(Chapter Forty Six: Lost, then Found, then Lost Again)

Kayla and I shared the same thought "oh, no!"

"Kayla!" I screamed and enveloped her in one of the hardest hugs I've ever given.

"I've missed you too my friend" she said patting my head, I let go of her and stood back, she hadn't changed a bit.

"Where in the hell have you been?"

"I should be asking' that question to you" she said with a gentle smile

"Everywhere" I said with a sigh of exasperation, there was a short pause "If you're here...where are the others?"

"Somewhere in the town...some man told us to run away but, you know me...never one to run" she said with a small giggle, her eyes sparkled in the moon light.

"So, that...that was Jack.." I said hopelessly, getting that empty feeling back in my insides.

"You never know...that could've been him sailing away from Singapore, or, he could still be here, somewhere in town" she said staring at me, there was a brief pause.

"How did you get here?"

"You know those lights?" she asked

"Yes"

"That was how I found you" she said with a half smile "they were trackers...I sent them to track you and take you to wherever I am" she added.

"So that's how I got here so fast!" I cried, slapping my knee, having an epiphany. My brows furrowed and I turned to her "no, no that's getting off of my question...how did you get to Singapore?" I asked

"The Black Pearl...like the others" she answered.

*We decided to look for the others when it was daylight so we headed to my ship The Purple Gun and clocked in for the night.

*I woke up to find Kayla out of her bed and getting dressed, so, following her lead, I did the same. I ordered my crew to keep looking for the Pirate Lords or their ships, then, Kayla and I set off in search of anyone who was on the Black Pearl to prove that Jack's crew was still here. First, we tried the bar again.

Nothing.

Then, we went to the sword shop The Half Mast.

Nothing.

Then, we tried all the restaurants/ sleeping places.

Nothing.

I was giving up hope when we heard the calling for the gallows (people who were going to be hanged). I didn't pay any attention to the names, but, Kayla and I shared the same thought "oh, no!" We bolted from our seats on the poles of the dock and headed straight for Main Street, running as fast as our legs could carry us. When we arrived, a crowd had collected, I scanned the people to be hanged but found no Pirate Lords. Thankfully!

I put my hands on my knees to breathe, but when I looked up everyone was staring at me. Someone was screaming "That's her! She's the pirate!" It was the man from the magic shop! Soon, guards ran down from the platform and headed straight for me!

I let out a scream and high-tailed it in the opposite direction, Kayla running not far behind and the guards not far behind her. I lead us into the most busy part of town so Kayla and I had a chance at losing the guards, but they stuck with us. Soon, my legs felt like they did when I was trying to swim in the current. Suddenly, my foot didn't feel ground and I fell down a hole and hit water, I pulled my head up to find that I was in a dark tunnel, I looked up and saw sunlight. I glanced to my left and right but saw nothing but darkness.

I looked down and saw a steady slow flow of water. Not long afterwards I got a whiff of old food, and human excrement. I was in the sewer. "Great" I growled sarcastically hauling myself up.

(Chapter Forty Seven: On Trial)

"I think she disippeared into thin air!" One of them said in a hushed tone.

The smell of human excrement no longer bothered my nose, it was the darkness that was getting to me. I had my pistol out incase I ran into a guard or someone of that sort. I heard something making a sloshing sound, I cocked my pistol and held it at firing range, I turned a curved corner only to find a few fat rats. I relaxed and put my pistol down, but, scared the rats away, for good measure. I didn't hear anything after I scared the rats away.

I kept walking in the direction I assumed was north and began thinking. How great of a situation am I in? I just now found my best friend and now she's probably facing the gallows, I'm stuck in a sewer, the love of my life is nowhere to be found, the other Pirate Lords have disappeared off the grid (except for Ching he's in Tortuga), oh, and I have to kill Davy Jones, all while I'm doing this I have to avoid being killed by Blackbeard and Adam! This is the hardest trial I've ever faced! Braking my train of thought, were some voices.

These voices were talking about the trial of Captain Jack Sparrow!

Apparently, that wasn't Jack on the ship and the ship wasn't the Black Pearl at all! The voices said that he would be tried with Kayla and they had also found Barbossa! Oh, what a day this is turning out to be! Worry spread across my face. I listened closer for more information, apparently I was directly under a wing of a castle!

The maids were gossiping about them, that's who I heard! (someone walked by and called them maids) they also told one another about me, "I think she disappeared into thin air!" One of them said in a hushed tone.

"No, no! She obviously used the magic of Calypso to put her back on her own ship!...Didn't you hear? She and the other Pirate Lords raised Calypso! So, Calypso, in thanks, gave her a sword with the stone of Rasputin in it!

Making her the undefeatable!" The other one said, hearing Kayla called Calypso made me think of the gifts she gave me...so I clutched the necklace she took from her jewelry box and looked upward only to find...a way out..

*Coincidence? Maybe. But, I took my chances with the blabber mouth maids and pushed open a heavy, iron door, ripping some type of carpet. I heard gasps when I came out.

"Morning ladies! Best not be spreading rumors, I hope!" I said pulling my sword out of its holster and smiling. One maid was skinny with medium, blond hair in a bonnet with muddy, brown eyes and the other was chubby with short, red hair and glowing green eyes; the chubby one fainted on the skinny one, crushing her. I gave a giggle and ran toward the trial room.

I crept through the castle with cat-like sneakiness, but, all too soon I ran into an unlucky maid. I took her clothes and put mine into a bag I found and carried the bag with me (the bag also held my pistol and cutlass, it was a tight fit). I was speed walking through the castle when a man approached me, he looked about my age, maybe a year or two older, he had short, brown hair and gentle brown eyes. He was wearing a white shirt with a big golden X on it and he wore military ranks. He also wore brown trousers and black, buckled shoes.

"Ah, you must be the new maid!" He said cheerfully "well, we are about to start the trail of the pirate Captain Jack Sparrow, and I see you've come to watch" he said with a smile, I nodded. "Well, then" he said, taking up my left arm and leading me into the trial room, he made me sit next to him and what I thought were his parents. "I know you're supposed to sit over there, but we can make an exception...after all, I am the prince" he said with a laugh, I put on a fake smile and looked over to the platform to see Jack's body with a bag over his head and Kayla's body with a bag over her head. I gripped the outline of my pistol when I saw the judge enter, when he sat down I couldn't believe my eyes...a smile spread across my face.

(Chapter Forty Eight: Guilty of Being Innocent of Being Jack Sparrow)

Five by five" I said forcing myself up..

I couldn't believe who I saw! Jack was dressed as the judge! I giggled a little, but if it was his only way to be free...hell, I'm in a maid's outfit! I shouldn't be laughing at him! I retained composure when a serious question came into thought.

Who's dressed like Captain Jack Sparrow?

My mind buzzed as I tried to come up with an answer, but I couldn't. "Order!" Jack yelled and all the people calmed down, "now, we are here for the trial of Captain Jack Sparrow" he said.

"And don't forget the wench!" someone yelled, gaining laughter and yells of appreciation from the rest of the crowd.

"Bloody awful how they address a woman here" I growled to myself.

"Ah, yes, the woman" Jack added then someone came up behind the said 'Jack Sparrow' and removed the bag.

It was Gibbs!

"I keep telling' ya I'm not Captain Jack Sparrow! I'm Joshame Gibbs!" he yelled, his eyes were wide and frantic.

"Oh, shut it!" Jack yelled at him "has the jury reached a verdict?" Jack asked, picking up the gavel.

"Yes, guilty, your honor" a man said standing up.

"And what be the punishment for guilty?" Jack asked.

"Hanged, your honor" the man answered, Jack then said something I couldn't make out.

"Master Gibbs, you are here by guilty of being innocent, of being Jack Sparrow, there will be no hanging and you will serve in the jail for the rest of your days" Jack declared then swung the gavel down, finalizing his word. The crowd was in an uproar, they were throwing whatever they could at Jack, good thing he got out of there quick. I automatically stood up and speed-walked through the people. Then, I realized Kayla or whoever was dressed like Kayla wasn't on the platform any longer.

*I ran down the hallway Jack walled down, but he wasn't there "damnit!" I growled and ran outside where I saw his red bandanna flowing in the wind as he was on-top of a coach, trying to outrun guards. Gibbs was in the coach underneath. I soon rid myself of my maid costume and put back on my pirate clothes. There was no way I would make it up to him on foot, so, I stole a coach filled with coal and tried to catch up with him.

"Yah!" I yelled and snapped the rains, there were lit oil lamps on either side of me and the original runner was still on the coach with me. The guards soon caught up to me "Hey, mate! Can you drive?" I asked the original runner and handed him the rains as I clashed swords with one of the guards. Gaining the attention of Jack and Gibbs.

"Hey, Captain Brittney!" Gibbs yelled I quickly looked at him, flashed as smile, then got back to the fight. After I beat the guard I got a closer look at their coach. Kayla was sitting next to Gibbs and Jack was still riding smoothly on-top.

"Mate, can you get any closer?" I asked, the original runner nodded and got me within six feet of them. "Run me beside them!" I ordered and he did as I told him, because, apparently everyone in Singapore knows who Captain Brittney Turner is.

"Jack!" I yelled in delight as we pulled up next to them.

"Love!" he yelled back and struggled to balance on the coach.

"Why don't you go in?" I asked then he looked at me, smiled, and swung inside his coach. I smiled, then one of the guard's coaches that had been following me rammed into the back of us. I cried out as I fell forward on to coal.

"Brittney, are you alright?" Kayla yelled over to me.

"Five by five" I said forcing myself up to fight the oncoming guard. Finally, I smiled, pushed the original runner off, and broke the oil lamp which made the coal light on fire, then I let the back go, letting out a hail storm of hot flaming coals...
