Father's Love
Chapter 15: Survival
"Lex? I think we should attempt to get along for Conner's sake," Clark told him.
"We have nothing to talk about until you agree to help keep Conner and Christopher alive," Lex said, glaring at Clark. The Man of Steel hesitated at this. "You're willing to kill innocent teenagers so to keep your secrets!" Lex yelled at him.
"After everything that happened I think I'm within my rights to act this way!" Clark yelled back at him. They continued to glared at each other until Lex's cell went off.
"What do you want?" Lex snapped. There was some whispering on the other side of the line. "What? Where are they?" Lex demanded. He grabbed his jacket and began to quickly move from the room and down the stairs with Clark following after him.
"Where are you going? We're not done talking!" Clark yelled.
"Yes, we are. I have to go see my son, who is in the hospital." He exited his mansion before getting inside the limousine that would take him to his sons.
"Father, what is wrong with Conner?" Chris demanded to know as soon as Lex arrived.
"We will talk about this when there are no vultures lurking around us," Lex said as he went over to his son's hospital room. Once they were safely inside the room, the door was shut and the blinds were down, he finally answered Chis. "You and your brother are slowly deteriorating. We thought we had enough DNA for the both ofyou but we only had enough for one. So we used it on you thinking we wouldn't need it for Conner but sadly we were mistaken and unless we get DNA from Superman, Conner will die."
"Then, why aren't we asking him?" Chris asked.
"He hasn't given me his answer. Hhe said-" Lex started.
"We got the DNA, Mr. Luthor. We must begin the procedure right away," The doctor said, rushing into the room with several nurses quickly moving into action.
