Chapter 11
"BLAINE! BLAINE!"
"WE WANT BLAINE!"
Kurt was standing at the very front of the stadium in Toledo, and listened as Blaine's legions of fans demand his presence. For a concert date that was only announced a week ago, the place was sold out in minutes. It just went to show how many fans Blaine really had and how many of them were desperate to be in the same room with him. It seemed a bit strange to Kurt who had spent almost every day in his presence for the last few months.
He could see that many of the fans were wearing Blaine's shirts, had Blaine jelly bracelets, Blaine sunglasses. It was strange though because there wasn't so long ago that Kurt wouldn't be caught at a Blaine Anderson concert and now here he was in some sort of relationship with Blaine and he no longer saw him as just a pop star. He supposed he was rather lucky to know the real Blaine, his fans really didn't and it was kind of sad.
If people knew that he was friends with Blaine, if they knew that he was dating Blaine, then Kurt would likely end up swarmed with fangirls asking him a million questions. For that reason he liked the anonymity so far, though he also wondered how many fans Blaine would end up having if they knew the truth about his sexuality.
The roar of the crowd got louder and Kurt focused on the stage just in time to watch Blaine put his guitar strap around his neck and the band started to play one of Blaine's most popular hits. It was evident that Blaine was completely at home on the stage, he was made for performing. His charisma and charm just made everyone complete puppets in front of him. It was remarkable to watch to be honest.
And Kurt love watching the show, he was finding that he really loved watching Blaine perform. His eyes were glued to him the entire show and honestly for a moment Kurt had a hard time reconciling this Blaine with the one he met at McKinley, the one he actually kissed. There were a few moments when Kurt could've sworn that Blaine was looking in his direction but he really couldn't be completely sure.
"I just wanted to say that you have been a wonderful audience, and thank you all for coming," Blaine was saying. The crowd cheered loudly in response.
"As many of you know I've been going to regular high school in Ohio this year, and one of my good friends is in attendance tonight. And I was kind of hoping he would join me onstage," Blaine said, looking directly at him.
Kurt gasped and felt frozen for a moment since he had never really been onstage in front of such a large crowd. People turned to stare at him and he heard people whispering as he made his way up the stage. He walked across, feeling everyone's eyes on him as he made his way to Blaine.
"Hi," Blaine smiled, holding the microphone away.
"Well that was a surprise," Kurt laughed nervously.
"I just want to sing with you again, is this ok?" Blaine asked carefully.
Kurt hesitated but nodded. "If I mess up in front of all these people, then it is your fault."
"You won't mess up," Blaine grinned. "Your voice is stunning. And the world deserves to know that."
"Thank you, let's do this," Kurt said.
Blaine nodded and started to play the beginning of perfect on his guitar.
"Made a wrong turn, once or twice," Kurt started to sing.
"Blaine, what the hell were you thinking?" his manager demanded after the show.
"I was thinking I wanted to sing a song with my friend," Blaine said, rolling his eyes. He really didn't feel like having this conversation right now. "It was completely innocent."
"I think you don't realize exactly what you've just done," his manager said annoyed.
"What are you even talking about?" Blaine snapped.
His manager handed him an ipad with an article displayed. It read: Blaine Anderson serenades boyfriend Kurt Hummel.
"But that, that's not even true," Blaine denied though he knew very well how much truth there was.
"It's too late now Blaine, the truth is out."
AN: I know there really is no excuse good enough to explain why it has been so long since I updated, but I will just say life got in the way. I know this chapter is also really short but I've had some writer's block with this story and I just wanted to get this next part to all of you who have kept up with this story, I really appreciate the feedback!
