Chapter Eighteen:
I had woken up in a sweat, it was the same vision over and over. It was getting frustrating that I wasn't sleeping well. To say in the least, I was crabby. It was Saturday, I had been invited to hang out with everyone again but opted not to go, instead I made my way to Trista's apartment.
She invited me in, we started to talk about the vision again.
"I have no clue Rei, I have been trying everything but just nothing. I'm so sorry." She apologized. I nodded and sighed, these things were always tricky.
"Have you told the others?" I asked her.
"No. I don't plan to, it's not my call to make. I do have some more news though, I got a bit more to the vision this time."
I looked at her in shock, this was interesting.
"Well?" I asked after a few seconds, she smiled at me.
"It's not just you who is meant to die, your friends do too."
She informed me, I dropped the cup I was currently holding. It was empty and it was plastic, good thing too. I looked at her with wide eyes.
"What could this mean?"
"Could mean it is the end for the Sailor Scouts."

I made my way to the park by the lake, just looking at the water. Trista's words were going through my head, again and again.
Could mean it is the end for the Sailor Scouts.
I tried to shake the words, they didn't disappear.
"Earth to Rei?!" I felt a hand clamp down onto my shoulder, I looked up into Serena's eyes.
"Whatcha doing?" she asked, taking a seat next to me.
"I haven't been sleeping well. Just a change of scenery is all." I smiled at her. She nodded.
"So you missed out today, I did well with the blading." She informed, being proud of herself. I smiled, looking at the water still.
"That's great Serena."
She laughed, telling me all about the battle. I listened, smiling. At least she is better than me.
"Kai said you should give it another go." She nudged me and wriggled her eyebrows. Getting at something. I shoved her, getting embarrassed.
"Shove off it Serena, we are just friends."
"Yeah friends who like each other and have already kissed." She made kissy lips at me. I went bright red, not sure of what to say. I was the one who kissed him.
"Spill it! You like him!"
She kept on nudging me and telling me to spill it, I cracked.
"Fine, I like him. Happy?" I asked all annoyed. Way to be embarrassed by one of my best friends. She started to sing the stupid 'Rei and Kai sitting in a tree' song, I face-palmed. She hadn't given up as we made our way to the café we usually go. Andrew's sister should be on and she has a new boyfriend so this should make for interesting conversation. We took our normal booth at the back, I ordered an ice tea and Serena ordered a milkshake, large fries, a burger and an apple pie. I groaned but just let her do it.
"So Rei, thinking about telling Kai anytime soon?"
"I don't know." I sighed.
"I think you should." She informed me, I smirked at her.
"What makes you say that?"
"I'm an expert in romance, since I have a boyfriend." I rolled my eyes at this, poor Darien.
"Plus I know Kai likes you. You guys get along really well." I smiled, she was right about one thing, we did get along well. That didn't mean he liked me. We were joined by some people. Ray and Max.
"What are you guys talking about?" Ray asked.
"Oh nothing…just….. Rei's feelings for Kai." My face lit up, I kicked her under the table.
"Serena!"
"Anything else?" Ray joked, I glared at him, what did he mean by that?
"I knew it!" Max delightfully sung. Him and Serena started trying to set up some kind of plan on matchmaking.
"It usually works when both people aren't present." The two blondes looked at me and then at each other, racing off.
"Hey….wait! Me and my mouth!" I groaned.

Ray and I had decided to have some one on one time, we headed to the movies, there wasn't much out.
"Could watch that new romantic one?" I was dying to see it but I wasn't going alone. Serena and Darien had gone. Mina and Tala. Lita and Michael and even Amy saw it with Greg. That left me alone, they kept saying how good it was.
"Do you really want to see that?" Ray asked, there was something in his tone which indicated he didn't want to see it. I smiled, I guess I could watch it alone some other time, maybe a late session.
"Well I kind of want to….but we can do something else." I quickly finished.
"Rei and Ray? What are you two doing here?" an all too familiar voice said from behind. I turned and smiled.
"Just checking out the movies." I answered quickly.
"Anything good?" Kai asked.
"Not really." I lied. A late session alone was how I was going to see this movie.
"Rei, weren't you saying you wanted to watch that new romantic one?" Ray asked all confused.
I went bright red, turning a glare on him. I wished I had really kept my mouth shut.
"Well…..well…I will see it later, how about we do something else?" I suggested. I started to laugh, getting all embarrassed.
"I better get going, I will check on Tyson." Ray waved and started to head off. He left me, knowing full well what he was doing, my phone went off with a message. I checked it and glared at the screen in my hand.
Maybe you and lover boy can see the movie. Catchya!
I pocketed the thing as fast as I could and turned back to Kai.
"You going to ditch me too?" I asked.
"Depends on what it is you are thinking to do." He shrugged.
I looked back at the movie, I didn't see it, meatball head would constantly go on about it.
"Look I will make you a deal, you see this movie with me and I will owe you whatever it is you want. Do we have a deal?"
"Anything you say?" I wasn't going to like it but I wanted to see this movie, it trumped everything else.
"Yes." I nodded after a moment of thinking about it.
"Ok then." He shrugged.

We had seen the movie and I was in tears, it was so sad. I looked at Kai, he looked well I had no idea.
"That was so sad." I commented, the girls were right. It was such a sad movie but so good.
"If you say so." Kai shrugged. I turned to him, was he serious?
"What's not to like? They had a good plot with many twists plus the actors were really good looking as well."
He gave me a pointed look, I just stared at him, waiting for a response.
"I'm a guy." He finally said. I folded my arms and looked at him.
"Are you sure?"
"Last I checked." He smirked at me, I just nodded.
"Sure you are."
We made our way back towards the dojo, Tyson had called Kai three times during the movie. Kai simply declined all the calls, then called him when we got out, making it last under a minuet. As we got there and walked in, I saw two blondes with wicked matching smiles. I glared at the two. This really couldn't be good.
"Well we are having a picnic!" Serena sang.
"Yeah, Lita and Michael are getting the food. Mina and Tala are saving the spot, Amy with them. Leaving the rest of us to join." Max filled in.
Tyson and Hilary walked in, one holding a soccer ball. Kenny, Max and Serena dibbed going with Ray. I turned to Kai.
"Leaves you, me and those two." I pointed to the two in question. They were currently kissing.
"Great." I heard the sarcasm and sighed with him. This was going to be one awkward trip.
