Chapter 1: King of Spades [Adventure of Power]
Two and a half years later, and Petunia was still dealing with the chaos that was dealt to them by a man she now knew to be one Albus Dumbledore. He had stolen almost a quart of Harry's inheritance while they were under spells. Petunia was sure he cast them but since she's still going through therapy to get her memories back she didn't have proof necessary to accuse him with. It was fine how things were at the moment, soon after they were visited by Quinn's sister's Family, things started to get better.
Apparently they had been in a similar situation with Genie, who was the last heir to the Ancient Atlantis House of Westgrey. The house was so old that not even today's Ministry had full records of the family but they did, and they also had records of Harry's family among lists of others. Petunia was even shown that her family two generations before her parents were Magical. According to them Magical children can be born up to five generations with consent breeding with Muggles, never has a child been born after the sixth.
Marius Melone, also known as Mad Hatter Mari was an internationally known Magical Lawyer. It was thanks to him that Petunia was able to not only Divorce Vernon, she was able sue Albus Dumbledore for his thievery but received back double of what Harry had lost. That man had also illegally seized her sister's Family Wills. When the Wills were actually read, the Ministry had tried to keep it under wraps but that's hard especially when they had to release the man the accused responsible for their deaths. Sirius Black, Harry's Godfather on the word of Dumbledore and witnesses, was sent to Azkaban for crimes he didn't commit. The Wills told that Albus Dumbledore was to one who cast the Fidelius Charm on Peter Pettigrew, a cowardly man who they now knew to be the real traitor to her sister.
This brought a storm, but even though Dumbledore was accused for this they didn't charge him with anything for the man blamed it on old age and the spell itself. Although because of that Petunia was able to get a restraining order against the man for Harry. So even if Harry attended Hogwarts, if he got in trouble to sent to the Headmasters office, the Vice Headmistress would have to deal with the problem. This gave Petunia a bit of relief, she was still concerned though, especially after what Harry told her while they were in court with the man.
"Aunty, he looks at me like Vernon did in public."
Never again will she let someone control them without permission. Marius and his life mate Jake, who's an international Expert Medi-User, gave them a Five Tiered Tryst Style Medallions made of White Gold and encrusted with Red Onyx, Purple Quartz and Jade. The Medallions were specially made for their family by request of Genie, the design was purely hers, so using her creativity she requested similar and sold them in a small boutique. The little genius also designs clothes and such that became a cross of Muggle and Magical. Those Medallions had wards that many didn't even have on their homes anymore and were an emergency Portkey to the Castle Phantom belonging to the Ancient Atlantis House of Westgrey.
That girl although she's been through a hell worst then Petunia and Harry, was a ball of sunshine. At least when she's happy, Petunia has only had the good fortune of seeing an upset Genie only once. That little girl without even using Magical of any kind reduced a grown woman to tears for offending her Zeus. Petunia assumed Genie would do the same for Harry who the girl called Hades after finding out Harry's real name. It was because of Lily keeping Harry's real name a secret that the procedures with Dumbledore went so smoothly. Hadrian James Potter, Harry for short because Hades sounds like a noticeable nickname.
Zeus was Genie's blood brother from Cosmos Elementary School for Undeveloped Witches and Wizards that was shut down for being abusive to children. Petunia heard from Marius that it was because of that school being shut down that he found out how his niece was being treated by her step family. Zeus was a child that was left for dead there and it was only after Genie bonded with him by blood that they found out who he really was.
Zeus was none other than Zentrix Rodolphus Lestrange, a missing child that the Lestrange family got sent to Azkaban for. The Ministry had claimed they had no child, nor was there any proof through St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries or any type of record. Petunia had once commented to Marius that had she not recovered some of her memories these wrongs wouldn't have been noticed.
Marius filed for the release of many so called Death Eaters after Black's case came into light. The man didn't even receive a trail, and went straight to Azkaban without the Ministry even knowing if he was guilty or not. For that reason alone all those that were sent to jail within the time span of five years before and five years after Black their cases would be looked into. When they finally got to the case for the Lestranges they were shocked to find not only did Bellatrix did give birth but that the two Aurora's she attacked to the brink of insanity were responsible for kidnapping her child.
Petunia sighed and rubbed her eyes, she really needed to stop thinking of the past and deal with the problems in front of her. She sat alone in the study of the Melone Mansion, Marius had built for Jake, Genie, Zeus and him. After everything she's been through he was kind enough to open their home to them. He did that for Genie and Zeus who took a strong liking to Harry. The three of them were best friends and siblings thanks to Genie. A year they spent with them before Genie decided to make Harry her blood brother by rite like Zeus was.
She placed the paperwork back on the table, apparently she wasn't going to get any work done today. With the thought of how close it was for the children to be receiving their Hogwarts letters, she was worrying. Petunia didn't trust that Dumbledore was just going to leave well enough alone, a foreboding feeling kicked her in the gut every time she thought of the man. Maybe a glass of wine would help calm her traitorous thoughts.
"Aunty Tunia!" Genie shouted from the top of the stairs as Petunia exited the office. Petunia could see her Nephew and Zeus trailing slightly behind the colorful bundle that came running towards her for a hug. She patted Genie's head lightly before asking the children if they wanted to get a snack with her. All three agreed quickly, for what child would say no to treats, especially the ones made by Snuggles, Quinn who became Harry's personal Elf and Robby who was Zeus' Elf.
On the way Genie spoke rapidly about her plans for what she wanted to do at Hogwarts and the things they did during the day. Harry and Zeus made comments every now and then sometimes even openly arguing, which was rare as the made their way towards the kitchens. Petunia smiled at them, how this scene reminded her of her own childhood before her life was played with as if she was a doll to be controlled. Lily, Severus and her had acted like this before the two of them qualified for Hogwarts together. She frowned, maybe if she also had magic things would have been different.
"Tunia?" Genie questioned when the woman's expression went from happy to sad.
"Sorry Genie, I-I just was reminiscing." She said. Petunia saw Genie's eyes narrow at her.
"Tunia, you know you can ask me things if you don't feel comfortable asking Uncle." Genie stated as she folded her arms in wait. Petunia knew she meant well, but she didn't want the child to know she held a small form of jealousy toward them for having magic.
She sighed, when it appeared that the bright eyed girl wasn't going to move till she got a question or answer that pleased her. "I just became envious that I wasn't able to go to Hogwarts with Lily."
"You should have." Genie said nodding as though she understood. "I have a Squib cousin who under the new Pure blood theories is said to have no chance at learning magic but that's untrue." All three's eyes widened when Genie finished her statement.
"Genie, explain for I don't understand either." Zeus' breathy voice commanded. His Honey eyes seemed to glow as he stared her down.
"Oh, um, I did research when I couldn't understand Uncles explanation to me. In the end I told Uncle the theory I came up with from my understanding of the Old Laws and how Our world changed for the worse." Genie said as she was obviously becoming embarrassed. "Users today just don't understand that Squibs are capable of magic it just takes time and effort for them to learn. The easiest way I can describe it is like Muggles, they have Muggles with Disabilities that vary. A Squib is a User with a magical disability. Sometimes Squibs can learn easy for being shown magic visibly while others may be better at creating theories. Then some Squibs may just have weak cores, and as all Users know only continuous practice of magic can strengthen your core."
By the time Genie was done, she was red in the face from blushing. She never really liked explaining her theories to others especially when they were different from the norm.
"That makes a lot of sense." Hades said breaking the silence. Genie could always surprise them with her theories of society but it was Hades who understood what she was trying to say even if she didn't complete her thought. Zeus glared at the two of them for a moment before Harry added to what Genie had to say. "Zeus what Genie's saying is that Muggles have specialized classes for those with disabilities in the muggle world. The classes go at a pace that they can learn and is more hands on since more with disabilities learn better physically."
"You're right that makes perfect sense, why don't we have that?" Zeus asked.
"We used to until about a century ago, I must admit I'm curious if that man called Dumbledore had something to do with it's decrease." Genie said out loud even though she hadn't meant to.
"Hmm," Hades hummed as he pondered her words. Zeus was quick to nod, the current Headmaster of Hogwarts had his hands in a lot of things that have now been proven to show the man as a deceitful manipulator.
With a pop, Snuggles appeared before them. "Mistress, a dark haired Lady be waiting Floo." Genie nodded and as a group they walked towards the Floo to see who was calling. Well Genie skipped while the others walked, her off key humming was rather uplifting but at the same time uniquely her.
The dark haired woman and two others stood as they entered the room. The woman gave a little gasp as she spotted Zeus but otherwise waited to be addressed. Genie smiled warmly, for she knew that they were Zeus family.
"Genie have you seen-" Marius said as he walked in the room. "Oh, is it three already."
"We're a little early Mr. Melone." The Lady said, her voice quivered but was otherwise strong.
"Early for what Uncle?" Genie asked as she tilted her head.
"Ah, let me introduce them first, Princess." Genie's eyes narrowed at the Princess comment while trying not to let a frown overcome her smile.
"These dark haired beauties are, Bellatrix Lestrange, her Husband Rodolphus Lestrange and his brother Rabastan Lestrange." Marius said was a wink towards the children which earned a cute giggle from Genie.
"Zeus it's your mum, see, see, I was totally right!" Genie said pointing towards the woman.
"Genie it's not kind to point, and yes you were right." Zeus said smiling at Genie. Genie released a woop before calling for her Snuggles.
"Snuggles~! We must celebrate, the arrival of Zeus' family. Send out invites for two week from now, all the regulars and~" She sang until she turned to look at the Lestranges. "Anyone you wish to invite?"
"The House of M-Malfoy, M-My other sister's family House of Tonks if she's willing and A-Ancient and N-Noble House of B-Black if Cousin Sirius is willing." Bellatrix said with a stutter that clearly came for being imprisoned for so long.
"Of course, but not to worry about Siri he's in his room sleeping at the moment. You can speak with him at Dinner if you like."
"Do we have room for them?" Hades asked and all eyes turned to Marius who sighed.
"Yep, yep." Genie said before asking, "Where are your trunks?"
"It was just supposed to be a visit, but they welcome to stay if," Marius said with a stern voice, "If they are willing."
"Uncle you say that as though I force other to do my bidding." Genie stated calmly with a pout she knew her Uncle couldn't resist.
"I don't even know why I try to reason with you Child." Marius said as Petunia moved to pat him on the back. She knew how tiresome those three could be in an argument.
"It's called good parenting." Genie said with a sweet smile. She made a heart with her hands in front of right eye. "Heart you Uncle." Marius smiled before claiming the same.
"So who likes shopping?" Genie asked and Marius took it as his cue to leave. Marius didn't like to shop for fun like his mate Jake and Niece.
Marius tipped his top hat towards the other adults and backed his way out of the room while the kids were distracted. Petunia held back a giggle and told the children to go get their coats.
"Do you mind shopping first before we go get your possessions from your home." She asked as she tucked a strand of her auburn hair back behind a clip. All three sets of eyes widened, clearly they had expected their first visit to be finished after the outing.
"Aunty, I brought your coat too." Hades said with a smile.
"Thank you Hades." Petunia said as she grabbed her coat and put it on. "Now, Pair off and grab a hands and we'll be off."
"You'll be my partner!" Genie exclaimed excitedly and held out her hand to Rodolphus. "We travel by Portkey, Uncle Mari's probably glad there's more adults, he doesn't like shopping~." Rodolphus took the bright little girl's hand in his and grabbed a part of the portkey with the other. He saw his brother by himself, his wife with their son and the auburn haired woman with her nephew. They felt a little twist before landing in a district the Lestranges had never seen before.
With their eyes wide Petunia knew the areas she'd come accustomed to through Genie were upscale and luxurious.
"Where are we?" Bella whispered in awe. She had never seen such luxury even with her parents as a child.
"We're in Rayephoune Alley." Hades stated as they started to walk towards the open cafe.
"Rayfun? I've never heard of such a place." Bellatrix said calmly.
"You need special access." Genie said. "Don't worry Zeus will get you a card later."
"I don't understand." Bella said as she followed the children to the cafe.
"This area is say for the cream of the cream. It's governed by the Goblins on behalf of Atlantis." Zeus turning to watch as his mother's face and reaction to his words. He was not disappointed, her eyebrows rose, mouth opened in shock and physical stopped in mid movement like a statue.
"Go get tea and ice cream for everyone, chocolate is agreeable." Petunia ordered and gave Zeus a stare down. She knew he was testing his blood for worth but he didn't need to overload them to the point of malfunctioning. She sighed and asked for Rodolphus to pick up his wife who upon touch went limp as a cooked noodle.
Petunia quickly asked one of the outdoor waited to adjust some tables for a group of seven. A quick double flick and swish of the waiters wand two elaborately carved tables join together to form one with chairs enough for eight around.
"Put her there," Petunia pointed before shouting at the waiter to summon her a damp cloth and Medi-user just in case.
"You have a wand do it yourself I'm not a servant lady." He before attempting to walk away. He turned to come face to face with his boss who was personally carrying two trays. The boss summon the cloth and said he'd call someone right away for them. He grabbed his waiter by and dragged him inside.
"Misty go outside," He yelled before hissing, "Listen here boy, most of the customers we get here are so far above that they can buy out the minister 5 times over with mere pocket change. So if any and I mean any of them asked you to do something you better do it, ya hear."
The waiter nodded and was told to stay indoors for the rest of the day. The boss went back outside to inform them someone was on the way when Petunia told him to cancelled it. He nodded with a smile before heading back indoors.
"She seems a lot better now," Petunia said dabbing the woman's head with the cloth. Zeus gave a calm sorry before digging into his ice cream. "Well explain things better when she wakes up for now enjoy."
Petunia sipped quietly on her tea and every few minutes she would glance beside herself to see if Bellatrix woke. As anxious as the children were to shop not once did they say that someone should take her home or that Bella was slowing them down. Rabastan thought the kids would be more uptight and demanding but from what he seen they were very level headed. Although Rabastan wasn't sure why he knew to be afraid of the innocent looking green eyed girl.
Rodolphus kept glancing about trying to understand why everyone seemed to stop and stare at them before rushing off. Those who weren't stopping at the cafe for tea would keep a large distance away from their side of the street.
"Is there something going on?" He asked. All eyes turned to look at him. "Why is everyone wide eyed over there?" He asked tilting his head toward the street. The children smirked cruelly towards the crowd which all but seemed to disappear.
"Because they know we are their betters." Genie stated calmly her smirk transforming into a gentle smile at him. "Oh, welcome back to the land of the living, Bellatrix. Did you hurt yourself at all?"
Bellatrix jumped before Rodolphus put a gentle hand on her arm. She sat back down gracefully and asked what happened.
"I'm sorry, Mother but I gave you information very cruelly. Unlike Father, it seems you know of Atlantis or were at least taught about it when younger." Zeus said with a slight frown. He wanted to test her but not harm her. Then again didn't think outsiders still knew of Atlantis.
"It's quite alright, I only know for my siblings, Sirius, Regulus used to listen to Great Gramps old tales." She explained.
"Sirius never wanted to tell us how he knew." Hades said as he dug back into his ice cream. All three smirked for now they knew they could catch that trickster off guard.
"I'm sure Aunty Tunia can explain more later for now let's shop. Is there anywhere you need to go?" Genie asked as she pushed what was left of her ice cream to the side. They all gave a reply of no before the conversation turned light with questions of Hogwarts, since the children knew the three of them had went there for schooling.
