CHAPTER 5
"BAHAHAHAHA! RANDY-CHAN, YOU'RE SO FUNNY!"
Nagisa wiped a tear from the corner of his eye. He then proceeded back to laughing and clutching his stomach. Rei and Gou just rolled their eyes at the antics of the two other freshmen. It was lunch hour, and all four freshmen were walking up the stairs to meet with their senpais. Gou felt bad that she had left Hana all alone, but the girl had friends to eat with from another freshmen class, so Gou didn't have to worry too much. Besides, Hana insisted that Gou re-introduced Randy to the swim team after this morning's...incident.
Luckily, Nagisa and Randy hit it off by cracking jokes and making puns about who-knows-what. They both squealed when they found out they were both Directioners, and they talked too fast for outsiders to keep up with their conversation. Only Rei made the effort to try to understand what the two were saying.
Climbing up the stairs, the group finally made it to the roof. Rei quickly spotted the upperclassmen and rushed over, fixing his glasses as if he was nervous. He would be, since the famous Lace-Panties-chan decided to join them for lunch today.
That, and the fact that she basically sexually harassed every member of the swim team.
"Ah! It's Kou, Nagisa, Rei, and…," Makoto's eyes lit up in surprise when he saw their new guest.
"Ah! You're the girl from earlier!"
Sitting down, Randy scooted up close to Makoto, looking up at him with doe eyes.
"The one and only," she whispered, then she winked with a smile.
Nagisa and Rei laughed at Randy's antics, while Gou just sat with her mouth in the shape of an 'O'. She will never not be amazed at this girl's sexual confidence! Makoto blushed profusely, while Haru just glared at her.
"Now, now, I seem to have forgotten your name. What's your name?," Makoto asked once he had recovered.
Smiling, Randy confidently introduced herself.
"My name is Litelli Racquel Randolph! But you can call me Randy!"
"Eh? Your name is Randolph?" Gou asked, mispronouncing Randolph as 'randarph'.
Randy's smile faded for a moment before she waved it off.
"Yeah, but I hate how boyish it is! So I just get people to call me Randy! It's cuter~!," she finished with a sparkle in her eye.
"Ne, ne! Randy was telling me how one time, she went to a One Direction Concert, and Harry Styles winked at her!," Nagisa cut in, wanting to talk about 1D again.
"Eh?!," everyone but Haru said.
The group got to talking about 1D(even though it was just Nagisa, Gou, and Randy talking about this. Rei, Mako, and Haru talked about swimming and video games), and then they began asking questions about America.
"Riterri-san, how did you get so fluent in Japanese? Are you partially Japanese?," Makoto asked, curious about both answers.
"Naw, man. Japanese was taught at my school back home, I'm a black-Italian Latina." Randy gave a peace sign as if to show some nationalist pride.
"Eh…," everyone besides Haru trailed off, amazed at how 'cultural' the girl was.
"Riterri-san, you are very cultured," Rei told her, amazed.
Randy just laughed, saying that it was no big deal.
"Geez, guys, you really don't have to call me Li-uh, Riterri-san! Just call me Randy!"
Rei blushed at the familiarity Randy wanted.
"Now, Riterri-san, in Japan, we don't call others by our first names unless we have an intimate relationship with them," Makoto interjected, trying to save Randy's uncultured ass.
"Oh...well, I mean, you guys can still call me Randy. It's just a nickname," she shrugged, then she turned to Haruka, studying his face. At the feeling of being watched, Haru gazed up at the girl, and her dark brown eyes practically pierced his ice blue ones.
"By the way, I still don't know your name," she said to Haru, causing him to sigh in response.
At the realization that Haru might not respond the girl, Makoto reintroduced himself and Haruka.
"Ah, where have my manners gone? I apologize for not bringing this up earlier. My name is Tachibana Makoto, and this is Nanase Haruka."
"Oh. So, should I call you Tachibana-san?"
"Yes, that would be great," Makoto smiled.
"And, you're Nanase-san?," Randy asked Haru.
"...Haru."
"What?," Randy asked. She couldn't hear the quiet boy's murmur, so he cleared his throat and spoke even louder.
"Call me Haru," he said, glaring at her before turning back to his bento.
"Oh, okay. Cool," Randy responded, finishing her lunch as well.
Although Randy didn't notice, Makoto, Rei, Nagisa, and Gou all sat speechless, staring at the hydrophilic. Was this really their Haruka? Would Haru REALLY let someone he practically just met be so familiar with him?
But he didn't say anything more about the subject, so everyone hurriedly finished their food before the bell rang.
"Ah! By the way, everyone! I was going to invite Randy to swim practice today!," Gou said as they were getting ready to head back to class.
"Eh?! Randy's coming to practice?!," Nagisa bounced over to Randy, hugging her with the cuteness of a koala bear.
"Ne, that would be great!"
"Simply beautiful!"
Only Haru didn't respond to Gou's announcement. Then again, no one thought he would.
The only one who was unexcited about the news was Randy herself. Biting her lip, she looked into Gou's bright eyes, not wanting to disrupt whatever spirit Gou had in her. But the moment their eyes met, Gou knew that her plan was simply not to be.
"Ne, what's wrong?," Gou asked her.
The excitement died down as Randy told the news.
"Um. I can't come today."
Silence fell amongst the group until Nagisa practically screamed.
"EEEHH?! Why not, Randy-chan?!"
"...I'm busy after school."
"You're always busy," Gou murmured before she could stop herself. Biting her tongue, she noticed that Randy had heard her.
"...I can come on Saturday, though."
"EH?!," both Nagisa and Gou cried, excitement once again springing up between the group.
"Yeah, since Saturday's a half-day and everything, I can come to the meeting then since it's right after school, right?"
"Y-yes!"
"Then I can't wait!," Randy beamed.
Once the group had walked back to their classes, Randy stopped from entering the classroom when Gou's hand caught her shoulder.
"Ne, I forgot to tell you. Saturdays are always joint meetings with the swimming school, Samezuka Academy. I just wanted to let you know," Gou said as she walked into the classroom.
Following behind her, Randy tried to piece this together.
"Oh, so, like, more swimmers means more boys?," she asked, sitting at her desk next to Gou.
"Hm! As a matter of fact, it's an all-boy swim team from the all-boy school my Onii-chan attends!"
As expected, Randy quickly turned her head to Gou, gaping at the girl. Gou chuckled at her behavior, and said, "I can't wait for you to meet him!"
By this point, Randy started to drool. Wiping her mouth with her sleeve, she asked, "Is your brother hot?"
"Eh?! How am I supposed to know!"
"Well, I mean, you should know, right?"
"No! He's my brother! That's why I DON'T know!"
"Oh, right."
It didn't matter to Randy that they had already had this conversation before. She just wanted to share her hormonal urges with someone, even if that someone was SO not interested in such a conversation.
"Oh, yeah, he is HOT," Hana interjected as she sat down at her desk.
"YAY!"
"UGH, stop talking about my Onii-chan that way, guys!," Gou hated it when girls fawned over her brother. It just made her feel gross. And girls fawned over him her ENTIRE LIFE, yet Gou couldn't get used to it.
"Class, let's begin chapter 17," the teacher started, signalling that lunch hour was over.
For the first time in a while, Randy had something nice to look forward to.
Hey ya'll! Hope ya'll liked the chapter! Heehee, I can't wait to introduce RINRIN! Rin's my fav, if you haven't noticed already. Reminder that * means speaker is speaking English!
