down the corridor away from where the monsters were just flung.
Finally, Light was casually strolling down the corridor when he found her. She was just leaning against a wall, and seemed to be waiting for someone. "So, you're here now," she said.
"Have we met?" asked Light.
"Before now, no," said the girl, coming up to meet him. "Katherine Merteuil. And if I'm not mistaken, you're Light Yagami."
"Apparently my reputation precedes me," said Light. "How may I ask do you know me, given that I assume Chris has had you imprisoned in here for a while?"
"Chris has kept some of us well informed of the happenings of the outside world," said Katherine. "I'm one of the lucky few he has selected for that. But now's not the time to talk of that. Come."
"Where? Do you know the way out of here?" asked Light.
"Of course," said Katherine. "As I said, I'm one of Chris's chosen ones, one of the ones he wants to make it into the next season."
"And you're helping me because?" inquired Light.
"You're smart, confident and manipulative," said Katherine. "Unfortunately, everyone is on to you now. You won't last past your first elimination ceremony. I, on the other hand, can convince everyone to keep you on, no matter what. And when we make it to the final two, we compete in fair competition, and split the winnings between us. How does that sound?"
"Very suspect," said Light. "Seriously, you expect me to buy that crap? I said that to half the cast this season."
"I know," said Katherine. "But does that make it impossible that I'm being serious when I offer this?"
"No," said Light. "Though it would make you stupid if you thought you could trust me."
"I guess we're at an impasse then," said Katherine. "I honestly thought you'd believe me. I thought long and hard about whether I could trust you, and even turned to Jesus for guidance." As she said this, she pulled a necklace out from under her shirt, a cross on the end of it.
Confession Cam: Light
"A good Christian girl, who clearly just finds me attractive and thinks she can help me win. Exactly the sort of person who would fall for anything I tell her. Wait a minute, where'd this Confession Cam come from?"
Meanwhile, Team Katniss was in trouble.
"What the hell are these things?" said Edward, bring out his double ended sword.
"I don't know, and I don't intend to find out," said Katniss, bow in hand. "Dorothy, stay back, unless you think you can these things on."
"They're all yours," said Dorothy as the other four charged the monsters.
Alice climbed on one of the monster's back, and sank her teeth into its neck. She very quickly drained it of blood, and it fell to the ground. Kim did a wall-kick off the wall and struck one in the face. Unfortunately, it didn't affect the monster much, and it simply swatted her away.
"Nice distraction Kim," said Edward, charging in with his sword and cutting its leg.
"Yeah, distraction," said Kim, getting up to make another attack.
Katniss pulled back on her bow, and let an arrow fly right into one of the monster's eyes. The monster shrieked in fury, and fell back into the wall hard. The vibration from the monster hitting the wall caused several rocks to fall from the roof, and the vibration from those rocks falling caused more rocks to fall, causing . . .
"Cave-in," yelled Katniss. "Everyone, get out now." As she said this, Edward, Alice and Kim ran past her. Katniss looked over her shoulder to find Dorothy still there, her leg trapped under a large rock. Katniss ran back to help her, lifting the rock off her. "Run," she yelled, dragging her to her feet. Dorothy didn't need to be told twice. She ran past Katniss and joined the other three. Katniss was about to join them when a large rock fell right in front of her, blocking her way.
"KATNISS!" yelled Dorothy, running back to the rock and trying to move it herself.
"There's nothing we can do," said Alice. "These tunnels keep changing. By the time we get past it, she'll be gone."
"Wait a sec," said Kim. "Didn't you say your future seeing powers weren't working?"
"Yeah . . ." said Alice, confused. "Maybe we're near the exit. Hold on." Alice's face went blank for a minute. "There," she said, pointing at a nearby wall. Without waiting for the others, she touched it and suddenly disappeared. When she opened her eyes next, she was in the Total Drama Aftermath studio with Chris looking down at her.
"We have our first contestant for season two," said Chris, just as Edward, Kim and Dorothy fell through a hole above Alice, landing on her. "We also have our second, third and fourth contestants."
"What about Katniss?" demanded Dorothy.
"What about her?" asked Chris apathetically.
"Is she alive?" asked Kim.
"Maybe. I don't know or care," said Chris. "The only way you'll find out is if she's one of the next sixteen contestants through that hole."
"You're a *beep*," said Edward.
"I know," said Chris. "But now, let's see how your other friends are doing." As he said this, Chris turned on the giant TV, which started showing footage of Marty and Shaggy.
The two boys were walking down one of the tunnels when they heard a roar of a monster. "Zoinks, like, please tell me that was your stomach Marty," said Shaggy.
"Not unless it has an amplifier," said Marty. The two of them turned around to see a large monster right behind them.
"ZOINKS!" yelled Shaggy, jumping into Marty's arms. Marty seemed to run on the spot for a moment, then took off before the monster could crush them in its claws. Marty ran as fast as he could, the monster trailing behind him. He was so focused on getting away from the monster, he didn't notice the low doorway until it was too late. His head slammed into it hard, throwing him backwards and Shaggy forwards. The monster grabbed the unconscious Marty and dragged him back into the darkness.
Shaggy, on the other hand, fell through the floor he was meant to land on, right into the Total Drama Aftermath studio.
"Our fifth competitor," said Chris.
"But Marty . . ." started Shaggy.
"Is probably already dead," said Chris. "Let's see what everyone else is doing." He turned back to the TV, now showing Ash, Lyra, Max, Murtagh and Zidane.
Zidane was leading the group, looking around in front of them for a way out. "It's hopeless," he said. "I can't find anything in here."
"You can do it Zidane," said Ash. "No-one has thief instincts quite like yours. If anyone can find an exit, it's you."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence," said Zidane. "But this cave is just so screwed up. We'd probably fall through the floor before I can detect it."
"Pfft, like that would ever happen," said Max.
"It would be a pretty lame plot twist if the writer decided to do that," said Lyra.
"Umm, guys," said Murtagh, indicating the floor. Sure enough, it had vanished from beneath their feet, and they were suddenly falling.
Max opened her wings, slowing her fall, before looking for the others falling around her. Quickly, she dived to grab Lyra, then grabbed Ash who was right next to her. Before she could grab Zidane or Murtagh, they had stopped falling, and had in fact landed in the Aftermath studio.
"Contestants six through ten have arrived," said Chris.
"Hey, where's Katniss?" asked Zidane upon noticing Alice and Kim.
"She . . . didn't make it," said Alice.
"So . . . does that mean boys win?" asked Zidane.
"ZIDANE!" came the angry reply from Alice, Ash, Dorothy, Edward, Kim, Lyra, Max and Murtagh.
"Sorry," said Zidane.
"And now, let's see what else is happening," said Chris as the TV began showing Ayane, Draco, Hit-Girl and Stiffler.
"Come on, you can't honestly say you haven't thought about it," said Stiffler.
"Yes, I can," said Draco. "No matter how many times you say it, I haven't thought about Ayane in that capacity."
"You're kidding," said Stiffler. "Seriously, have you seen those puppies? They're like a *beep* you to physics."
"Watch your mouth *beep*face," said Ayane.
Stiffler leaned in closer to Draco. "You're not admitting to it because she can hear you right now aren't you?" he whispered to him.
"No," said Draco, frustrated.
"And by the way, I can still hear you," said Ayane.
"So what, you're into the kid?" said Stiffler.
"He better *beep* not be," said Hit-Girl.
"Feisty little thing aren't you?" said Stiffler.
"I will *beep* you with a chainsaw *beep*nose," said Hit-Girl.
Draco was about to reply, when suddenly he stopped. "Guys, do you hear that too?" he asked.
"We've got company," said Ayane, drawing her sword.
"Can we trade this company for Stiffler?" asked Hit-Girl, pulling out a knife.
The party waited as a monster appeared from the darkness. "Pretty sure Stiffler is far less dangerous than this thing," said Ayane, charging at it.
"I still choose it over him," said Hit-Girl, running forward too.
Draco was about draw his wand when Stiffler grabbed him. "Now's our chance to make a break for it," he said.
"Actually, I'd rather stay and help them," said Draco.
"Come on buddy, what's the point of hanging out with chicks if you don't wanna *beep* them?" asked Stiffler, dragging Draco away.
"Hey, what the? Let me go," said Draco, trying to get away. Draco pulled hard, and the two of them fell forward, and through the floor. They fell a short distance, and landed in the Aftermath studio.
"Welcome contestants eleven and twelve," said Chris.
"See, look at that buddy," said Stiffler. "We get to compete together next season."
"I *beep* hate you," said Draco.
"Now, what else is happening in there?" asked Chris, the TV displaying Bart and Jake.
"You can't honestly believe we'll find a way out," said Jake.
"Relax, we'll find it," said Bart.
"How?" asked Jake.
"By sheer luck," said Bart.
"Wow, somehow I ended up paired with the one person stupider than me," said Jake. "And somehow, I'm smart enough to realise it."
"Hey man, I've foiled a criminal genius like a dozen times," said Bart.
"Can't have been much of a genius," said Jake.
"Fine, if you're so smart, you find a way out of here by yourself," said Bart. "I'm outta here." Bart turned around and started looking for an exit.
"Fine," said Jake. "How hard can it be?" Jake headed in the opposite direction to Bart, and suddenly fell down into a pit. When he landed, he looked around to find himself in the Aftermath studio.
"Congratulations, you're the thirteenth competitor to arrive," said Chris.
"Huh, that was easy," said Jake.
"Much easier than how these guys are finding it," said Chris, turning back to the screen. It was now showing Carly, Kevin, Rachel, Raven and Sabriel, the two latter ones fighting a monster while the former three cowered behind them.
"What the hell are these things?" asked Sabriel.
"Demons, created by Chris's greed," said Raven.
"Wow, he's so greedy he has actually created his own demons?" asked Rachel.
"You can't really be surprised by that," said Carly.
"Touché," said Rachel.
"Uh, guys?" said Kevin. "We got company."
"I know, and we're taking care of it," said Sabriel.
"No, I mean more company," said Kevin, indicating another monster behind them. The monster roared, and reached out to the three non-fighters. It grabbed Rachel and Kevin, dragging them into the darkness.
"NO!" shrieked Sabriel, beheading the first monster. It faded into nothingness, leaving no sign it had ever been there. "Raven, you get Carly out of here. I'm going to save Rachel and Kevin."
"Aren't you pregnant?" asked Raven.
"Yeah, but I'd rather take my chances with the monster than face another season of Chris's torture," said Sabriel, running after the monster.
"Fair enough," said Raven. "Come Carly, hopefully there's an exit nearby."
"Uh, Raven?" said Carly. "My hand goes through this wall." Carly placed her hand on the wall, which passed through like it was an illusion. "You think this is an exit?"
"One way to find out," said Raven, grabbing Carly and jumping through. The two of them floated for a moment, then softly landed on the stage of the Aftermath studio.
"Fifteen down, five to go," said Chris. "Let's see whose next." The TV then cut to a shot of Annabeth, Finn, Haruhi and Peter. The group was fleeing from the monster they fought earlier.
"I'm pretty sure it's gaining on us," said Haruhi.
"Guys, keep going," said Finn, drawing his sword. "I'll keep it busy."
"Not alone you won't," said Annabeth.
"Yes, alone I will," said Finn. "I swore I'd make it up to Haruhi for getting her eliminated . . ."
"I never asked you to do that," said Haruhi.
"And now, I will," said Finn. "I will sacrifice myself to save her."
"Finn, you don't . . ." started Haruhi, but Finn had already turned around and started charging at the monster. He managed to slice it under the jaw, but then it grabbed his arm in its teeth. It swung him around a few times, hitting the wall a few times, which caused the tunnel to cave in, blocking their view of him.
"FINN!" yelled Peter, who tried to dislodge some of the rocks.
"It's no use," said Annabeth. "This place is like the Labyrinth. It'll keep changing, so that when you get through he'll be gone . . ." Annabeth trailed off for a moment, then her face lit up. "Wait a sec. Haruhi, you're a regular mortal. You can lead us out."
"Huh?" said Peter.
"Oh, I remember," said Haruhi. "Demigods got lost in the Labyrinth, but certain mortals could guide them easily."
"Exactly," said Annabeth. "What do you say?"
"I say . . . we go this way," said Haruhi, walking into a wall and disappearing. Annabeth and Peter looked at each other and shrugged, then followed after her. The next thing they knew, they were falling towards her lying on the floor. Haruhi barely had enough times to roll out of the way before they landed.
"Eighteen," said Chris. "Only two more spots available. Will it go to these people?" The TV started showing Katherine and Light, casually strolling down a corridor.
"Look at that," said Katherine, pointing ahead of them to a large portal leading to the Aftermath studio.
"Well, looks like they almost have a full cast," said Light. "Do you think they have enough room for us?"
"I guess there's only one way to find out," said Katherine. "But before we go Light, there's something I've wanted to say to you."
"What is it Kathy?" asked Light.
"Ever since Chris first showed me all the footage of you competing in the show, I've kinda had a crush on you," said Katherine.
"Really?" asked Light.
"You're smart, you're confident, you're beautiful," said Katherine. "It's everything I've always wanted in a man."
"So no more," said Light, leaning in to kiss her. Katherine leaned forward too, then slammed her knee into Light's chest. Light gasped in surprise, then Katherine slammed her elbow into his temple, knocking him out.
"You lost the show," said Katherine. "And I don't date losers. By the way, don't call me Kathy." And with that, she walked through the portal into the Aftermath studio.
"Nineteen," said Chris. "Now, who will be . . ." As Chris said this, some kind of green monster came out the portal Katherine just came from. Upon closer inspection, it was . . .
"Ezekiel?" said Chef.
"Huh, so that's where he got to," said Chris. "Well, I guess we have our cast then . . ."
"What about me?" said someone, and everyone present turned to see . . .
"Wallace?" asked Chris. "When did you get here?"
"I've literally been here the whole time you have," said Wallace. "In fact, I've been here longer than you. I just got on the bus and came straight here."
"But you didn't go through the cave," said Chris. "Therefore, you don't qualify."
"Go back to page one of this chapter," said Wallace. "You said, and I quote, 'so, to qualify for season two, the first twenty of you to make it to the Aftermath studio will be competing.' You never said I had to go through the cave to get here."
Chris went back eleven pages to check his words. "Huh, he's right," said Chris. "Which means . . ." Chris picked up Ezekiel, and threw him back through the portal, which closed up after him. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have our competitors for season two, Total Drama Worlds Collide."
"But what about everyone still in the cave?" asked Carly.
"Yes, Worlds Collide," said Chris, ignoring her. "Watch, or rather, read, as we traverse across different worlds to compete in even more gruelling challenges."
"That doesn't answer my question," said Carly.
"It doesn't have to," said Chris. "Now, let's go." As he said this, a portal opened up, sucking the cast through on the way to their first challenge of season two.
