"Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day" -Matthew 6:34

Naruto crossed his arms over his chest. After getting over his funk, all he's done is complain about Sasuked.

"Ugh, Naruto just shut it." Ino groaned.

"I just don't get it! How can you and Sakura-Chan like him so much, like come on! He's so pale, who likes pale people!" Naruto complained.

Sai turned his head to Shikamaru who was lying on the ground next to him.

"Shikamaru, should I be offended by that?" He asked the lazy boy. Shikamaru simply shrugged and rolled onto his side.

Naruto proceeded with his unappreciated ranting. Not particularly caring that he was annoying everyone else. The blonde genuinely didn't understand what was so good about the Uchiha. Yeah he was smart, and handsome, and tall, and probably had muscles and stuff (since Sakura seemed to like them so much). Sakura simply rolled her eyes at her friend. The boy could be such a hand full. When the pinkette was finally fed up, she smacked Naruto on the head.

"Just be quiet and stop your useless complaining, Sasuke's handsome, all the girls like him, get it through your head!" Sakura commanded. Naruto rubbed the back of his head and pouted.

"Sakura-Chan, you're so mean!" The blonde then crossed his arms over his chest and huffed. Although Sakura seemed extremely annoyed at the moment, she couldn't help but think the blonde was adorable. When Sakura couldn't handle it anymore, she exploded. Cue "Sister With Extreme Brother Complex Mode".

Naruto's face exploded into a deep shade of head when Sakura hugged the living daylights out of him.

"S-Sakura-Chan! W-what's wrong?" He exclaimed. Sakura simply squealed and hugged the boy tighter.

"Naruto, you can be so cute sometimes!" She replied. If possible, Naruto blushed a deeper shade of red. He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. Sakura would occasionally gush over the boy when her inner "big sister" would decide to break free.

"Sakura-Chan!" Naruto muttered in embarrassment.

Sasuke watched the scene ahead of him. He watched Naruto interact with his friends from across the courtyard. The Uchiha had fairly good eyesight. He glared as he watched the pink headed girl, which whom he's recently learned was named Sakura, hug Naruto like there was no tomorrow. But who wouldn't want to hug Naruto. The boy was downright adorable. Even Sasuke has fallen victim to the blonde's cuteness. Which was the reason why he found himself staring at him quite a bit. Nonetheless, despite understanding Sakura's feelings, he didn't appreciate the contact being shared between the two. Sasuke eyes narrowed into a glare.

The teen grunted. "How distasteful." He commented.

"What is?" Someone suddenly asked. Sasuke turned to look behind him and found one of his classmates, who could be labeled as his friend, standing behind him. Said teen's pupilless eyes stared down at the Uchiha waiting for him answer. Not having a better excuse, Sasuke looked up to the cloudy sky.

"The weather." He answered with a shrug. Actually Sasuke liked the cloudy sky. Somehow it relaxed him. Neji looked up to the sky and sighed.

"I suppose it's a matter of one's own opinion." He stated coolly. Sasuke simply shrugged his shoulders again in response.

The two "friends", as one would call them, sat quietly. Both Sasuke and Neji were usually quiet people. They only ever spoke when it was truly necessary. As of right now, the use of words weren't necessary. Soon enough, to Neji and Sasuke's pleasure, the bell rang. They stood up and walked back to the school building.

When they entered, the giggling commenced. Sasuke eyed all the other students. Namely the ones of the opposite gender. Neji kept his gaze ahead of him. Not bothering to spare a glance at his own onlookers. Fortunately for him, there weren't many. All focus was on the "New Kid". Despite him having already been at the school for more than a month already, but that was what Sasuke was addressed as.

Sasuke huffed in annoyance. He seemed to grasp the attention from everyone, except from the one he truly desired. Speaking of the one he truly desired, Sasuke caught a glimpse of bright, blonde hair. A small smirk made its way to his lips as they walked closer to the blonde.

Naruto was standing in front of the pink headed girl, much to Sasuke's displeasure. To his left, whom Sasuke was sure, was Nara Shikamaru. Apparently the top of the tenth grade, only tenth grader to be part of the "Principle's 4.0 Club". Sasuke found this "club" was by far the stupidest idea anyone has ever had. But you get free dress every Wednesday for three weeks straight, and with the quarter ending soon and report cards coming, Sasuke was not going to complain. While approaching, the whole group turned their attention to the elder teens. Sakura and some blonde chick giggled uncontrollably when they noticed Sasuke's gaze was fixated towards them. Sasuke was close to grimacing in disgust at that, but kept his cool façade for the blonde. Unfortunately, said blonde was sending Sasuke a heated glare.

As Sasuke and Neji walked past the small group of friends, Sasuke sent a wink towards Naruto. Naruto's reaction nearly sent him into a chuckling fit. His eyes had gone wide and his jaw dropped. The blonde raised his hand and pointed a shaky finger at the Uchiha. In return Sasuke simply smirked.

Sasuke's usually gloomy mood had begun to lift in his amusement, but some girls out right decided to ruin that for him.

"Oh my gosh! He winked at me!" Ino squealed excitedly. A low growl emitted form the girl next to her. Ino turned to glare at her friend. Sakura looked at Ino with an ugly scowl.

"No." She growled out. "He winked at me!" Ino scoffed loudly. Crossing her arms over her chest, Ino raised a blonde eyebrow smugly.

"Why would he wink at someone with such a big fat forehead?" Sakura gasped loudly. She clenched her fists angrily.

"Why would he wink at someone who's so big and fat, period." The pinkette hissed. And thus the fighting commenced.

Naruto stood behind the nervously. No matter how much he tried he couldn't seem to intervene in their argument. No one could. It was almost impossible to break them apart. Only an adult had the power to do so. But Naruto didn't feel like getting his friends in trouble. So in his efforts to stop them he muttered.

"I'm pretty sure he didn't wink at you guys." Actually that statement itself was a bit understated. Naruto wasn't pretty sure Sasuke didn't wink at them. He knew he didn't wink at them. And he had a good idea of who the raven had winked at. Even so, Naruto didn't want to admit it. Though he'd be lying to himself if he actually tried to reason with his suspicion. Still, Naruto preferred lying to himself. Because Sasuke totally didn't wink at me. That's just crazy talk.

"If not me-"

"Or me!" Ino interjected. In which was returned with a glare from the pinkette.

"If not… either one of us." Sakura said. "Then who?" Naruto gulped. That was when he realized that he kind of maybe messed up. Oh dear. He thought as he blinked at them. He couldn't possibly tell them his thoughts. No! They'd call him a jealous queer! That was a given. He then started to panic. Who was around them that could've been who Sasuke winked at? Let's see, there's Shika, chouji, Sai - wait no he went off to class ahead of us, so he's not here. Okay so all that's left is…Hinata! Naruto's eyes lit up and he raised his hand.

"It could have easily been Hinata." He pointed out. Hinata raised her head sharply at the call of her name. Apparently the Hyuuga had successfully tuned out the other girls' argument. As well as the conversation between Naruto and them after that. Both Ino and Sakura took a moment so let his words to sink in. When it finally did they stared at their hands. A look of complete failure shown through their eyes as they occasionally twitched. They were silent for a while until Ino groaned.

"You're right!" Sakura declared soon after. This was followed by another groan from Ino. Naruto raised his hands. Wait…this wasn't what he wanted to happen. While in attempt to save his own bum, it seemed he tarnished the girls' self-esteem. Maybe just a bit.

"Just look at her!" Sakura yelled. Hinata jerked from side to side. Having not known what was going she was beginning to panic.

"She's so pretty!" Ino yelled as she rushed to their shy friend. Hinata held her hand in front of her face in attempt to hide the dark blush that tainted her cheeks from the complement.

"Just look at her hair!" Ino exclaimed.

"And her skin! It's pretty and pale and soft!" Sakura grabbed Hinata's hand and began rubbing it. Naruto squinted his eyes. This was starting to get a little weird.

"And just look at her boobs!"

"I know they're just perfect right!"

Everyone else's jaws dropped. Well this had gotten really weird really fast. Good thing Sai wasn't there. At this point Hinata went completely pale and she began to shake. Sakura and Ino whimpered as they both held onto Hinata's hands.

They then abruptly let go of the girl's hands and rushed away. They held their arms across their chests as they ran. Still whimpering Sakura spoke.

"We fail as women!" She whined, in which broke out into louder whimpers.

The rest among the group watched the two in confusion. Well as for Hinata, she was a little close to fainting. Naruto then crossed his arms over his and huffed.

"Well that escalated quickly." He commented.

"Troublesome." Shikamaru stated dryly. Chouji nodded his head in agreement. Naruto turned to Hinata and studied her. He watched her as she began to sway a bit.

"But I guess they do have a point." He said. And that was it. Hinata was done for. She staggered and then she fainted. Shikamaru face palmed and Chouji sighed exhaustedly.

"Hinata!" Naruto yelled as he rushed to pick the girl up. Or maybe 'try' was a better way to put. The blonde seriously lacked a bit of muscle. When they realized this was getting nowhere Shikamaru and Chouji decided to help Naruto. The three boys –or rather Shikamaru and Chouji- carried Hinata to the nurse's office. For the third time this week.

Naruto held Hinata's hand, acting as moral support he'd say. He let out a low sigh. Anemia's got to suck.

Before you ask, no Hinata doesn't actually have anemia. Naruto just figures that she has that since she's always fainting. yeah.

We actually do have a Principle's 4.0 Club at my school. It's really stupid. But you know I got a free t-shirt and free dress soooo. I ain't complaining. Though I still have yet to get that t-shirt. And I shall keep waiting for it.Okay so I hope you enjoyed the chapter. I know it's short and nothing happens but it's barley the third chapter and at least you got an update right? So no need to complain. Alright then.
