Darril and Randy stood side by side on the starting line and the tension began to built between them. Darril had gone with the training for many times with the team before compare to Randy. All scenario that had put on them which lead him- Darril with advantage point before Randy. Darril knew where all the possible those robotic undead location popped out.

But Ines was also well known to be very restricted to fairness, to ensure the combatant able to cope it, especially for the newcomers that who to get the first taste on the ground course or they should be called "fresh meat to the grinder" She looked up at Randy and paused for a moment

Randy was not easy to pick off, with the experience on raccoon still an some edge on him. It was still left mysterious for to be answer for Ines. What is the Randy question shouldn't popped out from her mind until she had the grant access for the files from Well. Well placed her into searching clue for any possible event or report looked weird or missing at some point. It was her expertise and nobody on her team member should know her work but yet in the same time, she being supervised by higher ranker personnel and Well.

Months of careful search between the batch files of report about the Raccoon city, the pieces of evidence gathered that created a jigsaw puzzles. There were so many holes and most of them rambling about themselves, as the survivor before they turned into undead.

The picture, note and footage was not enough to tell the whole story.

Only one record files caught her attention of curiosity as who had survived and escaped. A helicopter had flew out from the Raccoon City, from the clock tower zone. It was stated there were no survivor had being picked on the record but the flight log recorded.

The first one managed to returned but the second shot down. Why the second heliport returned at the same spot? Ines found a lead of discovery, there was a survivor- Randy was only survivor.

The match was unpredictable as who will be the winner. Darril with the familiarize training ground and Randy with old combat experience. It was hard.

Ines fingers working on the punching keys on the screen setup with her usual stern looking face that lead the no good sign for Darril. She was really putting her effort on this one and the other stood there- froze without any expression on it.

Only his real buddy- Ranges with one hand rubbing chins in purpose with a small motion shook his head a few times to get Darril attention on him and passing the hint that the test may be the difficult one. Darril received it with only quick glance on the group and then to his opponent, Randy

Randy did looked back on Darril and then turned his focus in front of the course ahead to prepare himself. In his head, he had wondered too much on thing that into consideration to wherever he will succeed or not.

Does his skill diminishing because for long years ago in prison?
Does he has the gut to face the undead like the horror happened in Raccoon City?

Too many things rambling in his mind like the balls of bingo rattling in the spinning cage and created nothing but the disturbance. "Got to focus?" Randy said in his thought. pushed away from those question aside. He gripped hard on the front handle and his heartbeat racing to explode

"Ready within 10 second." Ines completed the setup course and program took it to prepare. The screen being display the course setup, and the dots appeared one by one that showed as zone point for undead supposed to standby into the position. The siren of sound like an air raid echoed the field to remain other personal should not be entering or move away from the training field, as the live ammo had being use.

The two combatant began to move forward and tried to head to the finish was like a race but the undead was the only barrier to stop them. Darril and Randy ran to the first check point as might as they can. Both of their speed was almost parallel to each other. The first check point was open green field, no vehicle or any obstruction.

The undead began to appeared from the ground by digging itself out. Slowly those machine crawled out as their steel fingers racked the soft ground without stopping until they made their standing position. It give time for the Darril and Randy enough time to load and check their weapon. Darril took a deep breath and began to move toward his target. He kept a distance from those undead and fired them.

His aim was pretty good. First two bullet hit hard on the chest and the third one deadly found it mark on the skull. Darril smiled as he took the first kill and without further of wasting time. he took another down.

Randy took his aim on his target but his aim was not accuracy enough. He couldn't blame himself, as for years in prison. his muscles memory to handle firearm were gone. Randy could only depend his eyes judgement to make a shot. He fired again and all his aim were hitting the target on lower part chest. It was not good enough, those shot could be fatal for a human being, but not for undead.

The undead stopped for a moment, continue to advance.

Randy fired again until his target fell to the ground. Randy knew that he was wasting bullets and soon will be trouble.

"Quite bad. do you think he could make it?" Renges asked as to referring to Randy. Nobody answer him. Seem the duel held all their attention.
"I hope I see the best of him." Well walked near to the group and watched the duel progress on the monitor screen

"Darril will be the winner, it is a easy picking. That old guy seem to be rusty" Renges said as if talking to himself , somehow found a way to provoke some interest attention among the group. Well looked interest at Renges between his words. "I sense there are some kind of wager will be going around here." Well raised his left eye brow, had got a hook on Renges incoming plan.

Renges shuddered his shoulder and paced up and down, but his eyes made quickly glance on Ines. "If you are interest on bet. A small bet. Just loose up here a little."Renges was playing his word.

"How small is the bet will be?" Well said as he played along. The rest of the member caught into a interesting situation, except Ines, her eyes focus on the live feed combat monitor.

"What about betting on which person will get most point kill in this scenario." Renges opened his suggestion
"Ok, I am listening." Well crossed his arms
"I know that my man, Darril. He will win. I place my bet on him." Renges said.
"Hmm. I have think." Well replied, felt that himself fell into a trap. He looked Renges confident smile and the running scenario seemed to be one sided victory. He should knew that Renges had secretly planned since the beginning of the minutes. "I think you are going to bet on your own boy." Renges continued his word and not giving a chance for Well to back off from the bet.

"Do you think I have a choice? Like the owner own his horse to race on race track and never he will bet own horse. That is poor judgement" Well said.
"Sir, you know it is one sided victory." Ines broke her attention and turned around.
"I know. I believe on Randy. He can win." Well said as there were no other way to make an excuse. He did bought Randy out from the prison because the background and Randy did survived from the horror on Raccoon City.

It was the best option and a better chance survival rate for the team. Darril team was not up yet to handle outbreak, even with the month of training of this simulation. The simulation was a tech thing that bring as real as possible as real confrontation, but it is not close enough. The pattern undead attack is unpredictable.

"Beside I do wanted to see his action, so I can estimate his value to be on the part of the team." Well said.
"It is a well say. The bet is on then." Renges said, patted Well back to showed his friendly gesture. Well smiled.
"What is the bet?" Arrow asked.

"What an additional off day on this week for me and another friend on mine? I mean out from the camp zone" Renges said.
"You are very sure about the outcome and you had decided to bring Darril for the celebrate outside?" Well asked.
"No, actually, I decided to bring Ines out with me." Renges
"WHAT!" Ines stood up from her seat in disbelief with Renges plans. The other whistled for Renges for another bold move to woo Ines again. Especially in front Well. " Why you keep bothering me?" Ines fumed and returned to her seat. her eyes staring with the fiery anger

"You say you want a fancy restaurant dinner. Do you?" Renges lied
"I didn't. you said it" Ines said.
"Deal." Well patted back on Renges, shook his head with a smile. He walked off from that soon would become a mess, leaving Ines stranded, speechless.

"But if you lose, Renges. I place my authority power on Ines, wherever she sees fit for your punishment." Well stopped without looking back. " I believe my man. Renges. I never being wrong about my decision."

"Never." Well said in his thought.
