sorry its taken me so long really really sorry.
"Zona?" Tim calls out as he sticks his head in through the front door.
"Almost ready." She calls as she grabs her walking stick and makes her way out of the kitchen. She still has a bit of a limp but she's hoping to get the all clear today to dump the stick and get back to surgery. It's been too long since she's cut and she is on edge.
Callie has taken the brunt of it and Arizona positively feels like crap for the past week she has been showering Callie and Indie in love and gifts. Two weeks and they will be walking down the aisle and she's marrying the love of her life.
"Can we stop for coffee and doughnuts?" Arizona asks as she locks the front door behind her and follows Tim to the car.
"Yeah that's why thirty minutes early." Tim laughs like it's a stupid question.
"Oh, cool. How are the boys?"
"Eating machines. I don't think Teddy has stopped being a vending machine since she got home. I don't like having to share the good that much." Tim says waggling his eyebrows suggestively.
"Ha, yeah I'm glad Indies been weaned off. They're all mine now." Arizona says, her eyes glazing over as images from last night fill her mind.
"Yeah…" Tim says dreamily thinking about his woman. That's the last word uttered between the twins as the make their way to the doughnut shop.
"I'll see you after PT" Tim yells making his way into the ER to check on his patients.
"Kay." Arizona calls stepping onto the elevator and pressing the orthopaedic floor. Checking her watch and seeing she has time she heads to the nurse's counter. Before she can even lean on the counter the nurse just says "Shes in her office." With a smile as she picks up the ringing phone.
"Thanks." Arizona whispers and heads for her fiancés office. Stopping just at the door she sees Callie leaning back in her chair with her eyes closed rubbing her temples. "Rough morning?"
"It's the last thing I really want to talk about." Callie murmurs, a little smile gracing her lips. "You're early."
Arizona pushes off the door frame, closing the door and makes it to Callie's side before swivelling the chair and planking herself not so gracefully in Callie's lap. Letting her walking stick drop to the ground she leans forward and kisses plump lips making Callie's eyes turn darker. "Ah and now I know why. You and Tim stopped for doughnuts." Callie whispers again pink lips before her tongue darts out and licks the bottom one. "Mmmm I taste pink icing."
"Yup. I bought you a little something too." Arizona says pulling a paper bag out of her jacket pocket.
"Aww you got me a bear claw." Callie says taking a massive bite.
"Well what kind of fiancé would I be if I didn't? Anyways I've got to get going or Phil will kick my ass for being late. See you before we leave?" Arizona asks standing and bending to kiss sugar coated lips.
"Yeah just page me."
"Sure, I'm taking Indie home with me so meet me there. Love you." Arizona calls out leaving Callie's office and heading straight for the 'torture chamber' as she likes to call Physical therapy.
"I don't think I've hated anyone as much as I hate you right now!" Arizona pants as she collapses onto the floor in a sweaty heap.
Phil just laughs and chucks a towel at her face. "Well I can defiantly say you don't need the walking stick now."
"I changed my mind, I love you." Arizona says making him laugh again.
"Hit the shower, you stink. And then meet me in my office." Phil tells her walking out and missing the salute she does.
Quickly showering and chucking on jeans and her jumper she makes her way down to phils office. "Knock knock." She says tapping on the door and walking in.
"Hey I just wanted to say you're good to go and never come to the torture chamber again. Just remember to do your stretches and you're all good."
"Yes! I wanted to thank you for getting me back to walking properly before my wedding. I know I was a pain in the ass."
"I'm no gonna lie and say I didn't want to kick your ass at some stage but you kicked ass at it. Now go, I don't want to see you here again." He waves her off and she just smiles leaving him in peace.
Stepping off the elevator in paediatrics, Arizona makes her way to the day care looking in the glass window to see Callie already there with Indie.
"Mama!" Indie lets out a squeal and gets up on wobbly legs and walks to Arizona with her arms outstretched ready to be picked up.
"Aw, there's my baby girl." Arizona coo's picking Indie up and covering her face in kisses. "And there's my other girl." Arizona laughs at Callie's eye roll and kisses the side of her mouth.
"You got rid of the grandma stick."
"Finally! Took long enough." Arizona huffs dramatically making indie giggle. "I'm finished with PT. now how about some lunch and then me and little miss here can go home or visit Teddy."
"Ter, Oli." Indie says clapping her hands.
"Let's eat, I'm starving." Callie says, her stomach grumbling to prove her point.
Indie sits in a high chair squishing chips in her hands as Callie and Arizona chat about their days and what they should do tonight when Lexie approaches behind Arizona with a slight limp and her dear caught in the head lights look.
"You okay little Grey?" Callie asks making Arizona turn.
"Um yeah…" Lexie squeaks, her eyes flashing between the two women before stopping on Arizona. "Cou-could I talk to you for a second… in private please?"
Arizona looks at Callie who shrugs and then back at Lexie. "Sure." Arizona stand kissing Indies head before she follows Lexie out of the cafeteria and into an on-call room. "So…?"
"I would get Addison to do this but she was rushed into surgery…" Lexie starts as she pulls a jar out of her lab coat. "I didn't know who to ask and then I saw you and I figured you could do it for me. We ha- well I ha- it was both our fau- no she-."
"Wait, just slow down Lex. What do you need me to do?"
"I have a burn." Lexie says looking anywhere but Arizona.
"A burn?" Arizona gets a nod from Lexie. "And you want me to put cream on it." Arizona says catching on. "Ok well, let me see."
Lexie steps forward but stops. "It's on my ass."
Arizona lets out a laugh before nodding. "Okay let's see then." Lexie spins and pulls her pants down before leaning over the little table. "Ho- wh- you have grate marks burned into your ass!"
"I know." Lexie says letting out a laugh and turning to see Arizona just staring at the burn marks. "Could you…"
"Oh yeah, sorry." Arizona gets to work, lathering the grate mark with cream and Lexie sighs as relief flood her body. "So how did this happen?"
"Ahh Addy and I were getting busy down in the basement and her pager went off making me jump and feel back on a steaming grate. I'm lucky it's not worse." Lexie says starting to laugh the more she thinks about it.
"Nice, that reminds me of when Callie took me away for the weekend a while back. Let's just say I had severe carpet burn on my knees I had to wear pants till it went away." Both woman laugh but stop short as there's a knock.
"Babe, I got paged." Callie's voice calls through the door.
"Yup be there in a sec." Arizona calls back. "Ok you're all lathered now, just get Addy to put another coat on before bed and hopefully it doesn't blister." Arizona says handing the tub to Lex.
"Thanks heaps Arizona." Lexie says pulling her pants back up as Arizona opens the door wide enough for her to fit through before closing it quickly.
"What was that about?" Callie asks looking at the door while handing Indie over.
"I'll tell you tonight." Arizona whispers holding in a laugh.
"Okay. I got to run but I'll see you later tonight if I can ever leave this place." Callie mumbles rolling her eyes as her pager goes off again. "Bye my beautifuls, love you lots." Indie gets a kiss on the cheek and Arizona on the lips. Indie and Arizona watch her run down the hallway disappearing around a corner.
"Well, let's go find Timmy and see your cousins."
"It was like hot cross buns." Arizona giggles while telling Callie about Lexies burns.
"No wonder Addy looked frazzled after walking out of the on-call this afternoon." Callie laughs rubbing moisturizer into her hands and crawling up the bed. Pushing Arizona's knees apart she settles herself comfortably on her stomach with her chin between Arizona's breasts. Callie closes her eyes as Arizona runs her fingers through dark curls. "So I've been thinking…"
"Uh oh." Arizona says jumping when she feels a pinch in her side. "Sorry, continue."
"Any way, I was thinking about the baby conversation we had a while ago." Callie says and hears Arizona's heart beat pick up. "Did you want to start on the shots now and try in three months or wait till after the honey moon to start them?"
"You want to start?" Arizona asks not believing.
"I really do." Callie smiles lifting herself up and kissing Arizona's flat stomach. "I think you would look incredible pregnant." Callie Whispers reaching up and kissing pink parted lips.
"Have I told you how my I love you Calliope?" Arizona beams wrapping her arms around Callie's neck and kissing her over and over.
"Not today, no." Callie mumbles against Arizona's lips.
"Well I love you to the moon and back probably even further." She whispers making Callie's heart swell.
"So now or after the honeymoon?"
"Now, start with the shots now!" Arizona says excitedly, wrapping her arms and legs around callie and squeezing.
"Good, cause we have an appointment with Addy tomorrow morning." Callie says, laughing at the shocked look on Arizona face.
"I really, really love you!" Arizona breathes capturing plump lips and flipping them so she on top. "And I'm really, really going to show you how much right now!"
