I am actually so sorry for not updating but I've been having really bad writers block and I'm pretty sure this chapter is full of mistakes and crap band I apologise for it being short but I wanted to get it published so...yeah...
Reveal
Carla was sat at the bar of the rovers with a glass of wine in her hands. She was nervous to say the least. As the day had gone on she had become more and more unsure of what she was planning this evening, she wasn't sure if she could do it anymore, but she had to. She had to do this, she had to get some kind of revenge.
Tina was behind the bar and Carla could tell that she was looking at her, but as much as she wanted to, Carla couldn't attempt to kill the younger girl, not yet anyway. She also knew that Michelle was watching her with a worried expression on her face, and she wished that her best friend could just leave her alone for a bit, stop breathing down her neck and give her a bit of space to prepare for what she was about to do.
The only annoying thing was that she was relying on Steve, and he didn't even know it. She had sent him to get Peter to come and have a drink, and he didn't know why, Michelle had obviously told him what had happened, but he had said he would try to get him to come but it wasn't his fault if he couldn't.
It was another 15 minutes until the two men finally did walk through the door. Peter looked a lot more reluctant than Steve, his gaze fixed on the floor, especially when he saw Tina, and Carla sitting there.
As Peter and Steve sat down in one of the booths she took in a deep, shaky breath, it was now or never. She had to humiliate them though, she had to hurt them both.
With a final sip of her wine she stood up, and in a loud voice she called out, "Right everyone, listen up, I've got an announcement to make."
She felt her heart beating strongly in her chest as most people turned to look at her, waiting to hear what she had to say.
"I just want to say that I am no longer engaged to Peter Barlow." The outburst of gasps and shocked whispers that reached her ears made her cringe, but she had to do this, she was just going to have to suck up the fact that she was going to be talked about for a while afterwards.
Carla's eyes were drawn to Peter sitting there with a sad expression on his face, he looked at her with pleading eyes as if he was saying please don't do this, he wished, she had started this, she was going to finish it.
"I bet most of you are wondering why as well. I'll tell you why. My ex fiancee is a cheating scumbag, that's why!" Carla felt her voice growing stronger as she felt the familiar anger rising in her chest.
"And the second part of his little secret is in this room right now!" In the corner of her eye Carla saw Tina start to back away behind the bar, "Oh no, don't try to run away!" She spun around so her fiery gaze was directed at Tina, and smirked a little as she heard the murmurings from everyone in the pub as they realised who she was looking at.
"That's right, the person who was supposed to love me, who I was supposed to be marrying has been sleeping with a girl half his age," Carla's voice was starting to crack as she felt tears start to well up in her eyes, "I just thought you should all know."
Carla grabbed her bag and stormed out of the rovers, getting halfway down the road before stopping and bursting into tears, finding herself unable to do anything except slide down the cold wall as an unstoppable flow of tears fell out of her eyes and down her face.
Michelle had followed her friend out of the rovers, but not before she had taken great pleasure in sacking Tina, she knew that Carla was going to regret telling the whole pub later, but right now it had obviously been something she felt like she needed to do, and there was no way she would have been able to stop her.
At the sight of her best friend sobbing on the floor Michelle felt an overwhelming urge to go and murder Peter, how could he have done this to her, how could he have made her into this mess, but right now she had to help Carla.
She pulled her up and wiped away her tears, and couldn't have agreed more with the next words that left Carla's mouth, "I need a drink."
