Carlys POV

Were so close. Shepard will fall. Funny thing really, were labled the most wanted war criminals due to Shepards betrayal.

Soap: We've got one good UMP. They've got thousands. We don't even know if Makarov's intel is any good. Price...Price?

Is stood in scilence waiting for whatever the old man had to say.

Price: The healthy human mind doesn't wake up in the morning thinking this is its last day on Earth. But I think that's a luxury. Not a curse. To know you're close to the end is a kind of freedom. Good time to take... inventory. Outgunned. Outnumbered. Out of our minds. On a suicide mission. But the sand and rocks here, stained with thousands of years of warfare... They will remember us. For this. Because out of our vast array of nightmares, this is the one we choose for ourselves. We go forward like a breath exhaled from the Earth. With vigor in our hearts and one goal in sight: We. Will. Kill him.

I listened to every word of his speech. I understood now.

Shepard will fall.

Nikolai:I'll wait for you at the exfil point. Three hours.

Price:Don't bother. This was a one-way flight, mate.

Nikolai:Then good luck my friend. Слава Богу. (Thank God)

[Day 7 - 17:32:36]

["Soap" MacTavish]

[Site Hotel Bravo, Afghanistan]

We lay still in dessert camos. I hated storms. I've never been in a sandstorm though... I still hated it.

"Lets move out lads" Price ordered.

We uncovered ourselves and made our way through the sandstorm until we reached a ridge. We overlooked Site Hotel Bravo.

I noticed something on my radar. "I'm getting thermal spikes up ahead". I informed.

"The cave must be up ahead" Price finished.

We paused for a moment, further observing our surroundings. Then we saw it.

A patrol group right below us. Price spoke before any of us.

"Hold up. Enemy patrol. Hold your fire. Looks like Makarov's intel was solid, this is it" Price spoke

We watched as the patrol group split up. "Good, they're splitting up. Let them separate. This decryption code better be worth the price we paid..." Price once more spoke.

Suddenly the Shadow Company started talking in the comms. We listened carefully.

Shadow Company HQ Go ahead, Alpha.

Shadow Company (Alpha):Riverbed all clear, over.

Shadow Company HQ:Bravo?

Shadow Company (Bravo):Sandstorm. Not much to see right now, over.

Shadow Company HQ:Zulu?

Shadow Company (Zulu):Uh, we're starting our patrol east along the canyon. North-side access road, over.

"Focus on the group on the right, directly beneath us. Let's take them out first. I'll take the two on the left. On my mark. Three... Two... One... Mark".

I took out one on the right, while Soap and Price took care of the rest. Ugh I feel worthless right now.

"Just like old times" Price said.

"Right you are mate" Soap responded.

I kept silent. I had a bad feeling about this.

"I count five tangos down" Price informed. Suddenly a man pointed in our direction. Crap. He began shooting and others joined him.

"There on to us, go loud"! I jumped at Prices voice.

Without hesitation I began taking down the tangos alongside Price and Soap. Once they were all down, I sighed a breath of relief.

"These aren't your average muppets, no more mistakes", Price said to no one in particular but I bet it was directed towards me.

Price took lead as we began to slide down the hill to the road.

"All right we've got to take out the other group before they leave. Soap lets take them out".

I stood in silence as Price and Soap got ready for a stealth kill.

"I'm in position, take the shot"

They took down the enemys.

"Price looked over to me and nodded. "We don't have much time before they find the bodies, Lets keep moving"

We moved in towards the edge.

"Lets hook up here"

I hooked up my nylons to the railing, Soap and Price followed suit.

We began our way slowly down the cliff.

"Make sure your using a suppressed weapon, otherwise were dead"

Shadow Company HQ: Disciple Four, Oxide. What's your status, over?

Shadow Company HQ: Disciple Four, Oxide. Do you copy, over?

Shadow Company HQ: Hey, I'm not getting anything from Disciple Four, north-ridge road. Could be a bad transmitter.

Crap.

"Two tangos down below us"

This time I took out my knife and gave Price a quick nod. Price got the left one and I took the right one.

"Lets go"

We unhooked from the nylons and made our way towards a cave entrance.

I quickly switched to my Vector Silenced ACOG sight, Soap did the same. We entered a cave. Near the entrance a guard stood.

"Tango spotted, do not engage".

We sneaked around the unsuspecting guard. After we did, I got a very deep sinking feeling. It hit me what Price said earlier. "This is a one way trip".

I'm back from the dead! But I'm sorry for the wait, you know with school and what not. This chapter is coming in 2 parts. I hope this will tide you over until the next chapter comes out.

See you later. (Sorry if I'm rusty, its been awhile)
