When Miku left the room Rin said to her brother, "I don't understand. Miku-Sama says she is staying with us like we want her to, but I can't help but feel incredibly guilty about it."
"She's sacrificing the rest of her life for us," Len observed. "The only reason we were going to kill her was because we're jealous of those who have her in their lives, but I don't think either of us really could have peirced her heart."
Rin sank to her knees. Hugging her legs to her chest, Rin said, "She cared for us, kept us company, and called us her best friends. Now we do all this for her and she gives up her life in order to continue being with us. Why?"
"'When you really love someone,'" Len quoted, "'you would sacrifice yourself for them without ever caring what happens to you.'"
"Where did you hear that?" Rin asked.
"It was in a movie we watched with Miku-Sama. Remember?" Rin shook her head. "Maybe . . . that's what love really is, and she's showing it to us in this way."
"In that case," Rin stood up, "then I understand why I am feeling the way I am. The reason I don't want Miku-Sama to stay here forever anymore is because- is because-" Rin took a deep breath and shouted her sentence. "It's because I love her too!"
Len was shocked by his sister's declaration. "What are you saying, Rin?"
"You know what I'm saying!" Rin snapped. "I know you really don't want Miku-Sama to stay here forever either, but you're being too selfish to realize your own feelings."
"What are my feelings?" Len challenged.
"It's so obvious that I can't believe you," Rin snorted. "You love Miku-Sama too! Maybe even in a different way then I do."
"I-I don't know what you're talking about," Len claimed but was slightly blushing.
"Come on!" Rin said dramatically. "Ever since you laid eyes on her tonight you've been keeping a close eye on her. I even heard you say that she has become very beautiful. You want what's best for her but at the same time you don't want to lose her again. Deny it all you want, but you do love her, Len!"
Len said nothing but the blush continued. He finally said "There is a way we can be with her without her having to stay here forever."
"How?" Rin asked. Len looked around the room so Rin could figure it out. "But Len!" Rin exclaimed when she figured out what he meant. "If we leave the mansion and the sun rises we will turn into dolls again!"
"That," Len said, "is a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
"Rin hugged her brother as she began to cry. "I just don't want to lose you again. We couldn't communicate as dolls, and if we leave here we won't be able to talk again." She began crying even harder.
Len rubbed her back. "But Miku-Sama will always keep us together. As long as I know where you are my soul will never be troubled."
Rin turned her head so her other cheek could rest on his chest. "I've made up my mind. Like it or not, Len, I'm going to get what I want."
Author's Note: So much for not waiting too long to update. :/ I am so ashamed of myself. This was meant to be a halloween special and now we're past Christmas! . . . By the way, how was everyone's Christmas?
Hana Okita: LOL, it's okay. And I think you may want to avoid any place where dolls come to life. If the head was appearing at odd places then what would happen if the doll came to life is a nightmare to just even think about!
zhane17: Thank you, Zhane-San. :) And don't keep your readers waiting too long. Patience may be virtue but a really long time between updates is quite a bother.
Yubi Fanficts: (Sorry, I have to write your pen name like this because FanFiction keeps deleting it for some reason): Thank you! :) And I think we all feel bad for the twins. . . .
I'll try to update this later today, but I make no promises. This story is almost done so I promise the ending isn't far off (so much for not making any promises).
