A/N: So I don't know much about Turbo or Zeo or the characters so I'm just kind of winging it here, okay? And I know Aisha/Billy weren't in Zeo but just be flexible for me, please. I will include Tanya so be patient. In case you're unhappy with that, to make things better, I think I will do a spinoff of their honeymoon, thanks to all of your kind words. It will take me awhile though. And I think I will also include Megaforce, since we are so far along in the season already. Besides, it will be interesting to see what the maknaes will think of the other, newer maknaes!
"And that's why they couldn't make it," Adam explains. He had just finished informing Emily and Jayden, as well as Kevin and Mia who had wandered over, why the Alien rangers were unable to make the wedding. "But I'm sure they would have loved to be here."
"Oh for sure," agrees Emily. "It's such a shame though. I would have loved to meet them."
"They would've liked to be here too," Kat reassures her, moving some blond bangs out of the way. "They would have been interested in an Earth wedding as well." Her Australian accent is evident in her voice and makes Jayden wonder if she's met Xander yet. Then he mentally smacks himself. Of course they've met before! They have probably been friends long before he was even old enough to train. Just because he was meeting them now doesn't meant they didn't know each other beforehand.
"You act like they've never been to our planet before," points out Rocky, smirking. Kat turns a frosty smile to him and his face immediately goes blank, not wanting to get on her bad side.
"Wise choice Rocky," Aisha mutters to him out of the corner of her mouth, interlacing her fingers with his. He gives her a sheepish smile.
"By the way, we never asked. How did you manage to come if you, well, were back in Africa in the past?" Jayden asks, curious. As stated before, he had been made to learn all of the past rangers history and he remembers Aisha had decided to stay in Africa to help the animals.
"Oh please, that's nothing when you have ranger friends," interjects Rocky. "I mean, people from the future-SPD-" he waves over in the direction of so addressed rangers "and Time Force, retrieving Aisha from the past is a piece of cake."
"Wow," murmurs Kevin. "That must be incredibly complex technology. I would love to learn more."
"I don't think that's a good idea," says Jason who had just come over, having overheard their conversation and bringing Billy with him.
"And why's that?" inquires Mia, confused. Billy takes Kat's hand and gives her a dorky yet adorable smile.
"Because if you ask Bridge, he'll just confuse you even more, Trip would probably not know how to explain it, Sky would be impatient with you as he tries to explain it, Lucas would get off topic more times than you would think possible and don't get me started about Jen," answers Billy. The others raise their eyebrows.
"Why would you say that?" Emily asks. She twirls a lock of curly hair around her fingers, still interested in the concept of time travel ever since meeting with the teams Rocky had mentioned previously. It's better not to mess with the past but just the knowledge that they can do it is fascinating.
"Because we've been on the end of it," Aisha responds sheepishly.
"Yeah, we learned it the hard way," adds Adam, feeling a little lost without Tanya by his side. But she's over with the RPM team, deep in conversation with Summer, Gemma and Flynn.
"Oh, that makes sense," concludes Jayden.
"I'd still like to know more details," says Kevin wistfully. "Imagine-being able to control the very fabric of time! How cool would that be?
"Extremely cool," Rocky agrees, grinning. "But since we already have had control of amazingly cool things, I don't know if we need more."
"You mean the Zeo crystals?" Jason checks. Rocky nods, reaching below his shirt collar and tugging his tie out of the way to pull up a simple black cord that is around his neck. Hanging on it is a small red crystal that glimmers in the light of the chandeliers.
"You still have that?" Billy looks at him incredulously. Rocky shrugs, a little bashful.
"I think it's sweet." Aisha smiles at him. Rocky had been able to persuade Bully to make her one too, even though she wasn't the yellow Zeo ranger. Now that she and Tanya had similar necklaces, they liked to joke that they were long-lost twins or something of the sort.
"It's beautiful," breathes Emily, admiring how it in some ways resembles the rubies in her wedding ring. Although it seems this crystal has a little more shine to it, a shine that seems to come from within the crystal itself.
"Well I still have mine," says Kat, fingering her own pink crystal that lies delicately at the base of her throat. "Remember we said we would never take it off?" The others, except Aisha nod, that day seared in their memories.
"But you were blue as a Zeo ranger," objects Jayden, thinking something had been off about his crystal being crimson. "Why is yours red?"
"He was red first," says Adam. "Like I was black first and that's why mine is black. We feel more connected to that color since it was our first, I guess. At least I do," he adds hastily.
"Kat was the only one who got to keep her color," Jason points out. "Not fair."
"But it wasn't my fault!" Kat protests, her cheeks starting to heat up. She looks to Billy for help but he is silent, unsure how to reassure her. "It just so happened that-"
"I'm kidding," Jason interrupts. Kat frowns at him while the others laugh lightly.
"You are not very amusing," she says stiffly, but a squeeze of her hand from Billy causes her to smile and forget such an accident. Jason sighs in relief; he didn't mean to make her mad.
"But are they…you know, the real crystals?" asks Emily, intrigued.
"Of course they're not the real Zeo crystals," Billy explains to the four Samurai. "I was able to experiment with different elements and by combining them together, thanks to their electron configurations that were surprisingly similar and by electroplating them; I was able to make a very real copy."
There's silence from the Samurai.
"Um…" Mia starts but trails off. Even Kevin looks like he has to think about what has just been said, seeing as Billy had explained rather fast.
"Remember you don't have Trini to explain for you this time," teases Rocky. The others burst out laughing as Billy rolls his eyes.
"I really need to find some people that actually understand English," he mutters. The Zeo rangers look mock outraged.
"I take offense to that" protests Aisha, crossing her arms over her chest.
"You know you love us," adds Jason, smiling innocently.
"Besides, we do understand English-just not your English." Rocky grins cockily and dodges the elbow Adam attempts to nudge him with.
"It's not my fault you need things in one-syllable words," Billy retorts, tugging at the lapels of his suit jacket. The others begin to loudly protest, smiling all the while.
"He's been hanging around with Cam too much," says Jason, shaking his head at the others as they continue to assault Billy with teasing remarks.
"More like Cam hung out too much with him," Jayden corrects. They watch the play fighting for a few moments, amused, until an African American girls runs up to them, her curly hair pulled up and away from her face.
"Come on Adam, the others want to see you," she barges in, grasping the so addressed boy's arm. He grins at her, his face instantly lighting up.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming," he answers happily. The girl turns to Kat.
"You too Kat," she says, breaking up the playful banter going on between the rest of the group. The pink ranger nods. "Okay." The girl tugs on Kat with her free hand.
"Sorry guys," Adam says, allowing himself to be dragged a short distance before stopping. "Wait!"
"What is it?" asks the girl impatiently. Emily wonders how she can be so fast in her high heels but she thinks the girl probably has had much more practice then her, since she looks to be about twenty-five or so.
"Jayden Emily, want to meet the Turbo rangers?" Adam turns to them. "Or the one you haven't met yet, anyway."
"Sure," answers Emily enthusiastically. "We'll see you guys later!" She waves to the Samurai and Zeo rangers before following Adam and the girl over to the former Turbo rangers.
By the way, maknae is a Korean word for the youngest of a group. I think it usually means only for one person but since I'm really into Korean things I decided to incorporate my knowledge.
