"Tell me again what we're looking for?" Tyra asks Emily tiredly. They've been at this for hours, and while Tyra enjoys a good shopping spree as much as the next person, she's been following Emily from one random store to another with zero success for either of them.

"The perfect Christmas gift" says Emily absently, examining yet another random gadget.

"Perfect. Right. Umm, I was wondering if you could maybe be a little more specific?" responds Tyra pointedly.

Emily shoots her a look.

"Em" sighs Tyra, leaning against the nearest display shelf. "We've been at this for hours. Do you think that maybe 'perfect' is setting the bar a little high? If I said 'pretty good Christmas gift', what's the first thing that pops into your head?

"I'll know it when I see it" says Emily stubbornly, leading Tyra into the next aisle.

"I really don't think a pair of fuzzy socks is going to say, 'Merry Christmas, awesome boyfriend! I can't wait until the next time I get to jump your bones'" observes Tyra moments later as she watches Emily dig through a bin of bargain items. "How about a nice pair of boxers that says something like 'sexy' across the butt?"

"Tyra!" exclaims a blushing Emily, trying to hush her friend. "It's not just about the sex! Not that that part's bad, it's just… with Micah things are different."

"Different how?" asks Tyra suspiciously.

"I don't know. He's just…it's like I can't remember what my life was like before I met him. He's part of who I am now."

"Wow" says Tyra, crossing her arms and scrutinizing Emily through narrowed eyes. "You are really IN this thing, aren't you?" It's more of a statement than a question.

"Yeah" says Emily, thinking about it for a moment before a foolish grin begins to spread across her face. "Yeah, I really am."

"Well then what can you get him that says 'I'm totally in this with you?'" asks Tyra turning to examine a display of men's hats as she stifles a yawn. It's only after she has tried on two, examining her reflection in the mirror, that she suddenly realizes Emily hasn't said anything in a while. When she turns, Tyra finds her friend lost in thought, standing with her arms crossed as she chews on her bottom lip and stares into the distance.

Tyra sighs, putting the hats back on the display rack before grabbing Emily by the hand. "Come on. I need coffee."

"But.." protests Emily, coming out of her reverie.

"You can think about it more once I'm sitting down." Says Tyra with finality, leading Emily towards the nearest exit.
