Chapter 14: Information
"Conner, hurry up!" Chris said, giving his brother a big smile as he ran across the sandy beach with Conner close behind.
"Chris, wait up," Conner yelled. He felt a sudden pain to his forehead as someone tried to break down his walls in his mind. It was soft push, like M'gann yet firm like Martian Manhunter. It was fierce and jagged, wanting to cause him pain. Conner gasped in pain as he felt the last barrier in his mind was broken and it began to prob his mind.
"Conner!" Chris screamed as he looked back to see that Conner had fallen to the ground.
"Robin, are you almost done yet?" Wally asked as the watched Kid Wonder hack his way into the databases of the FBI, Wayne Enterprises, Lex Corps or any database with any information on Lex Luthor,Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne.
"Shut up, KF," Robin told him as he continued to hack away, copying and sending all the files onto his server space, making sure he didn't leave any evidence that he was there. "I'm done, bringing up the documents... Now." He brought multiple screens up in the the briefing room.
Wally whistled as the whole room was filled with documents about the three men.
"Guys look, this one says Luthor and Bruce Wayne went to school together." Artemis pointed out them as Zatanna looked at them confused.
"What does Bruce Wayne have to do with Super Jerk and Lex Luthor?" Zatanna asked. Artemis, M'gann, and Kaldur looked over at Wally and Robin who did not give them an answer.
"This article says that fifteen year old Clark Kent saves young billionaire Lex Luthor from drowning when his car went off an bridge," Kaldur explained as they all went over to see the document.
"Then after that it seems that more strange events had happen around the city of Smallville where Clark grew up, while Lex Luthor was a resident in the city," Robin adds as he brought up many case files.
"There are several occasion where Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor met up at events then disappeared for private meetings in the past couple of weeks," M'gann informs them as she brought up several pictures and articles about the meetings.
"What does all of this mean?" Wally asked as he looked around at the team.
"I don't know, Wally, but it can't be good," Zatanna told him.
Lex sat in his manor drinking scotch as he did some documents to get Chris enrolled in school. Not long after he finished his first drink, both Superman and Batman came through his window.
"Batman, Superman, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Lex asked as he poured himself another drink.
"You know why we're here Luthor. We know Conner is at the hospital and not even a couple of days before Conner left, you took the other clone to get examined," Batman stated.
"Indeed I did but this was a routine check up nothing more." Lex brushed it off.
"No, it was not Luthor we saw the security footage. Which clone is it?" Superman asked.
"What are you talking about?" Lex feigned innocent.
"Enough games Luthor. Which one of them is deteriorating?" Batman growled at him giving him his famous Bat glare.
Lex let out a heavy sigh as he set his glass down then looked up at both of them. "It's both of them. Conner needs more Kyrptonian DNA while Chris needs to be infused with an stabilizer DNA in order not to fall back into his nothing but unstable state. Chris's treatment is almost done. Meanwhile, since the last encounter with your group of youngsters all of the Kryptonian DNA we had is now gone and the only hope of saving him is SuperJerk over there." Lex told them as the room temperature dropped and everyone went quiet.
