Chapter 16: Reconnecting
Chris sighed as he sat as his brother's side. "Chris, come on. Lets go home. You need to rest," Lex said, putting a hand on Chris's shoulder.
"I'm fine, I want to stay here," Chris said, stubbornly.
Lex sighed. He knew his son would be stubborn about situation in hand. "At least come to the cafeteria to get something to eat."
"Okay," Chris said as they got up from his seat and went to the cafeteria.
Once the two Luthors left, Clark Kent snuck into the hospital room. He stood next to the bed, smoothing back Connor's hair.
"I'm so sorry, Conner," he apologized.
"Who are you?" Conner groaned in response, blinking his eyes several times.
Clark didn't reply. Instead, he turned to leave the hospital room but found the other clone blocking his escape.
"Why are you running away?" Chris demanded.
"Chris..." mumbled Clark as he avoided the clone's gaze.
"You could at least look me in the eye!" Chris snorted as he pushed pass the Man of Steel before entering Conner's hospital room.
The moment Vandal Savage stepped into his office, he was forced into hand cuffs.
"Salvage, you're under arrest," Batman growled, holding his hands in a vice grip.
