"I knew it!" Emily squealed as they re-entered the house, her hands holding tightly, spinning round and jumping up and down with excitement. "I KNEW IT!"

"See, what did we tell you?" Chesney says with a smile.

"Thanks guys" Cindy says sheepishly, slightly taken back by all the praise and attention. She hoped, but didn't really believe their comments, said with such confidence. She shruged it off with a smile, but now, seeing that they were right just made everything else she was once afraid of seem wrong. West grabbed her from behind, spinning her around. Cindy kicked and screeched manically, laughing and feeling everything hit her all at once. The pair fell onto the sofa, and West kept his arms around her small waist and they lay there, grinning slightly. West kissed Cindy's cheek and smiled.

"You did it" he breathed "And no one deserved it more."

Ollie sits on one of the chairs outside the booth, staring down blankly at the lyrics, trying to find some inspiration to carry on. He thought everything would be better now, that this would solve all of his problems, but it's just reminded him of all he's lost. Ollie glances up and sees Pierce and Jack laughing, carefree, talking about the cheese lamp like it really matters.

Do they not miss home or anything they've left behind? Seems like Jack's moved on from Jenna pretty easy. God, do they not even care? Some friends they are.

Ollie thinks bitterly, crossing his legs before turning his attention back on pretending to care. All the fight he had, the joy, had just been sucked out from him, leaving this hollow shell, filled with regret and the past. He missed home. He missed seeing his smile, her laugh, their kind eyes. But no one could know yet. It just hurt so badly, it was killing him, suffocating him slowly from the inside. He'd stopped eating and barely slept, just thinking, remembering, regretting. And, to add to it, there was Chesney. He didn't know how he felt about her-truly- and couldn't decide whether what he thought was truth or lies, that he was deceiving himself to fill the hole in his heart. Ollie sighed. Had he used her? No, he couldn't do that. She was sweet, and beautiful, talented too, but they barely knew each other. Rebecca was his soul mate, even if she didn't know yet. But this wasn't really about these childish lovegames, it was about his son. He thought back to that glee episode where Sue talked about an invisible tether tying to people together, and he had that, but he could just feel it breaking, fraying and, at this rate, it wouldn't be long until it broke and he fell into nothingness, with nothing left to lose.

"Ollie, you're up" Nicki says warmly, and he just stands and follows her into the booth without looking back.

Stay- Rihanna lyrics

West: All along it was a fever
A cold sweat hot-headed believer

Chesney: I threw my hands in the air, said, "Show me something,"
He said, "If you dare, come a little closer."

Ace: Round and around and around and around we go

Emily: Oh now, tell me now, tell me now, tell me now you know.

Ollie: Not really sure how to feel about it.
Something in the way you move

Cindy: Makes me feel like I can't live without you.
It takes me all the way.

West, Chesney, Ace, Emily, Ollie and Cindy: I want you to stay

Pierce: It's not much of a life you're living
It's not just something you take–it's given

Jaia: Round and around and around and around we go

Ace: Oh now, tell me now, tell me now, tell me now you know.

Jack: Not really sure how to feel about it.
Something in the way you move

Cindy: Makes me feel like I can't live without you.
It takes me all the way.

Pierce, Jaia, Ace, Jack and Cindy: I want you to stay.

Emily:Ooh, ooh, ooh,

Ace and Chesney: the reason I hold on

Emily:Ooh, ooh, ooh,

Jack and Penny: 'cause I need this hole gone

Pierce and Cindy: Funny you're the broken one but I'm the only one who needed saving

Jaia and West:'Cause when you never see the light it's hard to know which one of us is caving.

Emily and Ollie: Not really sure how to feel about it.
Something in the way you move

Jack and Penny: Makes me feel like I can't live without you.
It takes me all the way.

Cindy:I want you to stay, stay.

All: I want you to stay

Emily: Heey, hey

"Hey Chesney, you ready?" Nicki asks, and Chesney nods, slipping her headphones onto her head. Even though she's wanting to do well, she can't help but let her mind wonder back to Ollie, who took a long time in the booth and has just gone straight home, mumbling something about being back for choreography. Ever since the beginning of the week, something had been... off about him, like he wasn't himself. She would ask, but she didn't want to overstep her boundaries, and anyway, he's always off on his own, shutting everyone out.

And it's all my fault. Chesney thinks, The one time I think I might be okay, I go and ruin it by coming on too strong. Love sucks. Life sucks and then you die. Wow... my mind's depressing.

"Chesney" Nikki snaps, and Chesney looks at her, perplexed. "You missed your cue." Chesney's hands fly to her mouth.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I-"

"It's okay" Nikki sighs, not wanting to hear any of it. "Run it again please" She orders, frustrated. Chesney's cheeks turn pink as she records her lines, feeling embarrassed. When she finishes, she leaves the complex and flags a cab, directing them back to campus. But, as they drive, she sees a tall figure walking in the rain. She calls the driver to stop and the car rolls to a stop. She quickly pays the driver and stumbles out of the car, pulling her baby pink umbrella from her bag and opens it up, almost hitting Ollie in the back.

"Watch it!" He snaps, before quickening his walking pace, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Ollie!" She calls, running behind him. He glances round slightly and hesitates, but continues walking. "Ollie!" She repeats. "Look I'm sorry!" She shouts, and Ollie turns around, frustrated.

"Yeah, so am I! I'm sorry that you thought me being polite was a sign that I liked you, when nothing will ever be able to happen between us!" Chesney stumbles backwards, mouth open, a sob caught in her throat.

"Wh...wh.." She chokes, feeling like an idiot. Ollie's expression falls as he walks over to her, putting his hand out to touch her. "Don't touch me!" She orders, taking a few steps back. "How could you lead me on like that?"

"I... I didn't mean to, I just... I'm toxic Chesney, and you're just gonna end up getting hurt. I can't commit right now, I'm in an awkward position and I don't want to hurt anyone."

"Well you've hurt me, so I guess you've failed. Goodbye Ollie, I can't believe I thought I loved you. But it's over now, good luck." Chesney pushes past him and runs down the street, fading into the mist. And all Ollie can do is watch her go, feeling lonelier than ever before.

I know it's short, but I just wanted to focus on the Chesney/Ollie situation this chapter. Hope you enjoyed it, please r and r! xx
