Chapter 6: Talking to Kana
Arina woke up early the next morning to Kana talking on the phone. She sat up shocked at how loud the supposedly quiet Kana could speak.
Cocoa was floating beside Arina's head scared out of sleep by the sudden sitting up. "Arina-sama, who is that?" she asked timidly.
Arina got a notepad out of her desk and started to write. 'The person over there is Kana, my room-mate. She can't see or hear you but she'll be able to hear me talking to myself. I don't want her to think I'm crazy so it's best if I just write the answers for you. Also you can drop the sama, we're friends now and I'm not your superior anyway.' she wrote.
Cocoa nodded. "Alright Arina-san...? Wait. Do I call you by san, chan or no honourific?" she asked confused.
'Chan is okay with me but if you want to use something else it's fine. Just not sama, dono or sempai' Arina wrote. She looked at Cocoa and smiled.
Kana poked her head around the curtain separating her from Arina. "Did my talking wake you? I'm sorry if it did. My sister wanted me to come home but I can't so she was trying to talk over me" Kana apologised.
Arina shook her head. "You didn't wake me but your loudness did shock me. I didn't know you could be so loud and confident" she said laughing.
Kana giggled too. "I guess we should get breakfast before we go on our trip" she suggested.
Arina nodded. "That's a good idea" she replied smiling. Her phone vibrated in her desk. It was another text from the evil finance manager of the host club. '5 days isn't long to wait. We'll be together again soon, my love.'
Arina shuddered and typed back a reply. 'I don't want you to come. Leave me alone. Oh and I'm not your love, I'm not your anything in fact. Just stop Kyoya.'
Kana looked into Arina's side of the room and saw the face Arina was making. "What's wrong? You look like you've licked a lime" she asked, genuinely worried.
Arina shook her head. "Nothing's wrong. Everything's fine" she covered up hastily, putting a smile on her face.
Kana nodded hesitantly. "But please tell me if any thing's wrong. I'm happy to lend you a hand or an ear."
Cocoa looked over Arina's shoulder at the text she was sending and vowed to fix this problem.
As Arina and Kana went off for breakfast, chatting happily, Cocoa hopped onto the small touchscreen buttons of Arina's phone typing out a message to someone Arina's phone didn't even have the number of. Cocoa had memorised the number and she smiled happily as she hopped onto the send message button.
I'm really sorry this took so long. I've been really busy. Keep reviewing and sending me comments on what you'd like to see in the story. :) ~Chiaki 3 xoxoxoxo
