Chapter 12: Talking
The team looked around the room in shocked. "Wow, this room looks bigger than yours," Robin mumbled to himself as Conner and Chris led them to the couches in front of the giant plasma screen TV.
Once everyone sat down an awkward silence stretched through the room. "Conner, are you going to come back?" M'gann asked as she looked over at her boyfriend.
"I-I honestly don't know M'gann. I know Justice League just wants to protect everyone but I couldn't give up a part of me that I've known for so long."
"Its ok, Supes. We understand. Take as much time as you need," Wally said reassuringly.
"Father has returned home," Chris said as he looked out his window. Conner looked out of the window as well, then back at Chris.
"Well, we have to go now. Conner, I hope you stay happy here." Aqualad said as he climbed out the window after the rest of the team.
"Bye guys," Conner and Chris said as they watched them disappear.
Lex entered the house and headed up the stairs to where his sons were.
"Conner, Chris, are you still up?" Lex yelled once he was on the top floor.
"We're in the video game room!" Chris yelled as Lex walked towards his voice.
"Did you have fun tonight?" Lex asked his sons.
"Yeah, we did," Conner and Chris replied, sharing a look.
